Warning: This review is going to hit like a blog post. I’m going to be personal and extremely honest here.
I was terrified of the book of Revelations. For the 14 years I’ve been a Christian, there have been only two ways I’ve witnessed other Christians treat the Second Coming of Jesus Christ: complete fear and avoidance of the topic and fluffing it off with an “I just pray I’m not here for that”, or absolute nutcases who are so amped up and excited about it that THEY scare you. There is no in-between. Am I right? I know you probably know what I’m referring to. As a result of these two conflictions, I turned into one of the former Christians; complete fear and just praying, begging, that I’m not here for that because I don’t understand it and everything about it sounds terrifying.
But this year has been different. With our world experiencing these huge changes that no one alive has ever seen (global pandemic, country lockdowns, social distancing, etc) there have been SO many people coming out of the woodworks saying this or that about the end times. I had a hunger for the Truth because everyone made great cases but rarely did even two agree. I watched one video that called for the return of Christ to happen in 2021! What?! But then there have been so many people who have set dates in the past and they didn’t happen, so what does the Bible REALLY say? Well here’s the thing, I know what the Bible says, I’ve read most of those verses, the problem is, I didn’t understand it and I was too scared to try.
But I trust my Pastor. And he recommended this book to our congregation, so my husband and I bought a copy and started reading it aloud together. We read 174 pages of this book in a single night because WE COULDN’T STOP. We couldn’t stop talking about it, we couldn’t stop asking questions and going back to the Bible for answers, we couldn’t stop reading it because the mystery and fear shrouding one of the most prevalent topics in the Bible was finally falling from our eyes and we finally understood for the first time in our 10+ years of being Christians.
So let me tell you what Tipping Point: The End is Here is NOT (or, put another way, “what I was afraid it was going to be”).
1. It is NOT a book claiming to know when Christ will return. Pastor Jimmy Evans is very adamant about not setting a date and encourages you to NOT try to set a date. That is not for us to know. But there IS a reason that Jesus shared so much about His return and why his Second Coming is such a widely discussed topic in the Bible.
2. It is NOT a book that wants you to jump off the deep end and abandon everything to watch for the Second Coming. Jimmy Evans says multiple times, “Plan like Jesus isn’t returning for 100 years, but live like He’s returning today!” Keep living your life and don’t become a “prepper”!
3. And it is NOT a book that will leave you more terrified than when you started it. I mentioned that my husband and I read it almost entirely in a single day, but I didn’t mention that it took us nearly two weeks to even open it because we were so afraid of what was in it. I wish we would have started it as soon as we brought it home!
What it IS:
1. It IS a clear picture of the parallel connection between human history and the Bible. For me, I’ve always understood that Israel is significant to God’s plan, especially in light of all of the prophecies from Ezekial, Daniel, and the other prophetic books of the Bible, but I’ve had a hard time keeping up with the actual historical events of Isreal and the Bible’s prophecies. This book helped me understand SO much more by both explaining biblical prophecies and the correlation of the actual events that happened in or to Israel in history (and present-day). Pastor Jimmy Evans is a well-educated historian of world events in addition to being well-educated on the Bible, so to finally see the parallels between our history and the Bible events was ground-breaking to me and that alone made this book worth reading. (Another book worth reading on this topic is The Church in Babylon by Erwin W. Lutzer)
2. It IS simple and easy to understand. If prophecy is something that confuses you, and questions like, “The world has always been bad, how do we recognize fulfilled *Biblical* prophecy in reference to the Return?” or “Why does it matter that prophecy is fulfilled?” or even “Why should I actually care about looking for the Times?” Pastor Jimmy Evans lays things out in a way that doesn’t require 8 years in seminary school to understand. It’s a straightforward explanation and answers many of those questions that I, myself, had asked.
3. It WILL deepen your faith in Jesus! I do want to say, one of my biggest peeves about Christians is the idea that if you scare people enough, they’ll come to Christ. It doesn’t matter that they don’t really have a relationship with Jesus that will set them free from fear, but as long as they believe in Him to avoid hell, then we did our job as Christians. This just bothers me. Yes, there should be the holy fear of God, and yes hell is very real place, but is that the only reason we should follow Christ? No, He wants to have a relationship with us and while that relationship should carry reverence and acknowledgment of His power and divinity, fear should not be the focal point of our relationship with Him. I say all of that to say that this book won’t deepen your faith out of fear. It will deepen your faith in believing that God really is in control of EVERYTHING. It freed my thinking and reliance on politics and the upcoming election because it is a bigger picture, and I think sometimes, as Christians, we forget to look at the big picture. We forget that God is in control of the overall story and though terrible things may happen on the minuscule scale of our lives, if we keep our eyes on Him and His big picture, it makes those things look much smaller and insignificant.
So in complete review, Tipping Point by Jimmy Evans is an EXCELLENT book that I encourage everyone to read. If you’re overwhelmed with the circumstances happening in our world or overwhelmed with what’s happening in YOUR world, I urge you to read Tipping Point!

