This book was binge-worthy from start to finish. I absolutely ate this up.
If you love: — Billionaire romance — Romantic suspense — “Touch her and die” vibes — A broken heroine finding her strength again — A morally grey, alpha tech god — Criminal Minds references 👀
…then this one is 100% for you.
Our FMC? Obsessed. Her sass, her wit, her growth — everything. And the side characters brought just the right amount of humor to balance the tension.
And Max… 🫠 Brooding, tall, dark, and those Clark Kent glasses?? Say less.
The only thing that pulled me out slightly was the writing style — a lot of thoughts and sentences were broken into mini paragraphs, so it read a bit choppy at times. But honestly? It didn’t take away from the story itself.
Still incredible. Still gripping. Still worth every page.
Chef’s kiss. 👏
Thank you so much for the ARC — I loved every bit of this. 💕
I received this book as an ARC read from Hambrite PR and LM Fox and this is my honest opinion of the book/Review of the book: Mr. Wilde. I encourage the reader to of course read the book for themselves and draw their own conclusions and opinions on the matter. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and I do hope you do as well!
I thought that Mr. Wilde was well written, it had an element of mystery surrounding the pasts of both main characters and it depicts though in minor range as to opposed to how broadly the author could have gone the struggles of surviving what happened and sometimes the daily struggle to trust yourself, those around you and how to go on living after such traumas again on both main characters parts. I thought that it was enjoyable to read and though over 400 pages it's indeed a quick read and makes you want to learn about the other Billionaire men in the club mentioned. However I wouldn't mind delving further into Max and seeing if he and Cassidy can solve his remaining mystery that I think would go hand in hand with their chosen careers and showcasing how well they work together as a team and as a couple. I will say the very few negatives I had did not deter me from continuing to read and in no way make me love the book any less...I feel that the insta attraction was infact a bit fast especially considering how Cassidy currently lives and her expressing that his mere presence makes her feel safe didn't feel right when reading the rest of the book, I also believe that Cass' switch up near the end and her attitude towards Max was a bit unnecessary...just because she shared her trauma and past doesn't mean he has to share his and then to react as she did and the words she said turned me off of her character for a few pages admittedly. In the end she is still a decent fmc and I would definitely recommend this book to others even as just a standalone.
LM Fox, for me, is one of those authors that I would read anything she writes..even her grocery list. And Mr. Wilde is exactly one of the reasons why. This book had me hooked from the very first page.
Max Wilde is everything that I love in a morally gray anti-hero. He’s brilliant, ruthless, and operating in the shadows with a vigilante edge that makes him a bit terrifying and at the same time is absolutely irresistible. Beneath the billion dollar empire and being a hacker genius, he is a man driven by pain and vengeance, convinced love is a weakness that he can’t afford. And honestly? Watching him fall anyway was EVERYTHING.
Cassidy is just as compelling. She’s been through hell and fought her way back even stronger. Her resilience shines, and the way she challenges Mr. Wilde… she refuses to be controlled, and still manages to break through his walls? Pure perfection.
Their chemistry is intense, electric, and full of that “touch her and you’re done for” energy that had me hooked. The push and pull between them, the constant danger lurking, and the emotional depth woven through it all made this so much more than just a romance.
And the suspense? Top tier. The cybertech world, the secrets, the constant sense that everything could unravel at any second—it kept my heart racing the entire time. Add in the Criminal Minds vibes, and I was completely sold.
Mr. Wilde is dark, addictive, and impossible to put down. If you love billionaire romance with a dark edge, a fiercely protective anti-hero, and a heroine who rises from the ashes, then you need to run and read it now!
Huge thank you to @authorlmfox & @hambright_pr for this ARC! ❤️
I have really enjoyed diving into The Billionaire Boys Club Series & Mr. Wilde was really a good read.
This book blends billionaire romance with romantic suspense, giving us a story full of tension, danger, and just the right amount of emotional depth. Max is the ultimate morally gray antihero. He is an alpha cybertech genius with secrets for days, and I was enjoying him from the start.
And Cassidy? I adored her. Watching her grow from a broken place into someone strong and resilient made her such a compelling heroine.
The chemistry between these two was intense, layered with “touch her and ☠️” vibes that kept me entertained page after page. Add in the suspense, the secrets, and those fun Criminal Minds references, and it made for such a good read.
