I feel like it is completely impossible to rate and review something like A Radical Approach to the Akashic Records: Master Your Life and Raise Your Vibration because the quality of the reading experience is so completely dependent on the reader's current state of mind, as well as what the reader does with the author's message. Around the time when I first started reading this book, I was feeling more zen and peaceful than I have ever felt in my life... I was really figuring this whole law of attraction thing out and felt that ascension was something obtainable. After reading just a few pages, I was sure that Feick's message would lead to an even more profound spiritual breakthrough for me. But then Mercury got its shit together and went out of retrograde and I simultaneously seem to have lost my shit: Cue the anxiety, lethargy, irritability, and general feelings of grossness. Okay, to be fair, I don't know if Mercury is to blame, or if this was coincidental but I am not enjoying it...
Anyways, I plan to revisit this book at a later date so that I can really appreciate its full potential. In the meantime, I'm not going to give a starred rating, as it would be either really unfair (if I rated lowly simply because my head wasn't in the right space) or dishonest (if I gave it five stars when I don't feel like it really "broke through" to me). I 100% blame this on myself and my current state of mind.
It was a really great book. Very detailed but also easy to understand. You do obviously have to know a little bit about the Akashic records going in so you are not completely lost. I think she really helps you look at them in a different way and how they can help you in your every day life. You can learn so many things from working with your records and healing and this book opens up a whole new world for that. it gave great advice and also step by step instructions and meditations not only on how to get in and read your own but also others akashic records.
In an effort to do a little research on accessing past lives through meditation and hypnosis for a current writing project that I’m working on, I picked this book up based on its huge readership! There are so many great reviews, and the author even has MP3 downloads available on her website for a price, of course, so I figured she must really know what she’s talking about. I didn’t have much information on what I was actually looking for, but nonetheless, it’s still a pretty cool and informative read on accessing the quantum field during akashic healing.
I’ve read and reviewed quite a few self-help books, a few Law of Attraction based reads, a hypnosis scripts how-to, and some healing meditation stuff. I’ve also been doing a bit of chakra meditating myself which is amazing BTW, so even though I don’t call myself an expert (far from it really) I still feel like I’ve made myself knowledgeable enough in the genre to compare this read accurately with others like it. Ultimately, I’d say it's a very thurow description of the energy fields accessed through deep healing meditation. Melissa Feick is very clearly an education woman who is able to explain the science behind vibrational energies in just as much depth as the spiritual aspect. And although I found much of the already fairly short book to be repetitive, sometimes that’s necessary to really drive the points home.
Much of what’s in this book is just the same as any other describing the accessibility to one’s higher spiritual self. That said, there were a few random passages that I had to re-read a couple times, just because they were so beautifully worded and resonating that I wanted to let them sink in a little deeper. Some very insightful metaphors are sprinkled into this book, pared with some extremely encouraging words of upliftment and empowerment. This is a great book to read if you’re looking for a bite size yet thorough description of deep healing meditation.4 stars for me.
This book was a pleasure to read, I could hardly put it down. If you're on the path of conscious ascension, or are just feeling stuck and don't know what the next step is, this is a good place to start. The author is very thorough and makes the subject easy to understand and the methods are simple. Even as I read the meditations my energy was raised and I was in the akashic records. And this occurred several times in the reading of the book. You will most likely find it's not a completely unfamiliar place. I experienced some immediate relief from physical pain and anxiety, and I've felt calmer since having a few visits there. So, get this book! It will help you and so many others around you have a more wonderful life. I'm looking forward to doing more of this work for myself and my family, and possibly freeing us from many years of suffering.
I've not found another book that explains the Akashic Records as well as this book does. This is great information, and the author includes valuable instructions that are easy to follow.
This is the most accessible book I've read regarding the Akashic records. I think after reading this book some readers may find they've been tapping into the records without realizing it, much like the author herself.
There is quite a bit of repetition, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing for a novice. Her articulations are easy to understand; it's missing the condescending language used by some authors on this subject, which many times become a block to readers. On the other hand, those who are religious about the Akashic records may find this book unappealing.