The good news is that I grew up hearing about the soon return of Jesus Christ. The bad news was there were dozens of theories on how and when this would happen. Finally, I begin to tune out the heated debates and settled for being a "pan-millenniallist" (In the end, it would all pan out.)
But with the ever-increasing unsettledness and uncertainty in our world, I have a growing conviction, that perhaps this really may be the "last days."
Enter Jimmy Evans and his book, "Tipping Point: The End is Here."
Pastor Evans presents a biblical case for the soon return of Jesus Christ while resisting the temptation of so many end times preachers and authors to venture into wild speculation and sensationalism.
If like me, you have a growing suspicion that Jesus really is coming soon, then you will be informed, instructed, and encouraged by this well-written book.

While this book started off strong, I felt over time the writing became repetitive and many of the points Jimmy made lacked sufficient evidence. The chapter on Morality at a Tipping Point faltered especially for me as many of the author’s claims were based on personal anecdotes and observations that the reader cannot verify. My biggest issue with the text was that much of the writing assumes its readers are an exclusively Christian audience who need not worry about going through the end times—it spends little to no time addressing the unsaved audience that it claims will bear the brunt of whole subject that the book is discussing! Despite my many misgivings with this text, I have still given it two stars as it did provide an adequate jumping off point for contextualize the relevance of Revelations (whether you believe the world is ending or not) to our modern times. Quite a few of the parallels discussed between the Bible and our world (such as the discussions about Silicon Valley and the 7-Day Creation Story) were in my opinion not undoubtedly proven, but still struck me as thoughtful and creative.

I really enjoyed this foray into end times theology. I liked how plain and simple Jimmy’s language was and he made a great case for suggesting we are now living in the end of the end times. Of course no one knows the day or the hour, and he is quick to inform the reader of this too.
It lost a star for me because as other reviewers have mentioned he did get his arithmetic mixed up regarding the Jewish civil calendar. Also his prescription for Salvation at the end had a lot of instructions and was overly complicated.
Salvation is always only about belief in Christ’s death on the cross, burial and resurrection for our sins.
As far as actual sound biblical information regarding the end times, it was a solid read and he made a good case for a pre-trib rapture.

I downloaded the audio book version of this book and started it on a road trip with my husband and 12 yr old son. What an amazing experience! We listened to the entire book in one day. We discussed what we heard when we stopped to eat and there were several times I had to pause for "moral teaching reinforcements" and answering questions. The best part was pausing to hear my son's input to further the discussion.
When we make this trip my son stares at his tablet playing games with his headphones on. This was not the case on this trip. He was just as interested as I was through the whole book. Although he was a little disappointed to hear the possible date end would be when he is 19.
I attend Gateway and had heard Ps Evans give messages about the end times. The first time left me feeling a little scared. The second time was a series he did as this book was released. I thought the book was going to contain the same message as the book. However that was not the case thankfully.
I'm sure this is going to be just the first book we read to learn about the end times. We all enjoyed this book. I am thankful I was able to have these obedience discussions with my son. It really helped me give my son the bigger picture as to why it is important to avoid sin and live for Jesus.
As I often say "the 12 year old gets it!" Maybe the rest of us can "get it" too.

