So unlike the others, I listened to the audiobook and didn't run into the Grammer issues. The mystery was good but what I took issue with is the "born again" religion bent to the stories. I love a good mystery read and I love good characters, which this story had both but the PI has been "born again" and there was a bunch of religious speak woven into the story which got old after awhile and bordered on zealot at times. I would have preferred a foot note or warning that this should fall into a "sweet mystery" or "religious mystery" genre. When the main characters quote scripture and bible verses to move the story forward, yeah it should fall into a different category.

The best of J S Donovan

I have read most of the novels of J S Donovan, and have enjoyed them all, but this collection was by far the best that I have read. The stories were much more thrilling and chilling than previous ones, and kept me reading long into the night, which previous ones did not. Also, there have always been numerous typos and grammatical errors in prior books, which were really annoying and hard to ignore, but this one did not have nearly the number of errors, which also helped with the story line!

These books were fantastic. People complain about the errors and won't read the books because of them. Personally I can say that yes, there were errors that were very obvious but they did not bother me enough to stop reading. This author was so realistic with the story-line that it was chilling. Most tend to candy-coat the horrors of things that unfortunately happen in real life. I definitely will read more of J.S. Donovan's books. Excellent reading. Thanks for the hours of edge of the seat reading.

I hate to give these 6 books a 3, but the lack of editing, spelling error, words in wrong order, etc. was very distracting in other very good books. 3 books follow a PI determined to help girls kidnapped, forced into sex trafficking and sold. The second set of 3 books follow an ex-Miami detective turned PI trying to find kidnapped girls before a serial murderer kills them. I enjoyed both sets, the 2nd better than the first until the error got worse and worse.

Whose Stealing the Kids

This is indeed a riveting kidnapping mystery. The path this author took in writing this story is simply a work of art. Great plot, exceptional characters that are well developed. The storyline has a steady easy flow and the twists and turns keeps the reader turning pages. Great Read

My original rating was a 3-4. I enjoyed the twists and intensity. I did not care for the grammar errors as it caused some difficulty understanding parts of many sentences.

If you like detective stories than this book is for you. I enjoyed the action although main character was certainly at deaths door several times.

Mixed Opinion

J. S. Donovan is quite talented in terms of the stories and characters in her books. Sadly, I had difficulty focusing on the books because they were riddled with grammatical and typographical errors. The editor and/or publisher did a poor job of presenting a talented writer’s work.

Good and bad

I can't quite understand how this author works: 80% of good writing and 20% of bad grammar. Personally I just can't read a book that does not 'read properly' so one book in this set was enough for me.

Poorly Written and Boring

The story doesn't flow and to many grammatical errors. Who was this authors editor? It's as if ideas were scribbled on paper then a story forced around them.

Bless your heart

Tried so hard to give this book the benefit of the doubt. Not there. Think before you put a story together. THINK. so convoluted nothing makes sense. I'm actually in your corner, but think girl. Good luck.

Hard to read

Although this was a good book, it was hard to read because of the children involved. However, at least Anna came out victorious. The price she paid was insurmountable, but she never gave up even at the risk of her sanity and her family.

Great stories

I loved the stories but they need to get a better editor. Misplaced words duplicating descriptions and just all around bad editing where sometimes the sentence didn't make sense and a lot of places missing words.

Excellent

Each story was as captivating as the next. Minor editorial misses with grammar or spelling but nothing too detracting from the story itself. I look forward to reading more!

Great selection, 2 complete novels, plus all are good with good narration byRamona and Mikela. The plot interest a person from the beginning, with audio they added to the stories. Given audio for my voluntary review

Way to many typos and wrong words.

It makes reading the books nerve racking. I only read the first one and then skipped 75%. Seriously proofread these again.

Interesting series

I love a good mystery. The errors in grammar spelling and wrong words used did detract from the enjoyment of a nice little story.
