Alexandrea Weis is a relatively new author to me so I wasn't sure what to expect of this book. Well, I have to say that I wasn't disappointed and I loved the book:) The story is intriguing and the writing is superb. I thoroughly enjoyed the plot and I especially liked the Cinderella vibe that I got from the book.

Madison and Hayden are great characters that will make you laugh but they will also make you cry and feel every emotion they are feeling. The chemistry between them is combustible but each one of them has issues to overcome before they can be happy together.

I definitely enjoyed the beginning of the book when Madison was trying to figure out whether Hayden is her Harry. And once they figured it out… they definitely burned the sheets. And in the process, melted my panties. So be warned, there are some seriously HOT scenes in this book. But what else can you expect from a dominant drool worthy male character… YUMMY ;)

From the other characters in the book, I definitely loved Mrs Leder. She cracked me up every single time. Somehow, during the whole time I was imagining her as a slimmer and naughtier version of Betty White. She was just hilarious :)

So, in a few words the book is great and you won’t regret reading it :) I know, I will be definitely checking some other books written by Alexandrea Weis ;)

Book provided in exchange for honest review.

This was my first time reading Alexandrea Weis and I liked what I read. I got a kick out of the friendship between Madison and her roommate Charlie, and their landlady Mrs. Leder is freakin' hilarious!

You get the vibe of chemistry immediately between Madison and Hayden in the elevator, and I liked the whole Madison not being sure if Hayden is who she thinks he might be, and once she realizes it you're like "finally!"

There are certain spots in this book that are predictable (you know immediately the type of woman Hayden is drawn to, even if Madison can't figure that out); but what I wished we could have read about was the resolution between Hayden and his ex. For all of the drama and chaos she caused, we didn't get the actual deets on how everything was resolved. I also would have preferred for the Adam story line to have played out a bit more than it did; that too ended somewhat abruptly.

I will give it to Madison that she stuck to her beliefs and stayed strong right up until the end, she did what she had to do, even though it sucked monkey balls all around. But it was a good ending nonetheless.

That Night With You was a story about a one-night stand that meant more than either participants were willing to accept, but fate will intervene and past and future will collide. I would give this book a 3.5-4 star. I really did like this book just thought it would have been better told in a first person POV rather than third person. I sometimes struggle with third person because the characters switch off so easily and you don't feel like you truly can get into the mind of each character as much if it were in first person. That being said I would recommend this to others as it had a great story line, plenty of mystery and angst oh and some serious steamy scenes. This is the first book I have read by this author and I will continue to read what she puts out in the future.

Madison lives with the memories of an amazing one-night stand with a man she never gave her real name too but she only got his first name. She knows she will never see this man again but he ruined her for other men...not only was he a gentle amazing lover but he took something special from her.. her virginity. She didn't stick around after they fell asleep and she finds herself regretting it for years. She is determined to start her life over and no better way to do that then staring a new career... but when she finds that the big boss who Hayden is her Harry from the amazing one-night stand she had years before. But the only problem she isn't sure that he remembers her...so doubt will set in and she finds herself lusting after him all over again.

Hayden AKA Harry also is haunted by the memories of the woman from his past, he searched everywhere for her and came up empty. He had to move on and when he met someone that looked like her he up and married her but soon finds out that she isn't the woman he wants and he gets divorced. He vows to never give his heart away again. When his associate hires a new architect for his business he soon realizes this woman Madison is the "Mary" from his past.. .the one who stole his heart and shattered it all in one night. He will not give his heart again but he can't help the steam and passion that still surrounds them.. so they come up with an agreement for a sex only relationship no ties.

Will the feelings from the past come to surface? Can Hayden let down the walls he built up and love someone again? Or will it only be that one night for them to forever cherish because there hearts will never mend?

Go pick up this book it is a great story! I hope to see more from this author.

I’m am a big fan of Alexandrea Weis’ writing and I have enjoyed all of the books in her Cover to Covers series. They can all be read as stand alones however you get tid bits of the characters throughout the other stories.

That Night With You had me messaging Alexandrea almost immediately! Madison and Hayden’s past and present collide and set this story on a back and forth up and down ride of lust and passion.

