I truly believe this was a confessional book. I believe he wrote this and actually did these things and somehow no one caught him. Glad his son was caught.
I will just say that this book is simply a form of art. Very graphic, almost to the point of nauseating... But again, the author's art form. Think Robert Mapplethorpe writing a hardcore book with his photographs.
This book piqued my interest in this author and I went down the rabbit hole. Interesting person but just not my kind of thing. I applaud anyone for expressing themselves however they view creativity.
Despite what's going on in the news about this man, I went into this with an open mind. This book wasn't as disturbing as I thought it would be. The main character in the story goes around trying to save these women from destroying their lives via extensive drug use and prostitution. Unfortunately none of these women are interested in saving themselves except for the character of Mouse later on in the story. Yes he had sex with these women and took photographs but it was always consensual. The ending I believe he did what he felt was right regardless of the fact it dealt with taking the woman's life..in a way he saved her from herself and the pain she was causing her body & mind. He tried to save her multiple times from her lifestyle prior but in the end realized the only way to save her was to have death come for her quicker. You can view this I guess as playing God or Kevorkian but a decision was made & I felt it to be the right thing to do.

This was disgusting. It wasn't even about an empathetic killer. This book was entirely about sex. Graphic, not sexy, demeaning, abusive sex and drugs. Definitely skip it. And it's not even a full book... It's a preview. If I could give it no stars or negative stars I absolutely would.