What I loved most is how this story balances the darker elements with a truly satisfying HEA. It’s emotional, gripping, and full of heart.
If you’re into protective antiheroes, strong heroines, and high-stakes romance with a suspenseful edge, this one is a must-read.
Max and Cassidy both have many secrets they are hiding. Neither wanted a relationship. The chemistry they have from the second they laid eyes on each other is undeniable. Both of them had to learn to trust themselves and each other. It took a bit but they finally gave in to their feelings. Highly recommend and can't wait for the next one.
Slow burn but best type. This was worth the wait for the character. LM Fox always my favorite cause she has so many her past characters in her books and it’s flawless.
Mr. Wilde from The Billionaire Boys Club Series was an absolute standout read for me and has officially made me obsessed with this series. Each book somehow gets better, and I can now confidently say that Max and Cassidy may just be my favorite couple yet. Their story blends billionaire romance with romantic suspense beautifully, delivering a tension‑filled, emotional journey that kept me completely hooked from start to finish.
Max is the ultimate morally gray antihero, a brilliant alpha cybertech genius with a vigilante edge and more secrets than he knows what to do with. Beneath his powerful billionaire exterior is a deeply broken man hiding behind carefully constructed emotional firewalls, and watching Cassidy slowly become the one person capable of slipping past them was incredibly satisfying. His “I should stay away” mindset paired with his very loud “absolutely not” actions gave peak touch her and die energy, and I loved every second of it.
Cassidy, though, truly stole my heart. Healing from profound trauma, she is never portrayed as weak. Instead, her quiet resilience, strength, and determination to reclaim her independence made her such a compelling heroine. Whether she was navigating fear one step at a time or standing firm in knowing her worth, her growth felt authentic and deeply inspiring. I adored watching her bring color back into Max’s carefully controlled world.
Their connection is intense and layered, from stolen glances at the club to bonding over code, data patterns, and shared pain. The intellectual connection between them made their romance feel inevitable, and the slow‑burn build only heightened the chemistry and emotional depth. The trauma bonding was especially powerful; their shared darkness pulls them together in ways that feel raw, believable, and deeply moving.
The suspense woven throughout the story adds an ever‑present sense of danger, keeping you on edge as pasts threaten to resurface. I also appreciated that their relationship was never rushed or used as a fix‑all solution. Instead, both Max and Cassidy take the time to work on themselves first, building a healthy foundation before fully committing, something that made the HEA even more satisfying.
Emotional, gripping, and full of heart, Mr. Wilde is the perfect mix of swoon, suspense, and soul. If you love protective, morally gray antiheroes, strong heroines, high‑stakes romance, and a slow burn with depth, this is an absolute must‑read.
Thank you to Hambright PR and LM Fox for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
LM Fox was a new to me author, and I was not disappointed by Mr Wilde.
Cassidy and Max are both living in their own darkness, each trying to outrun their past, until one chance moment changes everything. When their eyes meet, Cassidy’s vibrant, pink-haired presence brings colour back into Max’s carefully controlled world.
Cassidy completely upends Max’s structured life, pushing them both far outside their comfort zones. From stolen glances across a club to bonding over code and phone data patterns, their connection feels both unexpected and inevitable. I always love and appreciate an intellectual connection in romance and these two were truly made for each other.
With dark pasts that threaten to resurface at any moment, there’s an underlying tension throughout the story, which leaves you constantly waiting for everything to unravel.
One of my favourite aspects was Cassidy’s character. While she is still healing from trauma, she is never portrayed as weak. Instead, she is resilient and strong, reclaiming her independence and building the life she deserves.
Max, on the surface, appears to be a powerful billionaire tech guru, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. He is morally grey, but for the right reasons, shaped by a broken past he keeps hidden behind carefully constructed emotional firewalls. Cassidy is the only person who has been able to infiltrate them.
They complement each other perfectly, coming into each other’s lives exactly when they need it most. I especially appreciated that they didn’t rush into a relationship as a solution to their problems. Instead, they took the time to work on themselves first, building a solid foundation before fully committing. Personally, I feel thats how it should be so I loved that about the story.
Whilst the attraction is instant, the romance unfolds as a slow burn, with tension, emotional depth, and an ever-present sense of looming danger keeping you hooked from start to finish.

