4 Fun Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was just a fun clean read.... kylie is every parents dream child and every younger sisters worst nightmare.... after continual badgering from Little Sister for being such a goody goody.... Kylie decides to come up with a list of rebellious acts she wants to commit during her senior year.... topping her list skinny-dipping, but not really....

Kylie was such a real and extremely likable character.... someone you would have loved to be friends with in high school, especially because she brought yummy treats for you to taste test(She wanted to make candy after graduation).... actually more important than that she was just a kind caring person.... Leo fines Kylie‘s list and decides to ask her if he can help her out with it.... because he has had a crush on her forever.... Leo was a good guy... the kind of guy you would absolutely love your daughter to date ....the problem though is Kylie’s not allowed to date....
So Kylie and Leo sneak around and of course get caught, but things are even more complicated than that....

It was interesting how different Kylie and Leo’s parents parenting styles were.... although both sets of parents love their children.... I might have analyzed it a bit and thought what I would have done in the situation... but as I know every child is different and every situation is different and just because something worked for me doesn’t mean it’s going to work for somebody else....

Strongly recommend when you’re just in the mood for a good clean read and if you aren’t a young adult it’s a bit nostalgic....

*** thank you to the publisher and Net Galley for a copy of this book ***

I like Amity Hope's stories. I've read a few now. The rules of rebellion can definitely be read as a standalone. The rules of persuasion is about the main character's sister but it isn't necessary to read it to enjoy this story.

Kylie is feeling a bit left out. Her best friends all have boyfriends and Kylie wants a little more excitement in her life. She always follows the rules and lives on the safe side of the fence. She makes a list of rebellious acts she would like to try but before she can finish it the list goes missing.

Leo has had a crush on Kylie as long as he can remember but doesn't think he's good enough for her to take the risk of losing their friendship. Kylie doesn't have a clue he feels this way. He is in a similar boat with his friends because they all have girlfriends. His family life isn't working out the way he would like. His family are only supportive of the hobbies they want him to do. Leo is a bit of a pushover. He's super nice. Super sweet and cute as a button. He finds Kylie's list and although it will be embarrassing for both of them, he takes a risk and returns it to her. He has a plan to help her reach her goals. This is Leo's shot at getting some one on one time with Kylie.

This is a sweet romance. Kylie pulls all the strings. Leo shows how great he is and the pair gets on really well. This is Kylie's story of getting everything she wants by taking a risk. 4 stars out of 5.

This is a cute little romance with a few deeper themes involving bullying and sexual harassment that gives it some teeth. I found it to be a quick read with likeable main characters. The important messages contained within were bonuses. Recommended for a beach or rainy day read.

This is a high school romance, featuring the girl who is usually oh so good finally rebelling with the help of the boy who has secretly crushed on her for years! Of course, nothing is simple or straightforward for them! Candy maker extraordinaire, Kylie Jenkins is given a wake up call by her younger sister who informs her she is determined not to live a life as boring as Kylie’s. This gets Kylie starting a list of things she wants to do during her last year at High School….. When Leo Zimmerman finds the dropped list and reads it he decides to offer to help her complete the challenges and so give himself a reason to be with the girl he’s crushed on for years. However, events with their siblings could have a seriously detrimental impact on their budding romance and will definitely influence their parents’ attitudes to the couple!

I was very pleasantly surprised by how this story draws the reader in, bringing the characters to life and making it easy to empathise with them in their times of trouble. I particularly appreciated how the main characters face up to their mistakes and are brave enough to admit to them and apologise. When you learn what happened to Kylie’s older sister it is much easier to understand the protective nature of her parents and I was so impressed with Leo’s maturity in decision making, using his talents despite being denigrated by his Dad and how he tries to put things right for everyone. It is a story filled with little rebellions, lots of love and much more trouble! A great read, I have no hesitation in recommending it to teens and adults who appreciate a well written, fast paced high school saga.

