His diplomatic experience led him to write "Four Centuries of Friendship," a book celebrating the 400-year history of US-Bermuda relations, and now "Portraits of Ukraine A Nation at War," a book presenting modern Ukraine in the context of its history, culture, politics, faith traditions, and people. An expert at bringing people together, he is the author of the marriage and parenting advice books "Be a Better Dad Today," "Be the Best Mom You Can be," and "Maximum Marriage." Our societies require complex degrees and years of schooling and or apprenticeship for most occupations. We invest deeply in professional development to ensure our business practices are the best. We require everyone who wants to operate a car to pass a written and a road test. Yet, when it comes to what Gregory Slaton rightly calls the most important job we will ever do, fatherhood, there are no tests, no mandatory courses, and a paucity of relevant and accessible tools. So it is that this book is a timely and welcome resource. Not a bad book, providing many valuable lessons on how to be a great father. However, the number of references to the Bible can be overwhelming even for somebody who is neutral in the matter of religion. I would definitely recommend it anyway to any Dad :)