• 𝐓𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐬 - - billionaire hacker MMC - trauma survivor FMC - obsession to love - found safety - high society secret club - slow burn tension - alpha cybertech morally gray anti-hero - romantic suspense - touch her and d!e vibes
• 𝐌𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 - This story follows Cassidy, a woman trying to rebuild her life while hiding from a dangerous past that nearly destroyed her. She carries deep trauma and lives carefully, always watching over her shoulder. Her quiet survival changes when she meets Max Wilde, a powerful billionaire hacker who instantly notices that something about her is different. What starts as curiosity slowly turns into intense protectiveness as Max realizes Cassidy is running from something dark and someone dangerous. Max Wilde was such a strong and captivating hero. He is confident, intelligent, and a little intimidating, but the way his protective side slowly grows around Cassidy made the story so addictive. I loved how he noticed the small details about her fear and quietly stepped into the role of protector without trying to control her healing. Cassidy was a character I really felt for. Her trauma, fear, and strength were written in a very emotional way. Watching her slowly learn to trust again was beautiful and painful at the same time. The growth she shows throughout the story made the ending even more satisfying. The tension between Max and Cassidy was so good. Their chemistry felt intense, emotional, and very slow burn. The suspense and mystery around Cassidy’s past kept me hooked and made the story impossible to put down. I loved the mix of romance, danger, and emotional healing. The story had protective energy, dark moments, and a satisfying emotional payoff. Max Wilde definitely became one of my favorite protective billionaire heroes. Thank you hambrightpr for the ARC!
Mr Wilde ; The Billionaire Boys Club !! Well it’s official I’m obsessed, just completely obsessed absolutely amazing series !! Each book just keeps getting better and better . And really - how do you even choose a favorite couple or story ? Especially when each owns a piece of your heart ❤️. Well I can genuinely say that if you had asked me that question prior to Max and Cassidy’s story - I most definitely would have said, not even possible. But now , these two just might be it . I can’t really put into words exactly what it was - I just felt such a strong connection to both . And I was not prepared for all the ways their journey would end up touching my heart and just resonating with me . I can say that I loved how opposite they were yet they complimented each other so perfectly. I loved the connection between them and the insane chemistry/ sparks 🔥 you could literally feel coming right off the pages . And I’m a sucker for a sexy as sin billionaire who’s the perfect blend of oh so swoony and morally gray - who gives off touch her and die vibes . I also loved Cassidy - how strong she was even with everything she’s been through in her life . Both are flawed , both have secrets and demons that haunt them . Watching them fall , watching them help each other overcome the emotional toll these things have had on them , the way they helped each other grow , so beautiful and so emotional , I really felt like I went through it all right along with them . From beginning to end I was hooked and completely invested. Oh man did Layla wreck me just wreck me in all the best ways possible
I could not put this book down! I was completely invested in it. My new favorite by LM Fox! Cassidy is still trying to move on after a tragic event at work. Which has affected her physically and emotionally. She is trying to be more independent. But some days the fear still grabs ahold of her. She gets a job offer that comes with housing in an extremely secure building. Which helps her take baby steps to more independence. But her job as a waitress at the Devils playground. Puts her in Max’s proximity. From the first moment Max sees Cassidy he knows she is hiding something. But the pull to her is too great for him to resist. So, he conveniently shows up when she is working. Even though he is wary because his past experience with people. But she brings him peace for some reason. And he just can’t resist her. Even when he wants to just push her away. Will he end up pushing her away for good? This was an emotionally thrilling story! The chemistry between the two of them is so HOT! I love how mentally strong Cassidy is. Considering the things she went through. I love how she knows she is worth more than how Max is treating her. Max himself had a traumatic event happen to him, which is still affecting him. It causes him to be scared to let Cassidy in. So, he repeatedly pushes her away. But when she is actually gone. He is more afraid that he finally lost her for good. It great how they both realize they need to work on themselves first and foremost. Before they can even have a healthy relationship. It is very heartwarming! You must read it. Their story will not disappoint you! I know it has become my new favorite from LM Fox!
You’ve got a billionaire tech genius with a vigilante side, a forbidden situation, and just enough danger to keep things interesting. It’s one of those stories that pulls you in fast and keeps building the whole time.
Cassidy’s storyline really stood out to me. She’s “hiding” at the club working while recovering from everything she’s been through, and I loved seeing her slowly come back into her strength. There’s a quiet resilience to her that made it easy to root for her.