I requested and was lucky enough to be given a copy of this novel, via NetGalley, with no obligation. This is my honest review of the book after choosing to read it.

The perfect read to just sit and have fun with a romantic book.

Kylie's parents have been overprotective of her ever since her older sister was bullied thanks to a boy to embarrassed to be associated with her and his family who'd covered for him. But now she's bored while her friends go out with their boyfriends and she wants to challenge herself more. When her dare list ends up in the hands of Leo, who's been secretly crushing on her since forever, things finally start to happen. But they don't always go according to plan.

I'd say this was a 3.5 read because, while the author played safe most of the time, it was never one more YA romance you could say from the start what scenes would happen. Also, I liked a lot how things just belonged. The conflict was so subtly inserted I never saw it coming until it did. And Kylie's parents! I spent most of the story sure of how their reaction would be, but I was honestly surprised. The characters were much more real than the ones I'm used to.

So yes, this is another YA, there's no big no bang to amaze you, but it felt so real it was like reading someone's diary.

One last note, I also loved how the story of Kylie's sister developed. I can't spoil much but there was more than one lesson to learn from it, not just some plot device.

I've loved all the books I've read from Entangled before, and The Rules of Rebellion was no different. In this companion to Amity's previous book, The Rules of Persuasion, we encounter Kylie and Leo, who both need to rebel against their parents, and when Leo discovers Kylie's secret list of ideas of how to rebel, he thinks that by helping her, he could also finally tell her how he feels.

Because of an awful situation that happened to Kylie's oldest sister, her parents are extremely overprotective, and won't let any of the sisters date until they are over 16, and only if their prospective partner has been interrogated thoroughly. Kylie has never really cared about that, not being one to date, but when she learns just how pathetic her younger sister thinks she is, she decides that enough is enough - she's 'finally' going to live. At first, Kylie only planned to do it alone, but when Leo, someone she's quickly becoming friends with, volunteers to help, why not take him up on it? Leo, on the other hand, has had a serious crush on Kylie for years, but never be able to build up the courage to let her know his true feelings. By helping her take control of her life, maybe, just maybe, this is his chance to let her know.

Both Kylie and Leo's characters were wonderful characters. Kylie reminded me so much of myself - someone who was (and is) more at home with a good book, rather than being at parties or whatnot. Learning that she's 'boring' really got to Kylie, and I love how though her character changed throughout the course of the book, it didn't mean she was wholly unrecognisable from who she was at the beginning; rather, she was a better, fuller version of herself. Leo's history comes through in dribs and drabs, and we learn that he is ignored by his overbearing parents, simply because he is interested in different things to them. As both come closer to each other, and reveals parts of themselves, I loved how the relationship never felt rushed, or fake, but it seemed natural.

Obviously, you can't get through a YA contemporary without their being some drama, and I could've seen it coming from a mile off. That being said, the resolution of the 'issue' was done is a reasonable way, and I liked how it still showed Kylie and Leo to be teenagers, who don't always have their heads screwed on right, and simply aren't perfect. I'm looking forward to reading more from Amity in the future, because The Rules of Rebellion was an amazing YA novel, and more people should read this, ASAP!

This book was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Entangled Crush!

The Rules of Rebellion
tells the story of Kylie and Leo. Kylie’s been wanting to be more rebellious since her sister told her she was boring and had no life at all. Leo, on the other hand, is trying to find the courage to ask Kylie out on a date because he’s been crushing on her for a few years. Leo is determined to help Kylie with her rebellious plans and make her fall in love with him.

The Rules of Rebellion is such a good and amazing book! I loved reading The Rules of Rebellion and I couldn’t stop reading. I finished it in one day because I just wanted to read more about Kylie and Leo. They are so cute together, and I just really enjoyed reading The Rules of Rebellion.

The Rules of Rebellion was such a cute read so I cannot wait to read more books written by Amity Hope! Entangled Crush is definitely one of my favourite publishing companies for romance books!