Madison has spent YEARS comparing every boyfriend to her one night stand from college. No one has ever compared in her eyes and she always runs before things move to the next level. I felt sorry for her, she is so hard on herself and feels like she doesn’t deserve a man like him.

When she and Hayden are together things are hot. They have this ease of flirting with one another and he elicits reactions from her sexually that she never knew she could experience.

“Staring into his eyes, she knew in that instant that she would never find another man who made her feel so comfortable with sex.”

Hayden is a successful man, running the family business. I couldn’t quite peg him though. He seems to be jealous if Madison speaks to another man, yet he doesn’t want a public relationship with her. Then we go through a bought of him wanting to tell people and back to him wanting to stick to their “arrangement”.

“You agreed to this, and you’d better start coming to terms with that. Stop expecting me to shout your name from the rooftops like some lovesick poet.”

As much as I loved the sexy and successful man something had me not trusting him all the time, I wasn’t the only one…

“Hayden Parr was starting to feel a lot like someone who was very good at keeping secrets.”

But how can you stay away from someone that makes you feel like this:

“He seemed to drink in every inch of her, and without hesitations she knew what he was thinking. Any woman worth her weight knew that look when she saw it in a man. It was primal; it was instinctual, and utterly carnal.”

I was so back and forth throughout this story. I loved them, I hated them, I wanted them to be together and I also wanted Madison to just walk away. You will surely feel the same range of emotions when you read! Well done Ms. Weis ;)

Have you ever had a one night stand? Was it an accident or the goal of the night?
Good girl Madison Barnett is a college student with a secret; she’s a virgin. All of her friends are sexually active so the topic of conversation on girl’s night is always sex. Madison succumbs to peer- pressure and decides to have a one night stand. Using the name Mary, Madison meets Harry, a man at a bar and sleeps with him. Not wanting to deal with the awkwardness of the morning after, Madison leaves before he awakens. When she was leaving she knew she would never forget this night but she also knew it had meant nothing to Harry.
Now five years later, Madison has finished college and has become an architect. She lands a job with the prestigious firm of Parr & Associates. Little does she know that the owner, Hayden Parr, is her Harry.
Madison feels completely doomed, how can this be happening, although what are the odds he will even remember her?
Author Alexandrea Weis has done an exceptional job developing these characters. They’re both so flawed but still so lovable. Their relationship is a simple one and yet sometimes it’s deeply complicated. If you enjoy a good sizzling page turner, this is a must read for you.

If you were going to have a one-night-stand would you give him your real name? Me neither! He can call me anything he wants... just don't want him coming back to stalk me right? What if that one-night-stand ended up being THE NIGHT to end all nights? On top of that, you gave him your virginity? Would you run out before the morning after and the shameful conversations, etc.?

Well, this is the start of the plot line for this novel. One fateful night, and our heroine Madison finds herself dreaming about this guy. He was so gentle and caring with her, he really spoiled her for anyone else. She has dated two other guys in five years since that night and no one can compare.

I read this book today and could not put it down. I am so lucky to be able to read books by such gifted authors! I am a fan of Alexandrea Weis' work. She is a gifted storyteller. I loved Madison and all her insecurities, but what really got to me was her strength of character. She grows and matures and comes into her own as an independent and assertive woman.

As far a Hayden is concerned...OMG! He is a heartthrob! You need to read what impact that one night with Madison had on him. As they are thrown together five years after, the tension and chemistry between these two will have you panting. No need to bring the handcuffs... we already have a pair!

Madison meets Harry at a bar one night while she is in college. They have one night together, one night that changes Madison forever. Little does she know that it also charged Harry as well. She would have known this had she stayed the night instead she sneaks out never to see him again.

Madison is all grown up now and is starting a new job, one she doesn't really want to have to take but it is a job in her field so she takes it with a smile. Her boss though is enough to knock her off balance. He surprises her at every turn almost like he knows her but that just isn't possible Madison thinks!

Hayden Parr is her boss and is he just WOW! He oozes strong, sexy and confident. He has his eye set on Madison too. Hayden has he own set of secrets though. He knows who Madison is. The question is what will she do when she realizes this? Can Madison handle the arrangement that Hayden offers her? Can she look past his crazy ex wife? Or will it all be to much!

This was a good book. I would recommend it to others.