This was interesting to listen to. It did hold my interest, which kept me from giving up on it; I did listen to the end. The two stars reflect the weakness of the argument. There were many chapters in which I felt the author was extrapolating way too much from scripture. I’m also don’t like that the author requires a strict literal six-day creation and 6000 year human history on Earth. Lastly, the author presents his own opinion about a pre-tribulation rapture, but doesn’t adequately represent or refute other interpretations. There are other books that study the books of Daniel and Revelation that helped me to dive deeper into studying Biblical prophecy.
Overall, I’m glad I listened to it. As often as the author said he’s not giving a date of Christ’s return, his time frame is so narrow, I really feel that he IS giving one. I respect his prediction, and hope he’s right, I just don’t think his argument is very convincing.

Wow! What an amazing prophetical read. Every event mentioned is backed up by scripture straight from the Bible. Everyone MUST read this book! Jesus is coming back very soon and you don’t want to miss this. I am so grateful God’s plan is to rapture his church before the 7 year tribulation. You do NOT want to be left behind. 1,000 years on earth is only 1 day in heaven, on God’s clock. He says a generation is 70 years but 80 years at most....you add in there that Israel is 72 + a 7 year trib....brings us to 79!

January 22, 2024 Very interesting! I believe knowing Bible prophecy is really important. The author of Tipping Point had his top 10 reasons for why he believes we are living in the end times laid out in simple, easy to understand terms. Definitely worth a read, even though it’s already been several years since it was published. Everything he talks about is even more true now!