By no means exhaustive, it definitely has something to offer the spiritually curious reader.
Melissa’s book was enlightening for me. Things have happened in my life and I wasn’t aware how it manifested. Here is a brief example, I wanted pearl white rosary beads for my boyfriends new car. I did a favor for my dear aunt. She was so grateful that she sent me in her words “a small token” to show her appreciation. Well when I opened the gift it was a white pearl rosary beads. Wow! I called her immediately to let her know this Was NOT a small token. Melissa’s book is amazing. I highly recommend it.
I really wish people would stop cobbling together elements from already established belief systems to create something culturally appropriative and predatory. Some red flags:
—mentioning karma and reincarnation are tenants of Hinduism doesn’t give you leeway to redefine them —maybe, and this might be a shock, but if you’re writing “I’ll explain this in chapter 8” FIVE TIMES IN A ROW you should restructure your book —citing your own website as expert advice is…certainly a move…as is advertising your own wares mid explanation
The whole book was Akashic Records this and Akashic Records that and says what it does for you but doesn’t bother to explain how to access the records. Furthermore, the information in every chapter was saying the same exact thing (dig deep and confront whatever the problem is). There was nothing radical about the approach.
This book and information is laid out very well - very helpful and informative. This gave me a much-much deeper understanding of the Akashic Records, prior my knowledge was basic.
After having read numerous books on topics such as reincarnation, past-life regression, and life after death, I wanted to find out more about the Akashic Records. I came across several and chose this one to start with. It was available on Kindle Unlimited so I decided to give it a try as I assumed it would provide deeper insight into this fascinating topic. Just to be clear, I was not reading it to learn to access the Records personally at this time or because I was interested in providing readings for others. I simply wished to gain more insight about the Records and maybe read of some personal experiences of those who have accessed them before.
However, I found the book to be too general in respect to the information provided and the few examples of previous experiences referred to by the author pertaining to other people's experiences with the records were extremely vague, to say the least. I was extremely disappointed in that respect. It was basically an instruction manual to learn how to access the records which I believe would take longer than she implies unless you're a well-seasoned practitioner of meditation. It also provides instruction and advice for those who wish to read the Records for others.
I found that the author repeats concepts too many times (e.g., karma, personal responsibility, cosmic energy as a living spiral, etc.). It also tells you repeatedly that you will attain Oneness, release your karma and attain spiritual awakening, among other things, by accessing the Akashic Records. I'm not saying that these statements are not valid but they were all repeated at least twice in every chapter which could become a little annoying to some people: repeating these a couple of times throughout the book, and maybe as a summary in the final chapter, would suffice. Much of this is already familiar to the general public. The author does dig a little deeper into the topics of reincarnation and karma, which each have a chapter on their own, but the added information she provided did not shed as much as I would have liked.
Additionally, I think that a few of the newer concepts she mentions are sometimes either too vague, too generalized or they seem to contradict each other. Regarding contradiction, for instance, Feick states that, in effect, there are Akashic Records that exist on the lower vibrational planes beside the Akashic Records that are in the quantum field. She also says that that they different as to the type of information we would be able to glean from them. However, she really doesn't explain the differences between one and the other except that one exists on the lower planes and the other in the quantum field. It would have been helpful to provide more information as to what type of information could you access the "lower" plane Akashic Records as opposed to that found in the "higher plane" which is the one she talks about in this book.
The author also provides a couple of meditations but there really is no difference between the two except that one of the meditations is meant for those who are planning to read for others. In truth, the second meditation is precisely the first one with the addition of the seeker's intentions (which, I would think, goes without saying). That could be said in so many words in the chapter containing the first meditation without having to dedicate an entire chapter to the second.
Regardless, the book does have its merits as a basic introduction for those uninitiated in the topics of reincarnation, karma, and the Akashic Records. For those who are interested in accessing the Akashic Records it provides helpful advice and instruction although, as I've said before, the process seems to be oversimplified especially for those who are newer to meditative practices and attaining higher states of consciousness which is extremely important in order to do this type of work.