Loved it! Was a wonderful book to read. Of course what a crazy thing to happen, to reconnect with a one night stand from years ago, but now he's your boss. But Madison and Harry have so much more going on besides rekindling their hot sex. So much more to this story then what's on the surface. Another must read!

recensione "a cura del blog Libri magnetici" by Meghan

Tre petali e mezzo.

Complimentary copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review

I have been a massive fan of Miss Weis for close to a year now, and I love how she always manages to make me laugh and swoon with her romance novels. This author has a very down-to-earth way of telling her stories and she has a certain knack of creating strong, believable characters who you wish you could sit down to have dinner with sometimes. So yes, I always recommend her books to lovers of romance, and “That Night With You” is just as enjoyable as the other novels written by Miss Weis.

I will not go into that many details about the actual storyline of this novel, because the synopsis tells you a lot already, and I will do my best to not give you any spoilers, either.

Have you ever had a romantic or sexual encounter that you think back on years later from time to time? Do you sometimes wish that things had turned out differently? I believe that we all have regrets in life, and Madison Barnett is no different: when she was a 19-year-old student, she made a very un-romantic decision: having a one-night-stand in order to get rid of her virginity. I know, it is a bit shocking, BUT so very realistic – at least to me. On this fateful night, she meets a man, Harry, and, unbeknownst to him, he manages to make such an impression on Madison that no man since Harry manages to make her fall in love.

When Madison is hired to work at a very prestigious architect firm Parr & Associates, she is shocked to find that her boss, Hayden Parr, reminds her so much about her one-night-stand, Harry. What is Madison to do now? Wait and see if Hayden brings up the past himself? Or confront him and risk making a complete fool of herself?

Well, if you want the answers to these questions, you will have to read the book. *wink*

I might as well confess right away that I am harboring a massive girl crush on Madison! Yes, there is such a thing as a girl crush, dear readers. Madison is sweet, ambitious, strong-willed, yet also rather shy when it comes to the opposite sex. In the beginning, she has some self-esteem issues, but I really like how she, through her encounters with Hayden, grows into becoming a very mature, feisty woman who goes after the things she wants. There were times, while reading her story, when I felt completely crushed on her behalf, and I just wanted to give her a hug – so yes, I like Madison very well indeed.

As for Hayden: he is the perfect match to Madison in many ways. He has been hurt in the past, thus preventing him from putting his trust in other people, and I really like his honesty and him being upfront about his intentions with Madison. He is quick-witted, a clever businessman, but, more importantly, the fact that he searched high and low for Madison after their one-night-stand so many years ago completely melted my heart. It speaks of a very strong character. This does not, however, mean that I did not find him to be a bit of an idiot sometimes – because I did – and I was actually very unsure about how this book would end until I read the epilogue. So I applaud the author for keeping me in the dark until the very last page.

But I can already hear your question: Why not give the book 5 stars, then? Well…In all honesty, my reasoning for this is Hayden: although he possesses many positive character traits, he confuses me a lot. What I mean to say is that he can be hot one minute, then cold, and he acts like a boyfriend even when he makes it quite clear to Madison that he is not after a real relationship. I never felt completely satisfied with his reasoning, I suppose, because the things he said did not always match his actions . Call me crazy, but I have to be honest here: A man who changes his mind a lot about what he wants can be a bit of a turn-off for me. Nevertheless, I do think that Hayden redeems himself in the end, and this book is definitely one of my favorites of 2014.

As always, I am in love with the storytelling skills that Miss Weis possesses: you will find that there is plenty of wit, laughter, romance, as well as a cast of quirky, funny secondary characters in her books. But Miss Weis is trying something a little bit different this time, and that concerns the sex scenes: because they…are…hot! I mean, hot-as-sin hot! Most definitely guaranteed to make your panties combust! So keep the fan ready, my friends: you are going to need it.

There are always some serious issues being dealt with in this author’s books, and it is the same with “That Night With You”. To me, the love story of Madison & Hayden is about trust – trust in other people, but most definitely also about trusting in yourself; you can overcome past issues if you let go, overcome your fears, and, lastly, allow your heart to feel again. Nothing is more important in life than love.