ARE WE LIVING IN THE ‘END TIMES’?
Author and pastor Jimmy Evens wrote in the Introduction to this 2020 book, “I believe the end times officially began in 1948 when Israel became a nation… That began the prophetic clock ticking. Since that time, we have seen prophecy after prophecy fulfilled, and they are still unfolding constantly around the world. There is virtually no mathematical chance that these events could be accidental… I believe we have reached the boiling point of something far bigger than a particular social or cultural change. I believe we have approached … the end of the age… we are already there, and these things are happening NOW… I am also going to show you how to have hope and peace in the midst of it all.” (Pg. viii-ix)
He explains, “The beginning of the fulfillment of this prophecy was in AD 70. The Roman general Titus had invaded Israel, finally destroying the city of Jerusalem. The Jewish people were scattered throughout the world (the Diaspora), where they would remain for approximately 1,900 years. In 1948 they began to return to their homeland. Then in 1967 Israel engaged in the Arab-Israeli Six Day War. On June 10, 1967, the Jews remained control of the city, and it remains in their hands today. For me, this is the most significant prophetic event of my lifetime.” (Pg. 13)
He reports, “A blood moon is the same as a lunar eclipse when the moon turns red. Four consecutive blood moons are called a tetrad. Before 1949 the convergence of four consecutive blood moons on Jewish holy days hadn’t occurred for 500 years… The first time there were four blood moons on Jewish holy days in successive years was in 1492 and 1493… The second time … was in 1949 and 1950. Israel became a nation in one day on May 14, 1948, but was not established as a government until 1949. The third time it happened was in 1967 and 1968. The Jews took full control of the city of Jerusalem in 1967… The fourth and last time it happened was in 2014 and 2015… Undoubtedly, God is sending signals in the sky related to the end of the age and the return of Jesus… [In 2014 and 2015] The Jews prepare to rebuild God’s holy Temple… The Temple Institute and other Jewish religious groups have been diligently preparing to rebuild the Temple and reinstate all ceremonies, sacrifices, and worship… On August 2, 2018, a red heifer was born in Isael, and this animal currently qualifies as ‘unblemished.' This incident is critical because a third Temple cannot be built until a red heifer exists that can qualify as a sacrifice.” (Pg. 34-37)
He argues, “On May 14, 2018, the State of Israel turned 70 years old. Five months earlier… US President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s true and legitimate national capital and began plans to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. For the first time since King Cyrus… a major world leader has formally recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital city. Yes, I believe the clock if moving forward very rapidly. If the generation Jesus was referring to is 70 years, then we are already past it. If it is 80 years, we aren’t that far away.” (Pg. 40)
He observes, “In 2017 the US experienced two major natural events within a single week. On Monday, August 21, a total solar eclipse crossed over the US… This astrological phenomenon had not happened for 99 years, although it will occur again on April 8, 2024. When that event takes place, the eclipse will mark an ‘X’ over the US. Historically, Jewish tradition considers eclipses to be warnings to Israel… are these two crossing eclipses a warning for the world? I believe they very well could be.” (Pg. 72)
He continues, “I must tell you before I discuss the next astronomical sign that I believe this is the second-most significant event related to the end times of my lifetime... the description of this end times sign [IS] in Revelation 12:1-6… On September 23, 2017, viewed most clearly from the city or Jerusalem, the constellation Leo was positioned directly above the head of the constellation Virgo, the ‘virgin.’… This event coincided with the High Holy Days of Rosh Hoshana… The planets Mercury, Venus, and Mars joined these brighter stars to make the appearance of a 12-jeweled crown sitting atop Virgo’s head.” (Pg. 77-78)
He admits, “People are always speculating about who the Antichrist is… But the truth is, I don’t really know, and neither do you. It’s not revealed yet. No one will know until after the Rapture, and I don’t plan to be there.” (Pg. 103)
He says of RFID chips, “It can be placed in your arm, on your hand, or even in your forehead… the Bible says there will be some kind of identification on the bodies of every individual who wants to buy or sell… This type of technology … simply did not exist a century ago. Ours is the first generation to experience this kind of technological advancement that the Bible says will be available in the Tribulation.” (Pg. 170)
He explains, “Genesis says that both before and after the Flood, there were giants on earth. The Hebrew word … [is] ‘Nephilim,’ which means ‘fallen ones.’… Who, then, are these sons of god Genesis mentions?... every time the Bible mentions giants, they are at war with God and God with them… biblical giants … are not humans in the sense of being pure and direct descendants of Adam and Eve. In biblical terms… giants are in the image of Satan. This is my personal position, but it is a studied position.” (Pg. 183)
He asserts, “Throughout the centuries many Jewish scholars taught that the seven days in Genesis chapter 1 correspond to 7,000 years of human history. In the very beginning, God was saying, ‘There will be 7,000 years for humanity.’ During the first 6,000 years, humans will have an opportunity to manage the earth. Then Christ will reign on earth for 1,000 years. Humanity’s 6,000 years are over… We simple happen to be the generation that is alive at its fulfillment.” (Pg. 200-201) He adds, “If we are in the end times and human history is a period of 6,000 years, then a survey of the calendar will give us verification that we are very near the end.” (Pg. 205)
He notes, “According to the Jewish civil calendar, the year of this book’s publication is 5780… So if the year is 5780, then 20 years remain until the 6,000-year mark… A small group of Messianic Jews … maintain that 6,000 years from Creation is much closer to the present year… They originally said 2015 was year 6001 and speculated that Jesus would be returning that September. However, as we know, Jesus did not return then. So I’m giving caution to anyone who is looking for a specific date… Over my lifetime, I have witnessed many people who set dates. I do not recall the results being good for any of these people.” (Pg. 206-207)
This book will appeal to some Christians interested in biblical prophecy.