And Max… he’s that morally gray, cyber genius who fully knows he should stay away...and simply does not. The way his secretive tech world ties into everything was such a good touch. He says “let her go” but his actions are very much “absolutely not.”
But I have to talk about the trauma bonding, because that was easily one of my favorite parts of this story. You can feel how their shared pain and experiences pull them together, and it makes their connection feel intense, raw, and honestly really believable. I loved how present it was and how it shaped everything between them. It added so much depth and made their relationship hit even harder.
And the protective energy? Top tier. The second that “touch her and…” vibe kicked in, I was all in.
Tropes 🖤Billionaire romance 💻Romantic Suspense 🖤Too many secrets 💻Touch her and vibes 🖤Broken heroine who regains her strength 💻Alpha cybertech morally gray antihero 🖤Forced Proximity 💻Fun Criminal Minds references 🖤Always a HEA
If you like a hero who’s a little obsessed, a little secretive, and very much not letting her go… you’ll want this one.
Cassidy was walking among the members of The Devil's Playground delivering drinks, but despite the high security, she couldn't help nervously looking around. She has come a long way in the last two years and her brother had assured her that she would be safe here.
The Devil's Playground was a private sex club with the highest of security to protect its members, many of the billionaire status. Gianni, the owner, knew her background and not only offered her a room, but also a job until she felt confident enough to be outside the walls of this high-security complex.
Max was sitting in the VIP section with his best friends when he noticed the new server. No matter how he tried he eyes were drawn to the woman whose hair reminded him of cotton candy.
At least once a month, he and his other friends get together to catch up at Gianni's club. Max owns a glocal cybersecurity company and often works at the club when he needs to escape his hectic office.
I loved this book! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. This series is intended to be read in order. It revolves around a group of friends who call themselves the Billionaires Boys Club, and they recur in each book.
This book is action-packed, smoking hot and full of mystery about Cassidy's past and what she is hiding from. Max has his own secrets, and hopefully, there will be a happy resolution for him in one of the future books in this series.
Highly recommend! Can't wait for the next book in the series!
I’m giving Mr. Wilde by LM Fox a full 5-star rating because this book completely pulled me in and did not let go. LM Fox is an author I’ve read before, but lately I’ve been getting even more into her work, and I am soooo excited about that decision because her writing and creativity genuinely impress me every single time. I don’t know how she does it, but Ma’am, please keep them coming. This story felt bold, intense, and layered in a way that made me sit up and really pay attention. From the billionaire empire to the vigilante secrets, I felt like I was stepping into a world that was dangerous, smart, and emotionally charged all at once. Cassidy walking into Max’s carefully controlled life changed everything for me as a reader, because I could feel the walls cracking the moment they met. I loved the morally gray, alpha cybertech antihero energy, especially knowing Max believed love was a liability yet couldn’t stop himself from wanting her anyway. The suspense kept my heart racing, but the romance grounded me in the best way, especially with the touch her and… vibes and the fierce protectiveness that made me root for them so hard. I also appreciated the broken heroine finding her strength, because watching her grow alongside him made their connection feel powerful and earned. This book gave me tension, emotion, secrecy, and a hard-won HEA that left me completely satisfied, and I’m so glad I kept reading LM Fox’s work because she truly delivered here.
This was such a refreshing surprise. The plot alone sets it apart, blending romance with tech, espionage, and just enough vigilante chaos to keep things feeling sharp and unpredictable.
From the very beginning, the story pulls you in and refuses to let go. There’s a constant sense of intrigue running beneath everything, making it impossible not to stay invested in what’s coming next.
And the characters? Exactly what you want. The billionaire trope will forever have me in a chokehold, and this one delivers. Powerful, mysterious, and carrying just enough of an alter ego to make things dangerously compelling. It adds that extra layer of tension and allure that makes you lean in a little closer.
The romance itself is well balanced, with just the right amount of heat. It never overshadows the plot, which honestly feels like the true star of the show. The story holds its own, and the relationship builds naturally within it, instead of taking over completely.
Overall, this was a gripping, unique read that stands out in a sea of predictable romance. Intriguing, well-paced, and just different enough to feel exciting again.

I was so happy that we were getting more of The Billionaire Boys Club! This story had me intrigued ever since it was announced. I headed back into The Billionaire Boys Club Series as soon as I could. I enjoyed this story so much!