Assolutamente consigliato

** JOSIE'S 4 STAR REVIEW **

I really enjoyed this story and the premise behind it. Who does not remember their first time? The author does as wonderful job in writing this novel. I was intrigued and there were no dull moments in this story. She writes in a way that you can feel just how much of an impact that one night meant to Harry and Madison. You feel their connection and how it changed their future for years to come. Yes it was just one night but this story was not only about sex. It was more profound and intense. We get angst, heart break, passion, desire and a crazy ex.

Madison is a great character. She made a decision one night in college to lose her virginity, but she did not choose just anybody that night at the club. She chose a man who was refined, caring, and held an air of dominance. That night changed her in so many ways that she has yet to meet a man that holds up to Harry. I really loved her character. She was true to herself and her feelings and strong when she needed to be. On her first day at work at her new job she meets her boss Hayden Harry Par. She recognizes her boss as the man who gave her so much from that night. She is left feeling disappointed when he gives no indication that he remembers her.

Hayden Harry Par has taken over his father’s architect firm, going through a nasty divorce and only does arrangements on side to deal with his needs for dominance and control. He has a thing for brunettes with brown eyes. He has never gotten over the young woman he spent that night with. The innocent young woman that made him want more. He has never been able to find someone that made him feel the way she made him feel until that morning he saw her walk into Par and Associates. He remembers her as Mary and his feeling for her are raw, intense and strong. He has to keep his business and personal life separate. Thought he could stay away from her but he can’t.

“Really, Madison? Him?”

“It’s just a drink.”

“I’ll make sure of that.”

“How did you get a cab so quickly?”

“I called one the moment I saw you two walk in here.”

“You planned this! You got him drunk intentionally to what humiliate him?”

“I did it to get him away from you.”

I absolutely love the chemistry between Harry and Madison. They don’t want to hurt their careers but they can’t stay away from each other. Madison wants it all. Harry does not communicate his feelings openly, he is afraid of losing Madison, so he communicates through sex. The problem is Madison needs to hear the words. She needs him to show her he wants something more with her and not just an arrangement. Harry does not want to loss Madison but he is afraid and does not want to give his ex-wife ammunition to destroy him. Will Harry’s unwillingness to show Madison she means more to him than an arrangement cause Madison to walk away? Will Madison stay in a relationship with Harry and be satisfied with just being his arrangement? Is Madison strong enough to know she deserves more from the man that stole her heart years ago, or will she stay?

“Like silk, get on the bed. You are exquisite. On your back. Spread your legs apart and close your eyes.”

“Tell me you want me to f*** you.”

“F*** me, Hayden. F*** me hard.”

Received ARC for an honest review.

This is the first book I’ve read by Alexandrea Weis and I must admit that her books are now on my TBR list.

That Night With You is a novella by The story is a beautiful romance with all the elements that I look for when I need a good romance read.

I’ll start with the characters.

Madison is the perfect heroine for me. She is smart, strong and willing to fight for what she wants be it a job, a love interest or a friend. Madison doesn’t have much success in the relationship department—not because men aren’t interested, they are, it is because she is still in love with an old one night stand.

Hayden Parr AKA Harry is hot, successful, confident and compares women he meets to someone he knew years ago. Harry is Madison’s old one night stand and now he is her boss.

Charlie and Lizzie are the two best girl friends who are there through thick and thin. Like all best friends they can be irritating sometimes but they only want the best for one another.

Mrs. Leder is one of the best support characters I’ve read in a book lately. She is the land lady and neighbor of Madison and Charlie. She is protective (brings food and shares her wardrobe) of Madison and Charlie. Mrs. Leder is a hoot and makes me laugh. She shares stories of her promiscuous past and still loves her late husband. She is a romantic and wants her two young tenants to have the same love she had.

Adam is the sleaze ball coworker. He thinks he is god’s gift to women. Add to that he thinks his ideas are better than anyone else at work even though his has very little experience. I’ve worked with men like Adam in my past. Know-it-all’s who won’t take advice from anyone.

Ellen Parr the vindictive, hateful, social climbing ex-wife who thinks she deserves all her ex’s possessions and does everything in her power to keep him from finding happiness.