The Jewish people were scattered throughout the world (the Diaspora), where they would remain for approximately 1,900 years. In 1948 they began to return to their homeland. Then in 1967 Israel engaged in the Arab-Israeli Six Day War. On June 10, 1967, the Jews remained control of the city, and it remains in their hands today. For me, this is the most significant prophetic event of my lifetime.” (Pg. 13)
He reports, “A blood moon is the same as a lunar eclipse when the moon turns red. Four consecutive blood moons are called a tetrad. Before 1949 the convergence of four consecutive blood moons on Jewish holy days hadn’t occurred for 500 years… The first time there were four blood moons on Jewish holy days in successive years was in 1492 and 1493… The second time … was in 1949 and 1950. Israel became a nation in one day on May 14, 1948, but was not established as a government until 1949. The third time it happened was in 1967 and 1968. The Jews took full control of the city of Jerusalem in 1967… The fourth and last time it happened was in 2014 and 2015… Undoubtedly, God is sending signals in the sky related to the end of the age and the return of Jesus… [In 2014 and 2015] The Jews prepare to rebuild God’s holy Temple… The Temple Institute and other Jewish religious groups have been diligently preparing to rebuild the Temple and reinstate all ceremonies, sacrifices, and worship… On August 2, 2018, a red heifer was born in Isael, and this animal currently qualifies as ‘unblemished.' This incident is critical because a third Temple cannot be built until a red heifer exists that can qualify as a sacrifice.” (Pg. 34-37)
He argues, “On May 14, 2018, the State of Israel turned 70 years old. Five months earlier… US President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s true and legitimate national capital and began plans to move the US embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. For the first time since King Cyrus… a major world leader has formally recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s capital city. Yes, I believe the clock if moving forward very rapidly. If the generation Jesus was referring to is 70 years, then we are already past it. If it is 80 years, we aren’t that far away.” (Pg. 40)
He observes, “In 2017 the US experienced two major natural events within a single week. On Monday, August 21, a total solar eclipse crossed over the US… This astrological phenomenon had not happened for 99 years, although it will occur again on April 8, 2024. When that event takes place, the eclipse will mark an ‘X’ over the US. Historically, Jewish tradition considers eclipses to be warnings to Israel… are these two crossing eclipses a warning for the world? I believe they very well could be.” (Pg. 72)
He continues, “I must tell you before I discuss the next astronomical sign that I believe this is the second-most significant event related to the end times of my lifetime... the description of this end times sign [IS] in Revelation 12:1-6… On September 23, 2017, viewed most clearly from the city or Jerusalem, the constellation Leo was positioned directly above the head of the constellation Virgo, the ‘virgin.’… This event coincided with the High Holy Days of Rosh Hoshana… The planets Mercury, Venus, and Mars joined these brighter stars to make the appearance of a 12-jeweled crown sitting atop Virgo’s head.” (Pg. 77-78)
He admits, “People are always speculating about who the Antichrist is… But the truth is, I don’t really know, and neither do you. It’s not revealed yet. No one will know until after the Rapture, and I don’t plan to be there.” (Pg. 103)
He says of RFID chips, “It can be placed in your arm, on your hand, or even in your forehead… the Bible says there will be some kind of identification on the bodies of every individual who wants to buy or sell… This type of technology … simply did not exist a century ago. Ours is the first generation to experience this kind of technological advancement that the Bible says will be available in the Tribulation.” (Pg. 170)
He explains, “Genesis says that both before and after the Flood, there were giants on earth. The Hebrew word … [is] ‘Nephilim,’ which means ‘fallen ones.’… Who, then, are these sons of god Genesis mentions?... every time the Bible mentions giants, they are at war with God and God with them… biblical giants … are not humans in the sense of being pure and direct descendants of Adam and Eve. In biblical terms… giants are in the image of Satan. This is my personal position, but it is a studied position.” (Pg. 183)
He asserts, “Throughout the centuries many Jewish scholars taught that the seven days in Genesis chapter 1 correspond to 7,000 years of human history. In the very beginning, God was saying, ‘There will be 7,000 years for humanity.’ During the first 6,000 years, humans will have an opportunity to manage the earth. Then Christ will reign on earth for 1,000 years. Humanity’s 6,000 years are over… We simple happen to be the generation that is alive at its fulfillment.” (Pg. 200-201) He adds, “If we are in the end times and human history is a period of 6,000 years, then a survey of the calendar will give us verification that we are very near the end.” (Pg. 205)
He notes, “According to the Jewish civil calendar, the year of this book’s publication is 5780… So if the year is 5780, then 20 years remain until the 6,000-year mark… A small group of Messianic Jews … maintain that 6,000 years from Creation is much closer to the present year… They originally said 2015 was year 6001 and speculated that Jesus would be returning that September. However, as we know, Jesus did not return then. So I’m giving caution to anyone who is looking for a specific date… Over my lifetime, I have witnessed many people who set dates. I do not recall the results being good for any of these people.” (Pg. 206-207)
This book will appeal to some Christians interested in biblical prophecy.

