Along the way, Sam connects with a friend who fills his life with joy and purpose after losing his wife of many years. Together Sam and Samantha embark on a life journey to relocate to a remote section of the country. Their efforts are bolstered by newfound riches and like-minded friends. When the United States suffers a major cataclysm at the hands of the rich and powerful, Sam and Samantha hunker down awaiting the unrest that is sure to come. Their tedious preparations for bad times and the one minded nature of their relationship help them to survive a vicious attack as the country tries to recover.

I have read several of this author’s books now as I love Prepper Fiction. He can write well and there are a few but not tons of editing errors. However, I have a few “pet peeves”…his couples always go on a cruise, always have sex before marriage while proclaiming their Christian faith, and he always has to show her how to work her phone. Samantha is the CEO of some corporation and can’t text? Other weirdness is that his shrink sets him up with prostitutes for his PTSD and new girlfriend calls shrink without his permission and of course the guy tells her all about it. Really?? Only the author’s best friend would give this book five stars!

Too political and extreme!

I have read several of his books. I recently started reading thus genre. Unfortunately, he constantly berates anyone not of his particular extreme right wing views. He casts anyone not MAGA as the villain in his story and elevated Sean Hannity and Fox as heroes, despite Fox being held accountable for millions of dollars owed to companies they slandered i.e. Dominion as well as others. Amusingly Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity's emails about the former president being dumb and expressing their disdain for him is virtually missing in Mr. Carson's books.
Sadly I won't read any more by this author.

MC

The story may very well come.tl.pass . America is broke has to borrow money to pay the interest in trillions of do!!are of debt . Printing paper money which is becoming worthless.. There not a lot of.people who have millions for.Airplanes or large underground compounds. What you read here has a lot of truth .. I wluld.add.that the Book of Revelations has a lot to say on what will.happen in the future but.....one has to
Believe in God to believe what the Bible predicts .

A very politically slanted book.

I gave this a 2 star because of how politically slanted it was. With all that is happening in this nation right now, books like this just stir the pot so to speak. The author writes a good story, with believable characters, I just think slanted politics shouldn't be in it.

should be required reading

Finally, the author seems to have changed his pro-conservative thinking and reverted to a true non-partisan stance. I applaud his stance and recommend this book to those who support the current administration and its corruption. Hopefully, this will come to pass in real life.

Great read

I loved this book. It always surprises me when a very great author comes out with a new way to stage TEOTWAWKI. No vulgar language or sickening sex scenes. I enjoyed reading how Sam and Sam lived their life after becoming wealthy. I can always dream.😀

Very enjoyable storyline.

I have now read three books by Ross Carson. I have enjoyed them. However I do find he uses and reuses many of the same elements in each of the stories I have read. I am not looking forward to more of the same.

worth your time to read

Another story about what could happen in the coming months.
Trying to find the truth in the news or internet is becoming increasingly difficult but important. Planning for your future is becoming more important each day.