Next the story:

I love the way Ms. Weis weaves the characters into a modern day romance. The characters are well developed and realistic. I totally dropped myself into the events and I can see every scene play out in my mind’s eye. I felt anger, hope, love, and anxiety with the characters as the events in the story are revealed. Don’t get me wrong I felt myself needing to shake Hayden and yell at him “What are you doing?” but it was appropriate at the time. I understand Hayden’s caution and I understand Madison’s trepidation.

Put all these elements together the way Ms. Weis does and you have a beautiful story that is must read. I love it. I can’t think of anything negative to say except that I want more. The book is too short; I would love to read more about this couple. Take my advice and get this book the next time you need to read a great story you won’t be disappointed.

~~~~
REVIEW: 4.25--THAT NIGHT WITH YOU is the fourth installment in Alexandrea Weis’s adult, contemporary erotic Cover to Covers romance series. This is architects Hayden Parr and Madison Barnett’s storyline. Each book in the series can be read as a stand alone as the storylines are not connected but tie in to one another through the first book in the series-Cover to Covers.
Five years earlier Madison Barnett, as a nineteen year old virgin, had a one night stand with a man she met at a bar. ‘Harry’ as he called himself was Madison’s first sexual experience and the man by whom she judged all other relationships. As she is about to embark on her new career in the prestigious architecture firm of Parr and Associates, Madison cannot help but notice the similarities between the man of her dreams and the man who is now her boss.
THAT NIGHT WITH YOU is a second chance storyline about two people who fell in love with a one-night stand. While Madison ran Hayden searched for the woman he knew only as Mary. Five years is a long time to hold onto a memory but both Madison and Hayden believed they had found the ‘one’.
The colorful secondary characters include Madison’s friends and co-workers, Hayden’s business partner, and an ex-wife who makes Hayden’s life a living h*ll. There is always someone waiting and watching every move that Hayden makes.
Alexandrea Weis’s contemporary, adult series of erotic, romance storylines is addicting and captivating. These are the stories of second chances; friends to lovers; finding your soul mate and never letting go. There are moments of intimacy and intense dissolution through heartbreak and betrayal but in the end everyone will get his or her happily ever after.
Well, this is the first book by Alexandrea Weis that I have read, and I really enjoyed the story. That Night With You is a sweet romantic story of a young woman trying to put an unforgettable past night behind her and start a new career in a new architecture firm. I loved Madison's character. She's a talented and determined your woman aiming to reach her goal as a successful architect. But, behind all that, she hides her doubts and insecurities thinking that she's not good enough. As for Hayden Parr, his strong confidence and controlled demeanor was all too apparent, but yet, behind all that he's just as scared like everyone else when it comes to expressing his feelings.
Alexandrea Weis impressively wrote multi-dimensional characters that gave varying layers to their personalities. This story is definitely a contemporary romance in today's society where careers and relationships require careful handling, especially in the workplace. Sometimes, mixing your personal life and professional life together can get messy and confusing. And...finding out how to maneuver both can get overwhelming; that's what Alexandrea Weis successfully told in this story.
Told in the third person point of view, having a narrator tell the story, gave me the feel of watching Madison and Hayden go through their "romance" without "taking sides." I thought it added to the romantic feel of their story...like telling a fairy tale story to a child. However, this is no fairy tale for children. I'd say it's more a fairy tale for adults...haha! The intimacy between Madison and Hayden was definitely sexy and intense, yet it has the romantic element. What's a romance without the "break up" to give that intense need to figure out if it's really love? Well, Alexandrea Weis wrote it well in this story...from the beginning to the end.
That Night with You is a romantic story of lust, love and conquering fears and insecurities. It may even seem close to real life for some people with the struggle of finding love, overcoming doubts, and learning to trust. Although short, I got the full emotion of the story with the well developed characters that this amazing author created.
Alexandrea Weis if fast becoming one of my favorite authors. She spins a story that draws readers in and keeps them guessing. That Night With You begins a little slower than previous books I have read, but the build up is definitely worth it. Ms. Weis know how to develop characters and give them depth. Her writing is descriptive and concise and her plots often redirect the reader. That Night With You is no exception. The question for the reader is, can one night with a stranger truly change your life?
