Kimberly Long Cockroft grew up in Bangladesh and Kenya. She now lives in the beautiful, rainy Pacific Northwest with her three daughters, husband, and a huge, mischievous puppy. She was inspired to write her picture book, Reading Beauty, after she found her daughter asleep on a pile of books. Kimberly often stays up way too late with her nose in a book, but there's nothing quite as wonderful as falling into a deep read! When she's not reading, she's writing stories for Cricket, Spider, Ladybug and Babybug magazines.