I skimmed through "Tipping Point". Here are some of my thoughts.
Page 39, 51, 217. Evans is interpreting Matt 24:32-35 ("this generation will not pass away until these things take place"). He says "He couldn't have been speaking of His generation because they all died". Other scholars disagree, e.g. see "Raptureless" by Jonathan Welton. Clearly, Evans is interpreting this verse to support his viewpoints. I.e. he is speculating.
Page 40. Evans tries to define "generation" as 70 or 80 years. He is confusing "generation" (from parent to child) with "length of your life". Go to gotquestions.org to see what others consider to be a "generation". It is much more common that people use circa 40 years as a generation. So again, Evans is speculating.
Page 72. Evans somehow claims the "X" on maps is prophetic. Go to google and search for "map of lunar eclipses". Look at the images. There are lots of "X"s on maps from the paths of lunar eclipses. How, exactly, is the "X" in Illinois special compared to all of the other "X"s??? (It is not). He is speculating.
Page 133. Evans seems to say that it was good for the press to deceive the public about Roosevelt. Weird.
Page 164. Any talk of "doubling" in a fixed length of time is exponential growth. Evans clearly does not understand "steady" growth verses "exponential" growth.
Page 206. 5780+20=6000? Evans cannot even do simple addition.
Page 211. Evans says "I am not offering pure speculation". This claim is galling, given his wide-ranging speculations.
Is Evans more of a Biblical scholar, or more of an entertaining preacher? Given that he leads a megachurch, the answer is obvious. The quality of the arguments in the book make it obvious as well. Poor writing and poor arguments.

Pastor Jimmy Evans, a longtime teacher and student of biblical prophecy delivers his opus on the subject. He places his work in today's tumultuous times and applies biblical scripture to events of the last 100 years. He tackles questions about whether these are end times, indicators of the coming tribulation, the role that Israel plays in prophecy, the posiiton of believers in response to the rampant evil in the world, is COVID a prophetic pandemic, and historical precedants.
The structure of the book builds to a crescendo and moves quickly. He weaves his theory around the re-establishment of Israel, the proposed rebuilding of the Jewish Temple, the control of the Temple Mount, and the re-establishment of the priesthood of Melchizedek. The author also refers to astronomical signs and events like eclipses, red moons, and comets in great detail and prophetic importance.
In short, the author clearly shows that the chaos and upheaval of the current postmodern, post-Christian, and post-Bible age is the precursor to the Lord's rapture and eventual return. The modern church has fallen prey to universalism, political correctness, and an abandonment of scriptural truth. The stage is set for Satan to dominate for a short while. The Lord will settle it once and for all is the clear promise. The author conveys all this clearly and concretely.
The author ends the book with a path to redemption so as to avoid the doom that awaits the unrepentant.

