But what was experience other than an accumulation of data? The only awareness that I had that told me my previous data was simply given to me, rather than processed, was the lack of completeness to them, or the sense of choice at what I would like to remember.

My thoughts:
I loved so, so much about this novel!!! I’ll be honest, I got it as a bit of a lark – I was wanting a fun and steamy short story. But this one provided so much more.

I adored the beginning of this novel so, so much. The first half was like...romance catnip to me. I fell in love with both these mains and just loved the premise of this. The first scenes had great build up for being a shorter page count.

I really enjoyed the whole book, except the epilogue vibes. I just thought they were a bit sad, but overall I am not a fan of those long term epilogues/extended epilogues. I just want to live in the moment and enjoy that hahah and not think about the future.

Overall though this was such a fun read and I’m so happy I gave it a try! Please write more of these, Sky!

Readability: How ‘readable’ was the book? Did I fly through it? Did I have to tell myself to pick it back up repeatedly? Were any passages confusing? (I will probably score like (1) is literally unreadable due to formatting/typing errors, etc (2) There were lots of errors that made it difficult to read OR It was extremely confusing and I had to reread passages to make sense of it OR I disliked it so much I had to bribe myself to keep reading (3) I didn’t really want to keep reading and would have preferred to abandon the read and start something else OR some minor continuity issues/confusion (4) I liked it fine, maybe a minor error or 2. I was happy to pick it up when I had time. (5) I never wanted to put this down. I thought about it when I wasn’t reading it. I hid in the bathroom from my kids to read. I threw inappropriate food at my children for dinner so I could read instead.)
Feels: Totally subjective to each person but did the book give me any tingles? Any butterflies? Did it rip my heart out (in a good way?)
Emotional depth: How well do I feel I know the characters at the end? How much did I feel their emotions throughout the story?
Sexual tension: Again, subjective, but how strong was the wanting and longing to me between the characters? A book might have strong sexual tension without a single touch.
Romance: Was there romance? Did romantic things happen? This can be actions/words/thoughts of the characters and again is subjective.
Sensuality: This is how the intimate scenes are written. Kisses and sexual scenes – how sensual were they? Were they on the mechanical side? Was there emotional pull tied in? Were the details explicit or flowery? These are subjective but generally (1) too short to get a good judgement (2) not all what I'm looking for - very vague or flowery prose (3) either not explicit enough or not enough emotional pull (too mechanical/physically descriptive without the emotions) (4) what I love in a scene (5) absolute perfection - perfect balance of emotional longing and explicit descriptions
Sex Scene Length: How long the bedroom scenes are (generally (1) is 1-3 sentences (2) is a few paragraphs to a page-ish (3) is about average, a few pages (4) more well developed scenes, quite a few pages with descriptions (4) the majority of the book takes place in the bedroom. This is always hard to tell for me on audio!
Steam Scale: Generally, each flame is a scene. If scenes are super close together I sometimes combine them. If a scene is super short or so vague I don’t know what’s happening, I don’t count it. There’s some levels of grey but generally the number of flames is how many sex scenes there are (I max out at 5 so I’ll put a + after if there’s more than that)

Ultra-hot and steamy romance featuring a robot with advanced features and adaptability exploring love and sacrifice that transcends human and machine boundaries.

Audio: Narrator Sage Amor does a good job with this short story. I enjoyed the voices she brought to Amanda and TK. The audio quality is good and there were no issues.

I normally don't go for short stories, but since this is written by one of my favorite authors, and I read everything she writes, I had to give it a try. I'm glad I did as I loved it! It may have been short, but it's an actual story, not just sex scenes. Her sexy scenes are always hot and not lacking in the least, and neither did this short story. This would be a good recommendation for anyone liking sci-fi romance. It is a perfect way to spend an hour and escape to another world.

I have loved every book I’ve read that Sky Roberts has written. I wasn’t sure if I’d like a robot romance, but decided to give it a try b/c it was written by Sky. I’m glad I gave it a shot. This one was different than her other stories, but still good. I could have read this as a whole novel, but alas, Sky wrote it as a quick, 1 hour story. It was spicy, sweet and surprising. You should give it a try, too. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Good story

This is an unusual story - a very short, VERY STEAMY foray into a future where sex dolls have become sentient robots with some astonishing augmentations - and they are MALE. How 'bout that! Of course there's a few complications to this female -oriented fantasy, like the fate of humanity, and ... OOPS! NO SPOILERS. You'll have to read this one for yourself. It's a bit roughly written, but worth it.

REVIEW 📚

I was in the mood for a quick read, and oh boy, was I in for a ride!

From the start, the novel exuded "The Terminator" vibes, which drew me in instantly. Although the plot looks simple, I have to admit, after completing it, it took me a while to process everything that happened. I fully expected this to be light-hearted as suggested by the synopsis and the author's comments, but I went through a series of emotions of feeling happy and sad, and was eventually left dumbstruck by the twisted ending. However, I still have several questions about the (future) timeline in relation to TK009, as I find that there are some contradictions. If there is a potential for a longer novel or series, I would love to read it.

Since this was a short story, there wasn't much information to work with in regards to the characters. Generally, both the main characters were likeable, and it was especially endearing to see how TK009 was attentive to Amanda's needs. Meanwhile, I respect Amanda's strong-willed mind, particularly how she handled the aftermath of the story's climax. Finally, the chemistry and tension between the two of them made the spicy scenes quite steamy.

If you're looking for a short and spicy cyborg/robot romance novel with featured themes such as "time travel," "insta-love," "size difference," and "special peen features," then this is the book for you.

The fate of humanity rests on pleasure doll TK-009 going back to the past and seducing a human woman by the name of Amanda. Her child is fated to doom humanity, so he must succeed at all costs. If he cannot seduce her, he must kill her.

This short one hour read is definitely not meant to be taken seriously but still manages to deliver on the feels that the author specializes in. In a world where men write women a certain way (you know what I mean), it seems only fair that a woman write a man to act the same. Spoofy. Punny. And still sexy.

Sometimes it doesn't have to be that deep. Though there are certainly parts of this that go very deep (😉). This is good for some fun.

I think this is my first robot romance! I really enjoyed how sweet T.K. was with Amanda and how devoted she was to him. For erotica it really was very sweet, and had a great sci-fi vibe to it that made it very 'realistic'. Yes, I know it should have, but we all know that erotica can sometimes forget that it has a secondary genre, once the story gets going the author sometimes forgets that there is supposed to be a story behind the s*x. This short read didn't do that and you definitely got the sci-fi feels during the erotic portions. A very well-done erotic, sci-fi short.

It surprised me with the direction it took, and I was happy to see that it did. I felt that the storyline was amazing and different from anything I’d read before.