4 stars — This was perfect for what I was looking for — something light (but not completely without depth), cute, and easy.

Kylie was pretty easy to like — a bit of a goody goody, but I can connect with that. I loved her passion for cooking, and I loved how her rebelling brought her out of her shell. I was a bit disappointed in her for some of her reactions at the end, but it felt kind of like teenagers — and it wasn’t like I wasn’t also annoyed with Leo.

Leo was freaking adorable though. I just wanted to hug him so many times. I loved that you could feel his kind soul shining through. And his crush on Kylie? Adorable. Did he make boneheaded decisions? Oh yes. But I still loved him.

I did feel for the situation the two of them were in. There were definitely better ways to handle it along the way, but who among us actually gets it right all the time?

They were seriously cute together though. I could feel their connection, and I kind of liked that Kylie didn’t initially see him that way, but it turned around once her eyes were opened.

All in all, it was exactly what I was looking for, so success!

Last summer Amity Hope's THE RULES OF PERSUASION wiggled its way into my heart. It still brings a smile to my face to think about Meg and Luke's romance- it's just that stinkin' cute. Therefore, when I heard that Amity Hope was releasing not only a new YA romance but a YA romance that was also a companion to THE RULES OF PERSUASION, I was jumping-up-and-down excited.

The result? While THE RULES OF PERSUASION remains my favorite, THE RULES OF REBELLION still is a fantastic follow-up. Heartwarming as well as hopeful, THE RULES OF REBELLION is the perfect feel-good read.

THE RULES OF PERSUASION introduces Leo and Kylie, two high school seniors thrown together after their best friends start dating. Leo and Kylie have both spent the majority of high school being afraid. While Leo's been terrified of asking his long-term crush out, Kylie's been terrified of just living.

Kylie and Leo are not only incredibly likable but also relatable. I think everyone's been in Kylie and Leo's shoes at one point or another, afraid to do something scary, to take that one big jump. It was so incredibly rewarding as well as inspiring to see them let loose and start doing the things that terrified them - parties, skinny dipping, etc. Additionally, they faced their fears in more ways then just the "fun" stuff. They took control of their futures and stood up to their parents. I loved seeing them evolve as the book progressed, and by the end, I couldn't have been happier with where they ended up. I also enjoyed the secondary characters. It was fun to catch-up with the gang, and I loved the scenes were they were together as one big group. The bonfire scene in particular had me laughing out loud!

The plot in this mainly involves Leo and Kylie's romance and to-do list. The one aspect I always love and appreciate about Amity's books is that the romance develops naturally. It never feels forced and the characters always have a surplus of chemistry. I loved seeing Leo and Kylie come tougher, and I also appreciated that everything wasn't always perfect. For instance, sometimes their communication skills left something to be desired, but it was once again one of those moments where I could be like "been there, done that." Additionally, I liked the to-do list. Amity once again worked it naturally into the plot, and I appreciated that some of the items occurred naturally as the book progressed. Last but not least: the twist at the end. While it's not the most unique twist in the world, it was made special by the way in which Amity approached it. I liked the message it brought to the book as well as how it shaped the later portion of the story.

Overall, Amity Hope has done it again! She's provided a lovable, enjoyable story in THE RULES OF REBELLION. So add this (and THE RULES OF PERSUASION) to your TBRs. Trust me, you won't regret it.

Hope is a new to me author since I don’t usually read YA books, but I will be back for more. This was a sweet read with mainly hugs and kisses for the teens involved in the romances, which was nice to see. There was definitely teenage angst for the high school students that had a lot on their plate, wanted to do well in school and always have lasting and supportive friendships. There was typical friction with parents and also some bullying that was unfortunately portrayed very realistically.

