Hi everyone, Its Christopher the reader here, the book we are here to talk about tonight is (Drum roll) Byte Me. This was my first read of Celinda Labrousse's work. After reading this story I think I might give her other books a go sometime. I first read this story in January, of this year (2023). It took me a few hours to finish reading. 'Byte Me' was first published on the 24th of September in 2019. The book was told using first person with it being in Mae's point of view. Which had 24 chapters. all together the story had 178 pages.

- I thought that it had some good character detail and It felt pretty realistic. To be honest I haven't read a book like this one before, it surprised me. I saw the title 'Byte Me' and it being under the tag that it was I just had to add it to my to buy TBR as I love anything under that tag. When I first started reading it, I found the story to be pretty interesting. Yeah For me I do feel like it took a while to start, I feel that things only just started really moving after chapter 6, but I really enjoyed the action that the book had later on, I loved the mystery side of the story.

- I liked the ending, I was happy that we got to find out why some of the things within the book happened. I liked that this story had it's own audible, I thought that it was good although while reading along I did notice that one sentence was repeated on page 149. I do think that I will re-read this book again next year. If the story ever comes out in hardback I'll love to buy it. Personally I would like it if this book was turned into a TV Show. If it ever does I'll definitely go and watch it.

For each story that I read, I rate it out of 10 so for this am going to give it a 6.6. Remember this was what I thought about the book personally and I suggest that you give it a go for yourself.

I'm biased because I love Celinda's work. This is the second story (it comes with a short novella that dives into another part of the story) and the better of the two personally. If you like YA sci-fi mystery writers this author is for you.

I enjoyed this wee zombie tale very much. At first, I thought this was going to be one of those 'trying to be scary' girly stories. How wrong was I? Very.

Cleverly thought-out, well-written, genuinely emotional, and very unsettling.

I chose this book from a larger selection, which I then voluntarily read and honestly reviewed. All opinions are my own.