I have no doubt in my mind that the author is a highly successful and gifted intuitive. However, the book itself could use a lot of editing. It could be more effective if it were more concise and rounded. A book with less repetition, more explanations and a few in depth examples would prove more helpful. The author and her readers would benefit immensely if she would consider writing a newly revised edition.
As to the general instruction for attaining access to the Records, this book would prove helpful to those who already practice meditation and are already familiar with deeper spiritual practice. Learning to read for others would prove valuable only to those who are already experienced in accessing the records for themselves. I, personally, would first learn to walk before running.
For those who are seeking further information about the Akashic Records, I would actually recommend reading other books on the subject before reading this one. Based on the ratings and the author's background, I would highly recommend Edgar Cayce on the Akashic Records by Kevin J. Todeschi. This is one book that I look forward to reading in the very near future.
Another esoteric book. While I have yet to experience what was written on the book, I thought the following points are the key highlights:
1. When you wrap yourself in the blanket of shame, guilt, sadness, or anger, and see the world as a dark place and see the people of the Earth as bad, then you are buying into the illusion. Buying into the illusion keeps you stuck in the fear, anger, and guilt. When you start to recognize that you are living in an illusion and that there is no right or wrong, good or bad, you will learn to forgive, and let go of the anger and sadness.
2. Equanimity is a term Buddhists use when they are connecting compassion and feeling neutral about a situation or event. Equanimity is when you feel love and compassion while in the middle of a chaotic situation.
3. Everything that happens in your life is just an experience, and it’s the energy you put into that experience that makes it either a difficult or negative experience, a neutral experience, or a positive experience.
4. We tend to call negative experiences lessons, but they are only experiences. These experiences upset you, and when we use the word lesson, it makes you feel like there is a right way or a wrong way to handle the situation like you had control over the situation. For instance, “I’ve learned my lesson to stay away from her.” Next time you come across a lesson, take a look at what’s happening, and what you can understand about yourself and your reaction. It’s more about self-realization and less about the lesson.
5. On these lower planes, you are constantly experiencing duality. The energy of duality is part of the human experience in the lower planes, and the duality creates the feeling of isolation and separation. This separation shows up in your life through familiar patterns; us versus them, right versus wrong, good versus bad, anger versus love, and so on. This duality keeps you feeling attached to the illusion of the lower planes. If you are attached, you cannot ascend easily. The lower planes connect to the illusion of hierarchy, duality, and time and space.
6. Karma means you are getting caught in the illusion or the false reality of the self that you believe is who you really are. That self would be considered the ego identity. So many see the self as a name, a job, and a family. It has stories of hurt and anger, but this is only a reflection of the truth of who you are.
7. You live in a world of drama. The drama comes in many interesting packages: the drama of family, money drama, illness, as well as the drama in your job, in society, in your country or even within the movies. All of that drama around you is an illusion because when you change your perception of the drama, your experience of the drama changes.
This was the worst book I have ever read, and I read a lot. First of all the book is repeating itself all over the place. It never get into the subjects, everything is airy and superficial. She has ideas of great concepts, but sadly she is not capable of writing a book, or writing in general. I wish I could get my money back. From all the 5-stars reviews here and on amazon, I bought it, and kept reading because surely something good must be in there for all of these reviews?! I found myself skimming the book, not even wanting to read it properly, only to get it over with. Next time I will buy Linda Howe, which I have learned is like the queen of akashic records. Please save yourself your time and money, and look for an another book instead!
Melissa’s meditations always take me to the next level (or a few above that if I’m ready) and I’m so glad she’s able to offer her gift to the world! Melissa’s understanding of the Akashic Records is truly unbelievable. She is a teacher, a sage and a guiding light, and this book gives her the chance to share her knowledge in an easily understandable way. Her writing and meditations are divinely guided and does not disappoint!! Thank you so much, Melissa! I can’t wait to re-read!
While I was familiar with the Akashic Records, I never thought of approaching them or seeking help and clarity from them in the way Melissa outlines in her book. Concise, easy to read, yet quite thorough, Melissa not only presents the information, but gives you insights of how to really use the information correctly to raise your level of awareness, and helps overcome the repeating patterns we all go through in our lives.