Cassidy and Max got me right into their story! These two and their worlds collide at the Devil’s Playground. Could they be everything they need in each other’s lives? Or will secrets tear them apart?
As soon as Max and Cassidy locked eyes they had me glued to them. I so enjoyed how the club brought them together. They’d both been through things in their lives and digging deeper with them was great. I didn’t know how everything would play out for Max and Cassidy. These two and their journey kept me on edge with my heart fully invested.
The cyber aspect of it all was so fascinating to me. Cassie was such a strong soul. Cassie got right to Max’s heart. He really cared about her. The effect Cassidy and Max had on each other couldn’t be ignored. These two had me feeling every bit with them!
It was fun being back with The Billionaire Boys Club crew and seeing some familiar faces!
Mr. Wilde was such a unique and suspenseful billionaire romance that brought the feels and kept me on edge! ❤️💻
I can’t wait to read what this author brings our way next!
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from the author*
This book had me in a chokehold from the get go. I went into this expecting a billionaire romance, but it ended up being so much more intense than that. The whole vigilante side of Max?? Yeah… I was instantly drawn in. He’s dangerous, secretive, and very much living a double life, and I truly ate that up.
And then you have Cassidy, who just grounds him in a way I loved. She’s not weak or overshadowed by him; she brings this balance that makes their connection feel real, even with everything going on around them. The tension between them was SO good. That constant feeling of “this could go so wrong” mixed with how much they clearly care about each other?? I was hooked. And the more his secrets start creeping in, the more intense everything got.
What I really loved is that it’s not just bog-standard romance there’s danger, secrets, and that edge of unpredictability the whole way through. It kept me on my toes, but also gave me those softer moments between them that made it all come together.
I flew through this because I genuinely couldn’t put it down. It’s addictive, emotional, and just the right amount of chaotic.
Thank you to the author and Hambright PR for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
If you’ve read any of LM’s other books you know that they grab you from the beginning, and keep you entertained until the end. This one was no different. Max is a billionaire hacker, always serious, doesn’t lose focus of his goal, stays away from serious relationships, and doesn’t make time for anything other than work and hanging out with his buddies at their favorite club. Until he meets Cassidy- she works at the club he goes to often. There is something about her that has him hooked. He thinks about her all the time, he goes to the club just to watch her, but there’s only one problem- he doesn’t do relationships. Will meeting Cassidy break down the walls he’s had up for years? You have to read to find out. These characters each had their set of problems. While Cassidy was working on herself, Max kept pushing his feelings away until he couldn’t anymore. He was tired of living with his secret the reason he started his company and what kept him going every day. Cassidy was living at the club for its tight security, but knew that she would have to face her fears in order to have a somewhat normal life. The way that these two were drawn to each other was so fun to read. Cassidy was lonely and constantly scared while Max was a ball of anger and sadness. Read to find out how they stopped letting their past rule their present. You will love the ending!
If I could give a book an infinite number of stars, this would be the book. Intriguing, suspense-filled, beautifully written, heart-stopping and one book you do not want to miss are just a few words to describe Mr. Wilde by the talented author Ms. Fox. This book is a billionaire romance with an MMC who has this "touch her and die" attitude and an FMC who is trying to find her way again after her life was shattered. When a sexy billionaire who owns a cybersecurity company meets a secretive, beautiful woman, the attraction is intense. Max and Cassidy, two complete opposites with secrets, both have haunting pasts and yet have a lot in common. Their pasts have molded them into who they are today, but they also help one another grow into people who see life differently by the end of the book. Max uses his cybersecurity company to deal with his secrets, among other legal and illegal situations. Cassidy is a smart, fascinating, resilient, and determined woman who wants to become the woman she once was. From page to page, I was pulled in by the connection they shared and how they fought the attraction they had for one another. These two are soulmates who just needed a little push to find each other. I loved the references to Criminal Minds, one of my favourite shows.
Summary: Two years ago, Cassidy was seriously injured and traumatized. Since then, she’s been slowly fighting her way back into life and has started working as a waitress at a gentlemen’s club. One of the top rules there is to never get involved with any of the members. Otherwise, you’ll be fired. Cassidy is determined never to break this rule.