Madison is a smart newly graduated architect, looking to leave the past behind. Her relationship status is nonexistent, so she is hoping that a new job will mean a new start. Every man she has met in the last five years has been lacking. They never measure up to a man she spent one night with in college, Harry. What happened that night with Harris is the standard she uses to sabotage any possible relationship. She has spend five long years trying to find a man like Harry, or Harry himself. In her mind Harry is the perfect man and lover. He took her virginity and introduced her to passion she never knew existed. Imagine her surprise to find her new boss is the elusive Harry.
Harris is really Hayden Parr, the head of the architectural firm that hired Madison. From their first encounter in the elevator on her first day, the attraction sizzles. The question burning through Madison's mind is whether or not Hayden remembers their night together. Hayden is a strong, confident, passionate man. Trying to keep their relationship professional is a challenge that neither party is up for. Hayden releases the passion that Madison never realized she could embrace. The scenes between the couple are filled with sexual tension and later on, hot, steamy sex.
There is a wide variety of characters in the book. While Hayden and Madison are a passionate couple, a couple of the minor characters steal their scenes in the book. Mrs. Leder will always be a favorite of mine. The woman has a wealth of sexual experience and is more than willing to share it and her handcuffs with Madison. Hayden's ex wife is a grade A bitch. The couple that Madison designs a home for are interesting and quirky. Madison and Hayden are likable characters and they create a dynamic couple. If you have read a book by Alexandrea Weis you won't be disappointed, if you haven't this book is a good start.
That Night With You by Alexandrea Weis is a story of a one-night stand that stays with Madison for years, making it difficult for any other man to live up to the memories that Harry had given her of one of the most influential nights of her life, the night that she lost her virginity. Often listening to the song that was playing while Harry consumed her mind and body, she finds comfort in the memories that she holds close to her heart. Taking a job at a renowned architect firm after graduating from college; she is comes face to face with the man that has haunted her thoughts and dreams for years, Hayden Parr her boss.
Upon realizing that the Harry that has haunted her all these years is the same man as her breathtakingly hot boss, she wonders if he remembers her and if he thinks on that one night with the fondness that she does. When she discovers that he looked for her after she left him in the middle of the night, all of the feelings that she believed she was crazy to have for a one night stand burst to the surface making it difficult for her to concentrate on her job. Deciding to enter into an arrangement with Hayden that he wants to keep discreet due to his ongoing court issues with his ex-wife, Madison thinks she can handle everything that he is asking, until she can't anymore.
Madison never intended to fall in love with Hayden, especially when he shows no signs of sharing the same feelings toward her. Constantly telling her that he cares and telling her that he will show her through giving her pleasure, Madison tries to accept that this is enough, that she can accept only what he is willing to give her. Unfortunately after spending time with Hayden in his home and in his bed, she begins to want things that a normal couple have, things he isn't willing to give her. Giving him an ultimatium that she needs to hear the words not just have him show her; she walks away when he is unable to give her what she desperately desires.
Will Hayden be able to let down the walls he has surrounding his emotions after being hurt by his ex-wife and let Madison fully into his heart or will he lose her forever? Will Madison be able to let go of the hurt that Hayden has caused her and love him in spite of it? You will have to read this 3.5 star book to find out! I promise you will fall in love with Hayden just as Madison did!
Madison Barnett spent one night five years ago with a total stranger who she lost her virginity to and no man has yet measured up to him. She gave him a fake name, didn’t tell him that she was a virgin, and slipped out before he woke up the next morning.
Five years later, their lives collide when she sees a man who reminds her of her one night lover in the elevator of the building to her new job. Hayden Parr turns out to not only be ‘her Harry’, but also her new boss. What she doesn’t know is if he remembers her or not? The tension and chemistry between these two is palpable.
Madison agrees to have a discreet arrangement with Hayden against her better judgment. All she knows is that she wants more of him. Both of these characters to have a hard time opening up and telling each other how they feel. When Madison starts their relationship she doesn’t have much self-confidence in herself and her relationships with men, but after Hayden teaches her about her sexuality she comes into herself, finally realizes she deserves to have good man in her life, and knows what she wants. Unfortunately, that might be never having Hayden again.