I am ready to take the next step, start using her techniques, and overcome the patterns that may be holding me back!
Melissa is divinely human and humanly divine. Not only does she deliver powerful teachings but she teaches powerfully as well. After her book popped into my awareness, I signed up for deepening practices with her at beginning of year. This provides valuable tools for self care and if you're inclined as I am toward the healers path, a fantastic tool to offer. The more you make yourself available to receive from the records, the more constant and consistent the records provide for you....
Great information for accessing higher vibrations and the Akashic Records
I found this book to be very informative and I was able to follow her meditations where I could activate and align my chakras, then raising my vibration to the quantum level to where I could access the Akashic Records. She also gives steps on reading other's Akashic records for them. I do believe that I can do this following her steps, I just want to spend more time in the records before I take this next step. This book will be one I will be recommending to others interested in this topic.
I think this book serves as a beginners guide for those who don't have a core spiritual knowledge. I felt athor speaks more about everything else instead of Akashic records maybe because she was trying to keep it open ended because reality is Akashic records is subjective. However she has laid down couple of practical exercises with a framework to start your practice. From what I've learned in the book : if you are able to connect to the records, you can transform your entire life for eternity....
This book offers a complete introduction, with thorough explanations, exercises, self-investigation opportunities and instruction.
I am familiar with the Akashic Records, I was surprised at how well it is explained in her book about souls, life between lives, reincarnation, and other topics that I was not familiar with.
The downside it seemed the last chapter repeated what was said in her prior chapters.
It helps me understand the concept of many of my issues in my current life.
I am so glad I decided to check this book out, it's weird... I came across a little piece of paper that is written a note to myself in instructing me to look into "Akashic Records" and I have no idea when or why I did this, but I happened across this book shortly after and decided that it was not a coincidence. Thank you so much for this book, I couldn't have asked for more.
Many spiritual books and religious traditions allude to the existence of something called "The Book of Life", which is now more commonly known as "The Akashic Records". Melissa Feick shows you how to access this information to answer questions about why certain life trends and issues may be happening in your life or in someone else's. It uses easy to understand language and is user friendly with how it organizes the information.
It's a great lesson in how to access the records. I have read many but this is the best so far. I think it's a bit much to charge for the recordings of the meditate she does in the book when you bought the book though. I feel that is a bit greedy. That is my one issue. Definitely worth the read and record those guided medications on your own. Buying them when you already bought the book is double dipping for me.
I truly enjoyed this read. There was a lot of valuable information that tied into my psychology background. I am very grateful to learn more about this spiritual experience and especially loved the further explanation of ego outside of the traditional psychology route. It makes a ton more sense now. Thank you Melissa trick for opening my mind even more.
Melissa gives language to the interior experience of attuning to wisdom from above and to our transformation from ego-consciousness to soul-consciousness. She simplifies and normalizes what some might call the mystical and esoteric. She encourages and stays on target to what I consider our life mission.
I found the information in the book new to me. I am exited and can’t wait to access the Akashic records. Not sure how I will be certain that the answers are coming from the records. I found the information repeated in many chapters and sometimes the chapter start with different topics from the headings. However, overall I loved the book.
I had such high hopes for this book. Sadly, it did NOT meet my expectations. Repetitive, annoyingly so, lots of information I already knew and she only spends one chapter on how to access the records. BUT, you have to purchase the meditations in this book separately so it was basically a wasted read for me.
An excellent reference for guiding into Akashic Records
This book is a nice compilation of various spiritual concepts and philosophies that are explained in very deep but clear pearls. I am currently practicing the meditations to enter the Records and I thank Melissa for writing such a beautiful book.
I really like this book. It was clear, easy to understand , and accessible. It makes the process of accessing one’s own records, and those of others,so easy to do and I understand. I am looking forward to using this book as a resource as I continue to grow in my practice of accessing the records.
I thought it was very detailed and informative about the Akashic Records. I would recommend this book to all of my friends looking for information like this. Want to read more!