She depends on the job and definitely has no time for a man in her life. But when she meets the handsome billionaire Max Wilde one evening, she immediately feels an attraction to him. And when she learns what lies behind his empire, he becomes even more intriguing to her.
Opinion: In “Mr. Wilde” you can expect a billionaire romance with romantic suspense, Touch Her and Die and “Criminal Minds” references.
I found the first half of the book a bit slow, which is why it took me a while to get into the story at first. Fortunately, that changed and the second half in particular is written in a really gripping way.
I especially liked Cassidy’s character development. While she was very timid, reserved and unassuming at the beginning, she gained more and more self-confidence as the book progressed and dared to speak her mind and stand up for herself.
Overall, I enjoyed reading Cassidy and Max’s story and highly recommend it.
this book was a roller coaster ride and I was here enjoying all of it. I truly love a billionaire romance, especially when he’s morally grey, runs a tech company and is a vigilante. I loved the plot of this book, the chemistry between Max and Cassidy was sooo intense. They’re both packed with trauma, but Cassidy is taking steps towards healing while Max is drowning in survivors guilt. So there’s a lot of angst in this book as Max has this “I’m not good for you” complex but still can’t seem to stay away despite everything. Cassidy is a literal star too, she loves phone forensics, is an independent queen, and although her path to healing is tough, she pushes through. This book is truly about resilience, and is quite empowering. There were some good plot twists, and many angsty moments that had me crying. And… I love me some grovelling, and Max is a TOP TIER groveller, so major points there. In terms of spice, it isn’t really spicy, but the tension is all you need, because the “will they or won’t they” trope hits so hard! This book truly was an intense rise, I really enjoyed it and give it a 4.5/5
Spice: 🌶️🌶️ I received an eARC of Mr. Wilde by L.M. Fox thanks to Hambright PR, and I’m leaving this review completely voluntarily.
Mr. Wilde is book three in The Billionaire Boys Club, and this was such a fantastic read. Max, our billionaire, sexy, nerdy cyber hacker was everything I didn’t know I needed, and Cassidy, an aspiring forensic cyber investigator, was the perfect match for him.
The dynamic between them gave me total Criminal Minds vibes Max as her Derek and Cassidy as his Garcia and I absolutely loved that energy. Their chemistry felt natural and electric at the same time. Both characters bring depth to the story. Cassidy is navigating a traumatic past, while Max operates in that morally gray, vigilante space that you can’t help but be drawn to. Together, they just work.
Tropes: * Billionaire romance * Morally gray hacker * CEO MMC × digital forensics FMC * He falls first * Touch her and die * Strong but broken heroine * Lost/damaged hero * HEA
If you love techy romance with a protective alpha vibe and emotional depth, this one is definitely worth picking up.
I picked up this book because I liked the idea of a vigilante billionaire with a darker edge, and it turned out to be a really engaging read.
What I enjoyed most was the internal conflict of the hero. He’s not just powerful and intelligent, but also deeply broken, carrying a lot of anger and guilt. The way he struggles between pushing Cassidy away and wanting to protect her made his character feel more real and layered.
Cassidy was also a strong presence in the story. She’s not just there as a love interest—she challenges him, softens him in some ways, and brings a different kind of balance to his world. Their dynamic felt natural, especially with the mix of tension, attraction, and emotional vulnerability.
The story blends romance with suspense nicely, and the whole “secrets and consequences” theme kept me interested throughout. I also liked that the romance didn’t feel rushed and had time to build.
Overall, this was an enjoyable romantic suspense with a morally gray hero and a strong emotional core.
Thank you so much to the author for providing me with a free copy. I really appreciate the opportunity to read and review this book.
Mr. Wilde is book 2 in the Billionaire Boys Club series. It's an ansty, billionaire romance which follows the MCs Cassidy and Max. Cassidy's character was my favorite . She was complicated in a way that I personally connected to and her character development was oh so satisfying. I enjoyed watching her gain trust and strengthen. I just wanted her to be happy, find peace, and overcome her past trauma. Now, Max's character was also loveable. He was confident, protective, and also a powerful billionaire with a special skill set. The author did a great job making me care for these characters, I felt like a cheerleader rooting for their love story to unfold.
This book truly exceeded my expectations. The plot was entertaining and well developed. It was balanced with secrets, suspense, emotionally intense chemistry, and loveable characters. This was a book which read like a movie and I could visualize several of the scenes in my head. If you are looking for your next billionaire romance, LM Fox has a story for you.