This was my first book that I've read of Alexandrea Weiss and I read it in under a day. I couldn’t put it down. There’s nothing that I love more than being sucked into a book and not being able to put it down and when you have to you can’t stop thinking about the story and when you’re going to get back to reading it. Alexandrea gives great descriptions of the world around Hayden and Madison especially the architectural parts of the story. If you are good at visualizing what you read then I think you will love the picture she paints throughout this whole story. Unfortunately, unless I know exactly what's being described I can never create the image in my head.
I have to say that I thought this story should have had a sequel or maybe even a trilogy. I was sad to see the end of Madison and Hayden when they had really only just got started.
That Night with You is the fourth book in the Cover to Covers romance series but can be read as a stand alone. This story focuses on Madison. When she was nineteen she lost her virginity to a stranger she met at a bar.
The man she knew only as Harry and set the standard she would judge all her relationships by. What will happen when her new boss, Hayden Harry Par, realizes that Madison is Mary?
This is a great book about second chances for a couple who fell in love from their one night stand. This story has it all; angst, romance, heartbreak, passion and great sexual chemistry. The chemistry between Hayden and Madison is strong and undeniable. They can't seem to stay away from each other despite the fact that they work together. Neither one wants to jeopardize their career or give his crazy ex-wife any ammunition to bring him down. Can Hayden open up and say what Madison needs to hear to take their relationship to the next level or will she have to settle for his arrangement?
I loved the characters, not only Madison and Hayden but the supporting characters as well. Madison's group of friends and co-workers were lively and colorful. Hayden's ex was crazy and added a lot of drama. Madison was a great character, I was amazed at the thought she put into choosing the man for her one night stand. She knew what she wanted and she went after it. I loved that Madison was always true to herself. Hayden is sexy and controlling. Since his nasty divorce he has only had arrangements to fulfill his need for dominance and control.
This was the first book I have read by this author. Her writing style flows well making this a quick and fun read. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a second chance love story. I look forward to reading more from Ms Weis.
Have you ever had your past come back to some what haunt you? Well, this is one of those stories that will make you wonder what you may have or did do on those nights when you were young and doing things that you may not should have.
I liked how Alexandrea Weis gives us the insight into what and why Madison has done the things she has while in college even if it didn't make sense. The way that her friends support her especially Charlie is amazing. I will say that in the beginning of the book I do not like the way that Hayden's character is portrayed, but as the book continues I can understand why he is the seemingly jerk that he really is not. The thing is, is that he is shocked and surprised to see Madison enter back through is doors for say.
The way that the characters of the book meet, then meet again allows you to say yes fairy tales can come true, or there is a light at the end of the rainbow. I also loved how Madison always has someone giving her some sort of so called advice and which it always finds away to give us one of those moments where you just have to set there and laugh. Mrs. Leder is probably the funniest part of this book.. Who says you can't live after 70, or is it that 70 is the new 50. Well either way she will go OMG she did just say or do that. Throw Charlie in the mix with her and poor Madison can't help but to question herself.
I hope you get the enjoyment out of this story like I did. I found myself so involved in reading it that when I got to the end I was like no I want some more. This can't be the ending. It is just one of those books like a good romantic comedy that pulls you in, kinda like the movie you got mail.
That Night With You was the first book that I read by Alexandrea Weis and I was pleasantly surprised by the strong characters. I love how this book made me feel. Harry is strong and assertive and that was so sexy!!!
Madison had one night with a man that she can't seem to get over. No man since has seemed to compare, and she wonders if she will ever find anyone who will make her feel that way again. Madison starts a new job and in the elevator she sees a man that reminds her of someone and she is drawn to. The man in the elevator makes her feel things she hasn't felt since that one night years ago.
Madison soon meets that man from the elevator again and finds out he is her new boss Hayden Parr. He is kind and charming, and seems so familiar. The feelings he is enlisting in her she knows she shouldn't be feeling for her boss, and keeps telling herself to stop. Soon it becomes clear to Madison that Hayden and her Harry that she had been with all those years ago are one and the same.
Does Harry remember Madison? Was that as memorable for him as it was for her? Has so much time gone by that the door for a future for the two of them is closed for good?
I really loved this book, I just have to say I loved Harry so much and I want into his head! I want to know what that man was thinking and I want his POV now!!!