The story was told by either Kylie or Leo’s point of view which did get confusing at times if I didn’t remember whose chapter it was. They are the two main characters but their friends and families play supporting roles in the story. Their interactions were believable whether between them or with friends or family and it was interesting to see how their friendship became more. I loved that there was a depth to the characters and how Kylie and Leo confided in each other more than they’ve ever done with anyone else – even their best friends. We learned about their likes and dislikes, their fears and frustrations, their hopes and dreams as well as how they saw each other. I loved Leo’s art and Kylie’s candy making skills. Kylie’s younger sister, Allie, was always looking out for Kylie but many times she was scheming to see what Kylie could do for her as payback. I loved the senior checklist that Kylie made on a dare by her sister and loved when she was able to cross another item off of it. There were laugh out loud moments along with some sadness and hurt too.

There were a few twists to the story. Some I could see coming and others took me by surprise. There was an unexpected twist at the end. There was some closure especially with the epilogue but it left me wanting more since there seems to be more stories to tell especially once they graduate from high school. Allie seems to need her own book too, hint, hint. I hope to read the first book in the series, The Rules of Persuasion, to get more background on the friendships and characters.

Reviewed on my blog, Becky on Books, on 4/3/18.

Rules of Rebellion is a lighthearted and fun contemporary YA. Leo and Kylie are all kinds of adorable together, and the premise of a "list" to help Kylie break out of her "tediously boring" life (her little sister's words, not mine. I'm all in favor of sitting home nights reading fantasy novels) is a fun one.

Ms. Hope did a nice job of showing the fun and peril of dating among a group of friends without going over the top with angsty teenage drama. When Leo's "secret" puts their relationship in peril their friends are sympathetic but don't go overboard with picking sides or the like. Even though I didn't always agree with the parental attitudes here (what is up with Leo's mom's bias against his hobby?) I did appreciate the role that both Leo and Kylie's families played in bringing the two of them back together in the end.

Though I do have to wonder if Leo's big brother Mike will always be the villain he's portrayed as here--surely he's going to grow up at some point and regret his actions in high school...?

The Rules of Rebellion is a sweet romance, with some hand holding, kissing and one freezing cold, almost-but-not-quite skinny dipping scene. It shares some characters with another of Ms. Hope's novels ( The Rules of Persuasion ) but works fine as a standalone.

This was my first book from this author, but definitely not my last!

Rating: 4 stars / B+

I really liked this book. It was exactly what I expected it to be; sweet, romantic and light. I liked the characters, they were interesting to read about, and the romance was really sweet. And I loved the character development that happened through the book. But my favourite thing about it was that even though it was a light and fun read, it also dealt with more serious issues, which I think added depth to the plot and the story overall.

I really liked Kylie and Leo.

Kylie is the classic “good girl”, and lives a pretty unexciting life, but one day, she decides that she wants to try more exciting things. So she writes a list. I actually found Kylie very relatable, and she was fun to read about. And I loved to see how she grew through the book. And Leo is great. He has a lot of pressure from home, but he doesn’t want the things his parents want for him. He also grew a lot through the book, made mistakes but also learned from them, which is the most important thing.

The romance was really sweet.

I have to say I really like Kylie and Leo as a couple. Although it’s a bit cliché, I like characters who become friends before they fall in love. Kylie and Leo know each other really well, but as they grew closer and closer, they learned even more about each other, and saw different sides of each other. And it’s easy to tell that they really just enjoy being around each other. The only problem was that the romantic tension didn’t really feel believable to me.

I loved the way the author dealt with the more serious issues.

Kylie’s older sister was bullied in high school, and it was really bad. Without saying too much, I will say that it has a part in the story. Now, as someone who’s been bullied, this is something I care a lot about, so it’s important for me that it’s portrayed properly in books. And it is. Even though the main character isn’t the one being bullied, it shows just how big the consequences can be, and it shows how serious the issue is. It doesn’t sugar-coat anything.

The writing was great.

It really fit the story, and made the narrative feel relatable and realistic. It really felt like being inside a 17-yearolds head, which really is just what you’re looking for when you pick up a book. The writing was light, and fun, and easy to follow, which fit this book perfectly.

