Grace thought leaving would make forgetting Jeremiah easier. But returning home means facing the truth—about him, her family, and the fears she’s never fully confronted. Jeremiah gave Grace his heart, only to watch her walk away. Now she’s back, stirring up emotions he’s tried to bury. But heartbreak isn’t his only battle—a long-hidden family secret is pulling him toward a darkness he swore he’d never fall into. With past regrets, family drama, and unresolved feelings between them, Grace and Jeremiah must Will fear keep them apart forever? Or will one dance change everything? A story of love, redemption, and the courage to face the past..
Admittedly, book 1 took me about halfway to get into. It just felt cringe and like I was reading a Christian’s journal entries in the beginning, but overtime I grew for the characters. I can’t say I loved it by the end of book 1, but book 2 captivated me from the beginning. Book 1 leaves you on a cliffhanger so I had to see what happened next. The writing really shoots up in book 2, even when I found the character’s infuriating and insufferable at times, Cierra had a way with words that were striking. The love story between Jeremiah and Grace is worth the wait. I loved reading about the secondary characters too. Book 1 drove me crazy because it seemed like the editing and proofreading was missed, but I can’t knock the storytelling and plot. Cierra gives yearning and steadfastness a new meaning with her MCs.
It delivered every ounce of suspense and romance I hoped for. The way Jeremiah fought for Grace? Honey. That man pulled up like, “Y’all can stand around if you want, but I’m going to get my woman.” Period. Grace, sis, why you still running? You know good and well this man lives for the chase. Their journey? It was raw, beautiful, and heart breaking. But through all their trials, their love was always there waiting. I especially loved how they didn’t try to carry everything alone. Sure, They leaned on family and close friends to encourage them, yes. But most of all, they leaned on God. And that faith? It added such a deep richness to their story.
Incredible. Thank God for Cierra. Absolutely amazing writer. She had me laughing out loud, I have so many annotations on my Kindle of ‘Ahhhhh’ , ‘Crazyyyy’ ‘Slayyyyy’. I had such a good time reading this book. The plot twists are twisting, the romance is romancinggg. I learnt things too about Christ and the challenges believers have on their walk, but how community and prayer helps every time. Cierra we need the next one. Plssss. Don’t walk, run and read this book! and it’s available on Kindle Unlimited. Thank God for that, cause that’s how I found it. But feeling like I wanna get a physical copy and read it again. So good!
Sweet Grace deserved all the love in the world, and Jeremiah definitely gave her that!
This was such a cute and fun read! Each character had their flaws, and they all worked to better themselves. I liked that. The ending definitely caught me off guard. Can’t wait for the next book.
