America’s northern neighbor, Canada, is similar to the United States in many ways but also very different. Kids will learn about Canada’s diverse wildlife as well as some of its biggest cities such as Toronto and Vancouver. They will hear about what school is like for kids in Canada, how people often speak both English and French, and how Canadians enjoy playing hockey.

A neat little book exploring the facets of Canada. Canada is the 2nd largest country after Russia. It has the most shoreline of any country. Three out of four Canadians live within 100 miles of the United States border. In Quebec, school classes are taught in both French and English; however, most people speak English. Canada is rich in minerals including diamonds, lumber, and fisheries. Most of the maple syrup produced in the world comes from Canada. Canada became a federation in 1867 and has added provinces to its counry so that now it extends from sea to sea.
32 pages. Another great book in the Exploring Countries series. Format and information is excellent. Great photos, charts and additional information at the end. Great job! Highly recommended Gr. 4 and up.
