At a West Hollywood bar, mix one part Angelic vengeance with a tall shot of Reaper hellfire, add a deadly dose of Fallen Angel, and there's going to be Hell to pay. Evie Grace loved her job as a vice detective, men, and Happy Hour – though not always in that order. Then she was murdered. As a new Avenging Angel, Evie can handle the white wings and Celestial Mandate to avenge the innocent. But falling in love with a Reaper she’s been ordered to kill? That’s complicated. Her Celestial duty is clear. But Evie's never been very good at following the chain of command, which is probably what got murdered in the first place. But what Evie doesn’t know could plunge her into a darkness from which there is no return. Even for an Angel. Cowboy-turned-Reaper, Nathan 'Trick' McKitrick, had his own reasons for selling his soul. Now he's been given the chance to get out of the contract by a Fallen Angel. Just one last, dirty job. Kill the woman he’s falling in love with.

I thought this book was ok.. I didnt really think it was good but it wasnt too bad.. The book didnt really go into much detail. I only found out that Evangeline or Evie was murdered from the goodreads book description-if it was in the book maybe i had missed that detail.. I think the book left out a lot of details-kind of missing holes in the story.. As i read the book description, it says much more than what the book had been written. Evie is an Avenging Angel with a flaming sword. She meets Nathan aka Trick in a bar, who turns out to be a Reaper. An occurrence happens in the back of the alley that leaves Evie tracking Trick and some stuff goes down This book was a short read and i wouldnt recommend it to younger readers due to sexual content...
I received a copy via Voracious Readers to review I found the book to be an enjoyable read, although the interaction between the male and female leads seemed way too quick to come to the love conclusion and hop into the sack together. It was almost forced. A bit more interaction between the two on any kind of level would have made the book a lot better. I liked the concept that was presented, but again, it needed more fleshing out.
This was a short book but all packed with love pain and vengeance!! When Trick a Reaper meets Evie at a bar he has it bad for her even if he has to kill her to get out of his deal with his boss to get his soul back. She has an instant connection even if her killer sword has other ideas. Great debut to the series!!
it was a good little story... i was confused on some parts because it felt like it would jump... but over all a good book and would like to see what happens next...
