A highly practical book with illustrative vignettes that can be very helpful. Unfortunately, I listened to the audiobook and it is WAY more suitable for a personal library reference book.

I expected this book to have more actionable suggestions for saving nature. But most of each chapter was information about insects, birds, amphibians, etc. Interesting but not what I was looking for. So I skimmed most of that. The last few pages of each chapter talked about bee houses, bird feeders, and other things you could actually do.

Very good information about what we can do in our yards and communities to support wildlife, but it was a little sparse; just bullet lists. I was looking for less about regional species and more about making changes to my yard.

Nothing groundbreaking or particularly informative here. A few nice descriptions of the natural world, but mostly just lists of here you might find different animals.

Interesting to listen to, I think it is better enjoyed on paper.
Also it would be good to mention that it is only about nature in the USA.
The saving part was very repetitive and very small, but I really liked all the information on the different plants and animals.

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