The Rules of Rebellion is a great book, and a definite must-read if you’re looking for a light and fun read. The only reason it didn’t get a higher rating is because it lacked that something extra that made me get really invested, but I still loved reading it. It’s a great romantic read, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet contemporary.

I was pulled into this book from the moment I started it until the very end. It was such a great, quick read that had some pretty endearing characters. Even a couple from the last book made several appearances. But Leo and Kylie stole the show in their own story with their amusing and sweet spirits. I absolutely loved them and they were fun to get to know throughout the book.

If you have read any of Hope’s books you know that she is an amazing author with a heart for YA romance. With each and every book I have read by her, I fall deeper in love with the story, the characters, and her knack for bringing you fully into the story as if you are a part of it all. All her books are well written and beautifully told. This one was no different. I always look forward to her books and what story she is going to tell next. I know I will love it and always do.

The story has this “TEN THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU” vibe going on. Just less angsty. But very swoony. With Kylie’s parents being so strict about their daughters’ dating life, you will understand why I got that vibe. And seeing Kylie go after a little rebellion, makes you think of Julia Stiles' character in the movie. Being a huge fan of the movie, I was loving this book so very much.

Wonderful, light-hearted story that pulls you in, THE RULES OF REBELLION is a must read that is full of sweet romance and fun times. 5 Stars!

The Rules of Rebellion was my first book by Amity Hope and I am pleased to say that I really enjoyed this fast-paced read. This is a sweet and lighthearted young adult contemporary romance that will find a special place in your heart. However, it also touches base on some important topics such as bullying, which is something that is unfortunately very prevalent in the schools.

Leo and Kylie were likable characters and helped set a nice pace for the story. I rather enjoyed the concept of this story and would certainly be interested in reading more of Amity Hope's books in the future. I would suggest this book to those readers who love young adult romance!

The author is an amazing author and I have seen better work than this ( Rules of Persuasion by same author).

I think maybe I expected too much from this book and should have just considered it a simple, YA read.

It started off great, the characters were well developed and their story line was different. However, the climax was more like an anti climax and it fell flat.

I could have finished this book in one day but it was prolonged to three days, because the story became cliche. Its everything you see on T.V ( teenage bullying, which while it is an epidemic I am seeing many books and movies about it with no real action being taken).

With that said, feel free to read. Just don't expect too much.

Super cute and a clean high school romance. The raciest thing was a skinny dipping (almost) scene. Fun and quick to read. Told from alternating POVs which I like as you then get the thoughts of both characters. Loved the ending!

I received The Rules of Rebellion by Amity Hope from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. It does not impact my review.

I liked The Rules of Rebellion much better than the last Crush book I read and most people should know I do like these books. They are usually quick, easy reads for me.

The Rules of Rebellion met my expectations. You don't have to read the other books in this series to know what is going on, but Luke and Meg do appear in this book so if you read this book first you will want to have the first book on hand right away. I liked how this book kind of had similar elements to the first one with the rebellion and the artist, but they weren't exactly the same. Kylie had a bucket list and on her bucket list she wanted to cause some trouble to make her life seem more interesting. Leo was a baseball player, but what he liked to do was to turn stuff into artwork.

I liked Leo very much too.

The romance between the two was believable to me. I liked all of the side characters and I liked how the characters grew in this book. The Rules of Rebellion is a four out of five star read.

This book is all sorts of squealy feel-goods. I love Leo and Kylie. Kylie reminds me a lot of me in high school so I can relate to the "we don't tell you things" part. When she writes her list and Leo finds it, I knew I'd love the book. If you're looking for a high school romance with a little bit of rebellion, check this book out!