Another winner in The Billionaire Boys Club series! Mr. Wilde is incredibly sexy. Sorry Mr. Banks.... Max is my new favorite. Max is perfect. He's intelligent, sexy, witty, and hungry. He's so primal my ovaries hurt from him kissing Cassidy. Sheesh, need I say more? Clearly, Max Wilde is our MMC. Cassidy, or Marleigh, is the FMC. She has a traumatic background and beautiful pink hair. I love her character and is one of my favorite girls thus far. Her character is extremely well developed. I'm curious to learn more about how her story progresses.
As with the other books in the series, L.M. Fox didn't disappoint with delivering an amazing, original and complete plot with clear character growth. Each have dynamic relationships with one another and the women in their lives. I can't get enough of how seamlessly the other books intertwine within each other. It's truly incredible. Big props to all the Criminal Mind references. That's one of my all time favorite TV shows til this day.
ATTENTION READERS ***If you want EMOTION, SPICE, and HOTTTTT TENSION, this one's for you. Chapter 20 in Gianni's office.....***
Mr. Wilde delivered a different tone from the rest of the series, leaning more into romantic suspense while still keeping the strong character dynamics I’ve come to expect.
The memory loss element pulled me in right away, and the tension stayed consistent throughout the story. The added danger and suspense gave this book a different feel compared to the others, but it worked well and kept me fully engaged.
What stood out most was how the story balanced suspense and emotional connection, allowing both to build at the same time rather than one overshadowing the other. Max’s protective nature stood out, especially with the higher stakes surrounding Cassidy’s situation. Their dynamic had both emotional weight and strong chemistry, which made their relationship feel balanced.
I also really enjoyed the side characters and how they contributed to the story overall—it made the world feel more connected.
Overall, this was a great addition to the series that brought something new while still feeling consistent with the overall tone.
As a reader we learn “something” bad happened to Cassidy. She was in a hospital, and has scars. Max owns Secure Sphere. He went to Princeton and with cyberwarfare running through his veins he was a billionaire before age 30.
Cassidy tends bar at an exclusive club. She is very protected, and lives on-site until she can handle more exposure to the outside world thanks to her brother. She is taking online classes in digital forensics and incident response training. Here is where she and Max overlap. Max works in the club to remove the “silence”, yet keep his privacy. When he discovers Cassidy’s “jam” is phone forensics, the bane of his existence, they start to work together.
I can’t say more without giving too much away. Wonderful characters, tough back stories, great progression of relationship, multi-level with friends, family and the job at hand. Highly entertaining, realistic and relatable story. Not to be missed!!
***** I am voluntarily leaving my honest review of this book *****
I was kindly provided with this book (censorship is BS and I hate it but here we are!)
This was a beta/ARC read I had the absolute pleasure of falling in love with!
Tropes for this one; romantic suspense, billionaire, lost & damaged Hero, Strong & Broken Heroine, Cybersecurity CEO MMC X Digital Forensics FMC, morally grey hacker, hot alpha billionaire, he falls first, touch her and die, Criminal Minds references. Smut was 2.5/5 on the spice scale and its a HEA in the Billionaire Boys Club series of interconnected standalones.
Cass is our FMC and when I tell you I immediately loved her. She was strong, she had grief and trauma she kept hidden but her character growth was perfect! She deserved the workd and didn’t settle till she got it.
Max is our MMC and damn I did love him. Yeah he had to get his shit together first, but he was so lovable and loyal, so determined to be everything for everyone, you can’t help but love him!
I loved Cassidy. She has come a long way in the past two years and her brother had assured her she would be safe at The Devils Playground. She walks among the members of The Devil Playground delivering drinks but despite the high security she couldn’t help but look around nervously. The Devils Playground is a private sex club for only exclusive members. Gianna the owner knew Cassidy’s background and not only offered her a room but also a job. Max our cybersecurity hacker is a member of The Devils Playground and while sitting with his friends he noticed the new server (Cassidy) and instantly became obsessed. Max is intense and a little controlling and fully convinced he’s the last person who deserves something good but falls for Cassidy anyway. This book is action packed, smoking hot and will definitely make you not put it down. I loved Max Cassidy’s story. It felt bold and intense and the chemistry between them was sizzling