I actually didn’t want to read this book because I find Revelation confusing and scary. However, after reading it, I’m more at peace because, like Evans points out, God gives us end times signs not to scare us but to prepare us.
Before reading this book, I was already pretty convinced that we’re living in the end times, but Evans pointed out Biblical prophesies that actually prove it. While some are his personal interpretations that left me skeptical, others have already happened (e.g., Israel’s nationhood). The content was definitely interesting and sparked really deep conversations with my Book Study group.
However, the writing style was terrible. It felt like Evans wrote this out during quarantine and pushed it out in a rush because of the pandemic chaos. It could have benefited from a few edits—it was rather redundant, there are areas with sections of lengthy Biblical passages followed by maybe a sentence or two of weak explanation. There are also way too many exclamation marks for a text that’s supposed to be expository, but that’s just a pet peeve of mine. He also often writes something pretty obvious and then explains it further, but then writes something confusing and just leaves it hanging.
If you’ve read other end times studies this is probably not a book for you, but for a first exposure it’s not too bad.

For the most part, I buy into the fact that we are in the last days of the end times. Some of the minor details and interpretations I’m a little iffy on, such as the astronomical/astrological prophecies. But I do like that Evans grounds the book in actual biblical Scripture and adheres to the true Doctrines of Christianity. I prepared for the possibility this book would be some mystical, faux Christian scheme, but thankfully this book does not fit that mold. I asked God for discernment while reading so that I wouldn’t simply fall for anything that is false, but I didn’t feel that vibe at all from it. And the end of the book inspired me to actually get baptized (even though it’s not required for salvation, obviously), but I still think it’s something important that would strengthen my faith and convey to the church that I’m serious about following Jesus. If not thoroughly convincing, the book definitely inspires me to continue to strengthen my relationship with Jesus and live a more obedient and intentional life for Him, and to be ready at any moment for His imminent return. I’m glad Evans does not mention a date of return for Jesus in this book, but understands that nobody will know the day or the hour. But one thing is certain: His return is closer than it has ever been before.

Excellent conclusions using scripture. Did NOT feel there were any “jumping to conclusions”. Thought the cover was a little dramatic and made it feel corny, but so glad I grabbed it. Thoroughly enjoyed it and passing it along to my husband!
Clearly, no human could guess what the Creator of the Universe is planning - but Jimmy did an excellent job in using and explaining scripture. Really has me thinking!!

Loved the book and the way Jimmy Evans took such a difficult book, Revelations and made it clear and easy to follow and understand. While reading this book, two others kept creeping into mind. 1st was the Harbinger because while reading that one I had to keep looking up the events in the book because I really couldn't believe they were true. Now that book was fiction, but "Tipping Point" is what we are actually living in today, real tangible things. During this read, I also had to "google" the events that the author was talking about to confirm them. It's unbelievable how God gives us signs every day and SOOOOO many people choose not to believe or chalk it up to coincidence (Matthew 13:9-16). The other comparison I felt while reading this book was anything written by Francis Chan. He gives you the truth and always really challenges you. Most of the time I have to take a real hard look at myself after reading his stuff. I almost feel like I'm not a Christian after reading Chan. And thats exactly the point. Time is short, and what are you doing with it. Thanks Jimmy Evans for helping me understand Revelation more clearly. Highly recommend.

I was given this book by my Father-In- Law last week and devoured it! Jimmy Evans covers so much prophecy in this book in an easy to read simple format that even my kids could understand.
I particularly liked how he weaved Psalm 2 into our current time period and Revelations, as this is something God recently revealed to me as well....connecting the “ruling all nations with a rod of iron” in Psalm 2 which is also spoken of in Rev. 12 in the mysterious vision in the stars John saw.
Evans puts forth an argument for a 6000 year human lifespan on earth before the rapture (pre-trib) and states the final 1000 years will be the milennial reign of Christ. Going by the Jewish calendar, we are very close to 6000 years on Earth at this point in 2020.
Giants, the flood, trans humanism, RFID chips, coronavirus, Israel, and many other topics are simply and powerfully described and put in prophetic order in this book. Highly recommend for anyone interested in eschatology and the coming rapture/tribulation time period quickly approaching.