Title: The Rules of Rebellion
Author: Amity Hope
Rating: 3.5 - 4 / 5

Thanks to NetGalley and Entangled Publishing, LLC for letting me receive a digital copy of this book before its official release date.
1. Skinny dip (her idea)
2. Stargaze (his idea)
3. Prank someone (her idea)
4. Go on a date (his idea)

Leo Zimmerman has had a crush on his curvy friend Kylie Jenkins since forever, so when he discovers the girl with a flair for candy making has a newfound plan to rebel against her overbearing parents, he’s determined to be the one to help her carry it out. Who better than himself to show her the ropes of letting loose?

Sure, taking her to her first high school party, helping her sneak out of the house, or watching a sunset together isn’t exactly a hardship, but much harder is masking his feelings the more time they spend together. And when he suggests adding “a first date” to Kylie’s plan and she accepts…suddenly all his dreams seem to be coming true.

But Leo’s got a secret that could change everything between them, and it’s only a matter of time before it comes to the surface.

When I first saw this up on NetGalley, I immediately jumped up. Because YES, another book by Amity Hope published via Entangled. I love the publisher's books and I really loved The Rules of Persuasion by Amity Hope, that was released in summer 2017. So I was super excited to read another novel by the author. And I wasn't disappointed one bit.

I fell in love with the main characters the second they were introduced. Leo and Kylie were some super sweet people and I enjoyed reading about their journey. Not sure if I liked them as a couple a bit more than the one we read about in The Rules of Persuasion, but they stole my heart just the same, nevertheless. Of course, the idea of a girl making a list with things she still wants to do in her life (or by the end of senior year) is nothing extraordinary. Many YA books revolve around that and it's also always that one boy helping her, that she falls for in the end. But let me tell you that I still didn't get bored of the storyline and that's because Amity Hope is such a wonderful writer. I admire her style, because even though this is just my second book, I would, without a doubt, pick up any book by her. And if it's a young adult novel, even more so. Favorite genre plus one of my favorite writings styles, oh yes, count me in.

Probably, I'm way into deep here and can't really focus on writing a helpful review. Sorry about that. It may help if I tell you that though the idea of the story itself might not excite you, but the characters will. They aren't shallow, there's some real depth behind their actions, behind what they say. I liked that a lot. There's always a certain lightness to young adult novels, and making it so that the story doesn't get too cheesy is the true art of writing to me.

Kylie's and Leo's personalities just matched each other's. Them as friends made sense. Them as a couple made sense. Sometimes, I struggle with these friends-to-lovers stories, but Kylie and Leo never once made me uncomfortable about the idea of them together. I wanted it to happen. I cheered them on. And then... Talk about a plot twist!

Oh my. That plot twist idea was brilliant. Because almost always, the conflict has something to do with the two main characters themselves. And well, this one has got to do with them, as well, but I think Amity Hope created such a creative conflict here and it made me really happy to see there can be something else than cheating or a secret baby or something like that. And when you get to that plot twist, you will understand both point of views - both decisions. My poor heart.

So you see, I'm a fan of this series. It can be read as a standalone, but you'll want to catch up on the first book, too, believe me. I can't recommend the first one and The Rules of Rebellion enough!

When it comes to books lately, it’s no secret that fantasy is my go-to pick. The magic, the high life-or-death stakes, rebellions and uprisings—it’s the recipe for perfection. That being said, I also enjoy an occasional contemporary young adult romance, because I love reading about love in an everyday situation, complete with the everyday problems. I call it a “candy break,” because sometimes you just need something that is so sweet it hurts.

Contemporary romance opens up a whole new set of tropes that don’t work well in the life-or-death fantasy world, and luckily for me The Rules of Rebellion uses one of my favorites: The List. With this trope, girl makes list, boy finds list, boy offers to help complete list. This, my friend, is a recipe for True Love and I am here for this.

In The Rules of Rebellion, Kylie realizes—with the, erm, gentle persuasion of her younger sister—that she hasn’t really lived the life as a high school student. She’s more likely to make candy than to make trouble. So, she makes a list of all the risky things that she wants to complete before graduation. Enter Leo, who has had a crush on her for years. When he stumbles upon Kylie left behind list, he thinks it’s the perfect time to go after what he’s always wanted.