While in college Madison spent a passionate night with a man who she gave her virginity to and unexpectedly lost her heart to as well. She left in the middle of the night as he slept, but never forgot this man who all men after would be compared to from that moment on.
Imagine her surprise when upon graduation and starting a new job, she discovers that her Harry is actually her new boss. When both admit that they remember each other but not what that night meant to each other, they begin an arrangement becoming lovers. It is only when Madison finds herself and that strength and confidence that she decides that she wants more from him than an arrangement. Now Harry will have to figure out if that is what he wants too.
I loved watching Madison come into her own from the beginning of the story to the end. Her bestie and eccentric neighbor were supportive and added some definite humor in the story. Harry is a deliciously hot naughty talking bossy man. I wanted to give him a shake or two, but still rooted for him to be Madison's happily ever after.
I give That Night With You 4 hearts!
Madison Barnett spent one night with a stranger that changed her life forever. Even though she had a one night stand she never forgot him. The surprise was on her when she learned her one night stand was her boss at her new job.
Once they get beyond that they set the sheets on fire. This is one sexy steamy read. That aside Madison and Hayden are great characters that make you laugh and swoon. Madison's landlady Mrs. Leder was a riot. She will have you laughing so hard throughout this book. Not only do Madison and Hayden deal with their relationship they deal with his divorce and Madison learning to step out of her comfort zone.
Another great book by Alexandrea Weis. For a romantic, steamy, sexy, and funny read pick this one up.
Memorable
This was a great story, who ever thought that a one night stand would turn out to be the love of your life years later. Madison spent one night with Hayden (Harry) while attending school and never forgot about it. Harry also never forgot and searched high and low but never found her until a chance meeting in the elevator with Madison coming to work for him. The chemistry was undeniable and they decide to sleep together until Madison realizes that she deserves more that what Hayden is offering her. It takes him losing what he always wanted to realize that he's a better man with her by his side. There's a excellent cast of characters that you will fall in love with (Mrs. Leder and Garrett) and a storyline that just grabs you and doesn't let go until the end. I'm ready for the next installment and you will be too.
I absolutely loved the characters in this book, especially Mrs. Leder, the interfering old land lady. I think I would be mortified if I actually had a landlady like her though. Madison is smart and a gifted architect. Hayden is a bit harder to pin down. At times he seems like a real sleezeball, but at others he seems like a really great guy...so you know he's like a guy.
This book had me hooked from page one, hoping that Madison would get her sexy stranger in spite of the obstacles. And the sex scenes were sizzling. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone that enjoys racy office romances.
Madison is a sensible girl, always responsible, but one night she decided she had enough and she goes out in search of fun..that was the night she lost her virginity, to a man so hot, gentle and caring..that night stayed with her for the next 5 years.
Madison starts a new job and there she comes face to face with thw man that haunted her dreams..what is the right thing to do? Remind him of who she is? forget about it all and go on with her life?
How does Hayden feel about this? This man is real good at hiding emotions, his past and his mistakes made him wary. Will he be able to overcome his fears and give it a chance?
A really good book, great characters and steamy too!
Have you ever wondered if one choice you made at 19 could dictate your whole life? This story is about making a choice in college that forever changed the future. This is the Fourth book in the Cover to Covers Series. I’m am a big fan of Alexandrea Weis’ writing and I have enjoyed all of the books in her Cover to Covers series. They can all be read as stand alones however you get tid bits of the characters throughout the other stories. That Night With You was a story about a one-night stand that meant more than either participants were willing to accept, but fate will intervene and past and future will collide.
I loved this book! It was sexy, and gives you that tingle but it's also a beautiful story! I could not put it down! Had to know what was going to happen. I love the emotions you get from the characters. If their heart breaks and yours skips a beat breaking for them.... it's amazing I love to feel the book I'm reading! This book has everything I personally need from a book. I lost myself reading, I was eager to know what was going to happen, my heart broke and became whole again. I could feel the authors passion! Love this book!!!
This is my favourite of this authors books that I've read so far. This was a really brilliant and gripping read. I ended up reading this in one afternoon as I couldn't put it down.
Hayden and Madison are fantastic characters. The chemistry between them is so hot-it's electrifying.
I loved the storyline. This author has a superb way of writing that you could easily become addicted to. Great secondary characters added even more brilliance to the story.
Loved it.