I had to stop and think about this review before writing it. I have mixed feelings about the book.
While the bones of the book are solid, and most of the time the Biblical exposition is spot , there are times when that is not the case. When it comes to interpreting current events, I am not nearly as comfortable as the author in his tying these events to end times. Sometimes the application just a little too much for me. I haven’t seen anyone put forth a 6,000-7,000 year time line for history in a very long time.

I thought the format could have been better, but the substantive content is a five. I truly believe we are in the last days of the dispensation period. I’ve read multiple biblical accounts of God’s timing that reflects the catching away of the Church is within my lifetime. Pastor Evans does a wonderful job drawing parallels between the Bible and how our world is unfolding before us.
Everyday I am thankful to God for the gift of Jesus. I pray for the salvation of those who don’t yet know Christ, and that they will have their eyes and ears opened in time. No one will want to be here for the Tribulation.

What do I think? I think I don't know enough about Bible prophesy, Israel, & Jews today to validate the author's information. But if what he says is correct, we may be nearing the end sooner than we think. I could not quite conceive the chapter on fallen angels and giants, but I do agree with his overall words of wisdom to "Plan like Jesus isn't coming back for 100 years, but live like He is coming back today!" I think the "Fruits of the Spirit" is a daily test for us to be sure our hearts are inline with God's will (LJP,PKG,FGS-found in Galatians 5).

If you want a spiritual reawakening, this is a gramophone blasting loudly to the ears of all Christian believers that the end truly is coming. But as its message is clear, it doesn't bring with it a trepidation, but a cleansing peace. Im thankful to a family member who gave this loan out to me. I needed this. My soul needed this. But as with all books of faith, it is not a substitute for the Bible, but is a great book for those seeking the Lord and want to live a life of righteousness. The Lord desires us to not live of the world, but of him. God Bless to all hungry readers here!

I have been fortunate enough to hear Pastor Jimmy Evans preach end times sermons live in person while he was the senior pastor at Trinity Fellowship in Amarillo. Now that he works at Gateway, we don’t get him in person as much but still closely follow his teachings. This book was extremely timely for 2020. I have never seen a pastor who explains end times events and prophecies better than Pastor Evans. This book was so good and full of such amazing information, I think I will read it again in 2021. Pick this book up, you won’t be disappointed!

Pretty basic breakdown of how and why Evans predicts we are living in end-times. This topic is always interesting and surrounded with doubt and ridicule, even by strong believers.
At times, Evans sounds like every generations 'end 0f times' prophet, but if we simply look around and match-up the teachings in this book there are some arguments to be made.
The book is not overly deep or complex, nor worldly and cartoonisth, as this subject sometimes can be. It's quite simple and straight-forward.

The End is Near? No, the End is Here!
Jimmy Evans has written a provocative book about the end times and the second coming. He very carefully avoided anything that could be construed as "setting dates." However, the author does make it clear that we are in the "end of the end times" and believes that the rapture (Evans is staunchly pre-trib) could occur at any time. If you're interested in eschatology, you should read this book. It will be debated and referred to for years to come, if the world lasts that long.

Very Detailed Presentation of the gospel
I, Sue W., thoroughly enjoyed the book. I am in complete agreement with Jimmy Evans' belief that we are living in the end of the end times. We may not know the day, nor the hour of Christ's return, but we certainly can know the seasons and signs. I implore those who have not surrendered to Christ and asked Him to be Lord, 100%, to do so. People, get ready- The King is coming!!! Read this book, read and study God's Word, and prepare to meet God!

Insightful
Jimmy Evans breaks down the End of Days to where anyone can understand the signs and seasons we are in. I had heard this message as a series in our church but still bought the book to refresh myself. He draws wisdom and a multitude of scripture to support his beliefs and to educate Christians. It's a wonderful reminder that no matter what lies ahead God is good, He is full of grace, and Jesus is coming for the Church.