But would it really be a contemporary young adult novel without some secrets? I think not. If, like Kyleigh, miscommunication or, rather, lack of communication in your books is not your thing (read: makes you yell and throw things…like the book), you may (read: will) want to give this one a pass. But if you’re willing to chalk it up to kids being kids (because, truly, show of hands for everyone in high school who can communicate the hard truths?), this is a cute and fast read to check out.

Overall, I enjoyed The Rules of Rebellion, but it didn’t give me as many feels as I hope for in a romance, particularly a contemporary one. I tend to hold my contemporary YA up to a higher standard of “feels level,” and I expect to feel butterflies or tears, take your pick. But while the story itself was cute and the main characters were enjoyable to read about, it fell short of making a lasting emotional impact for me.

As always, if you’ve read this one yourself, let me know your thoughts!

Received in exchange for a honest review.

what happens when you take the straightlaced girl who gets egged on by her sister and the sweet boy who is overlooked and treated like a disappointment at home and give them a to do list? You get this highly entertaining book by Amity HOpe.

Leo is the sweetest guy. He is kind of stuck thought. His parents have raised 3 before him and are ready to see him off to college. They also find him to be a disappointment and want him more like his jerk of an older brother. He is overlooked by so many but by his friends he is the nice guy. The one there for everyone. He is also the one crushing on Kylie since middle school.

Kylie is the smart girl who doesn’t break the rules. Her older sister had something bad happen to her and since than the parents are a wee bit overprotective. Suddenly her younger sister has gotten under her skin with her taunts and she has created a rebellion list of things to do. She has been crushing on someone that isn’t Leo and Leo sees this and stays in the background.

Now though he sees a chance to show Kylie who he is and to help her gets firsts at the same time.. When he finds her list and becomes her list doer with her.

The time they have together as they do her list is fun and sweet. We see just how nice and adorable Leo is. He is so easygoing. that is until he finds out what happened to Kylie’s sister and than he is scared. he doesn’t want to brushed under the stroke of his brother and doesn’t know if he will be. Kylie keeps him as her secret and it hurts him up to the point where he becomes scared. Once this occurs it seems things change. He is scared and she is wondering what is going on. When it comes out, Kylie does get really really angry and does just what he feared. Poor guy although his sister did warn him. But to me this is when Leo really shined for once he got out of his sad funk he took action and boy did he do great with that. He stood up to his parents and had them see who he really is and even confronted Kylie’s parents. He found his voice and that was great. The ending was precious and overall the book was just sweet and entertaining. The only character you really don’t like is Leo’s older brother and that is because he was a jerk. A fun sweet book.

Kylie makes a high school bucket list after her baby sister tells her she needs a life. Only she loses the list. Leo finds a list written by Kylie, who he has liked forever. This list gives him enough courage to ask her out, kinda. By making her list a reality.

Kylie is the middle child, and her parents are a little on the strict side. Which is why she has never pushed the limits. She loves to bake and makes lots of treats for her friends to try out. She is also feeling a little lonely since her besties all got boyfriends now. This is a common problem in high school and I like how she makes a list to overcome it instead of wallowing in self-pity. She is extremely relatable in not wanting to rock the boat, and being the friendly one in the group. Leo is adorable and his secret is not much of a secret as in it really isn’t his fault. I love his interest in art and his abilities to overcome his parents being well the way he is.

The history between the two families is the secret, although Kylie knew nothing of it. How her parents handle things is interesting and his parent’s reaction was pretty spot on as well. More importantly is how Leo handles everything and his take on the situation. Talk about mature. He truly is a gentleman.

This is a cute read that you can finish in a few short hours. It brings all the feels and leaves you with a smile on your face. The characters and the situations that they are in are extremely likeable. I liked it so much I ended up one clicking the other one in the series.

My Rating 4 out of 5 stars

It is Kylie's senior year and she hasnt exactly done anything exciting thought out high school. When her sister Allie challenges her to become more daring and rebellious, Kylie has no choice but to prove Allie wrong. So she created a list, whether she actually intended to do it or not. But by some fate, her list finds itself in the hands of Leo Zimmerman. Leo has had the biggest crush on Kylie for years. Never finding the guts to tell her, he becomes her friend. But he wants more. And this list is a perfect way for him to get closer to Kylie. He's going to help her complete her list. But with a secret Leo is trying to keep, will things work out how he wants them to? Will Kylie be able to forgive him?

This book is definitely one of my new favorites. It was a short summer read that was really enjoyable. Kylie and Leo were so cute together and were different. Kylie making candy and Leo up-cycling and making some really cool sculptures. Their relationship was great. Leo was sweet and really cared about Kylie. But he lied to her. About the prank and about his brother. While I think the brother thing wasnt that big of a deal, he still lied to her. Kylie started out liking and obsessing some other guy. But when she found out Leo liked her she all of a sudden forgot about the other guy and started kissing Leo. Before that she only thought of Leo as a friend. It seemed like she only started liking Leo because he liked her. Other than that, this book was great. I loved the idea of a list of daring and crazy things to do. It added that adventurous feel. And now Leo has his own list to complete! I'm really hoping we get to see them complete Leo's list together :)

Kylie hasn’t been one to date, with her strict parents and preferring her fantasy novels over a night out, she tends to spend more time at home. Leo has loved Kylie for as long as he can remember and wants nothing more than to have her as his girlfriend. When Kylie’s little sister, Allie, tells her she needs to be more adventurous Kylie makes a checklist for herself. Or at least, she thinks it’s only for herself.

Before I jump into the review, I want to thank Entangled Crush for reaching out to me and inviting me to be a part of the blog tour for The Rules of Rebellion. I was provided with an eARC in exchange for this honest review.

I love the Entangled Teen Crush books. And this one was really good too.

Kylie is a fun and sweet character, she cares about her friends and her family. She is creative and just wants to make the most out of her high school experience.

Leo is adorable and pinning for his good friend. He is a talented artist and loyal friend.

Ugh, Leo. He is so cute. I love him so much. I want to hug him.

I loved Kylie and Leo. Both of them are great characters who develop through out the novel. Their friends are great and both of them have such cool interests. Kylie makes candy and you’ll learn what Leo makes the more you read.

The list the two of them worked on together was so cute and amazing, it gave me ideas for my summer bucket list. I would love to see a follow up book about their summer together.

I loved the family dynamic, how close Kylie and her sister became and how Leo learned to be his own person.

This is perfect fun, end of school year read! If you’re looking for a fun and easy read, I really recommend this one!

Very cute.

I really liked the progression of Leo and Kylie's relationship. It was a bit ambiguous but realistic. I don't think teenagers always feel the need to "define" their relationship.

I felt the dynamic between Leo and Kylie really different. I loved that Leo was not afraid to admit his strong feelings for Kylie and that Kylie was a bit confused and brash about her feelings. I think it was different than most high school relationships.

I really wanted some sort of resolution with Leo and his parents. We saw Kylie's relationship with her parents change but it would have been great to see some progress with Leo's parents, even just his mom. It was great that Kylie stuck up for him but I really wish it got somewhere.

It seemed like Kylie's parents turned around kind of quickly. One minute, Kylie is grounded and then she's allowed to go be alone with him, at his house? I would have loved to read about the dinner or how their relationship progressed in college.

I loved the supporting characters.
I would love to see more of Allie. While she was harsh, she wanted what was best for Kylie. And then she supported Kylie and helped her. I want her to get her own novel and find out what she was doing or who she was meeting.
I enjoyed seeing Meg and Luke again. They were a nice addition but not too much.
I am hoping to get another story with Julia and Adam. They seem like a fun couple and great friends to Leo, Kylie, Luke and Meg.

Very cute story. Different and fun.
