Finding Cade
Cade Kent Kestler has been a caring and protective brother, always watching out for his daring sister, Skye, since the day she was born. But this time he had to take care of himself.
Cade and Skye only recently learned that their parents had time-traveled with them from 2035 to 1885 as children, in order to find a safe way of living. Now that the secret is out and they have learned how to time travel themselves, the adventurous Skye was eager to seek out her ancestors and immerse herself in their lives, but Cade was against this practice, saying it was dangerous and would only lead to trouble. Unfortunately, the time has now come when Cade has no choice. He has to use their secret power in order to save himself from a fight that was about to prove deadly. Escaping the only way he knew how, he pressed his secret button and discovered he had gone farther back than he had planned. He was now in 1831 in a Pottawatomi village along the shores of Lake Michigan.
Who are these people, and how will they receive him? Why does he feel so comfortable here? How is it possible that he can understand their language? And why does he feel a close connection to the lovely Kewaunee, the native woman who saved his life?
When Skye discovers her brother is missing, the frantic search begins. She turns to the love of her life, Remington Hart, a man from the future who first came to take her back to the year where she belonged. Remington has a tracking device which should be able to find Cade, but it has failed. Rem has promised Skye he will do all he can to find Cade, but will it be enough? Will Cade be lost to them forever? Will Skye and Rem’s love survive the turmoil?

Jane O'Brien
35 books190 followersJane O'Brien discovered her love of writing at the age of ten when she wrote her first ten-chapter book in pencil on notebook paper. She passed it around to all of her friends at school and told them she wanted to be an author. And that planted the seed.
O'Brien's career life has been varied. She was a piano teacher for over 50 years, a librarian, and a professional proofreader. She is also interested in genealogy, having worked on her own family tree, as well as her husband's, for over 40 years, which helps to color most of her novels.
Today, as a grandmother, Jane is finally fulfilling her lifelong dream, after successfully having her thirty-second book published, which includes two trilogies, one six-book series, two Christmas novellas, and two Amazon best-selling time slip series. She lives in West Michigan and writes romance with a little history, mystery, and family entanglements, all set in her part of the state.
The stories she weaves are about family and the intricate connections of relatives, past and present.

An exciting ride!
If you read only one of Jane's books you'll find yourself so caught up in the story, the characters and the changing timelines, you never want the book to end! Good thing there are so many great books in this and her other series!

On to the next adventure
Many more twists and turns.
How would you like to meet your parents before you were born? Could you live in a sterile future that is predicted here? Is it headed that way now with all the spy technology and government warping our lives? Would you like to go to the past before you were even though of and live what you had dreamt about?
Then perhaps you should read this book. What will happen next to Skye and her family?

This is another great book by Author Jane O'Brien.
I love the way that Jane O'Brien weaves through the different decades to tell us the story.
Finding Cade took us on a journey through 4 different decades.
Finding the new life that Cade has taken is great. Cade seems so happy and I hope that he continues to follow this new path. I hope the news that Skye gave him isn't true.
Can't wait for the next book in the series.

Love this author she literally pulls you into the story your reading and makes you feel like you are the time traveler. Highly addictive read!! I would recommend this author to all my friends and family who live a good adventure.

Author Jane OBrien is a prolific writer, and I am a prolific reader, so I was delighted when finding Cade (Branches of Time book 4) was released.
Characters Cade, Skye and Remington are the key players in this fascinating and exciting time travel story. These characters have traveled from the year 2035 to 1885 because they wanted to escape the dictatorship of the future.
Life gets exciting in 1885 when Cade experiences problems and accidentally travels back to 1831 to an Indian Potawatomi Village along the shores of Lake Michigan. This part of the book features a loving look at the tribe Cade discovers. (He also discovers romance.) Sky and Remington, in 1885, try to find Cade.
Sky and Remington have their own travel problems as well as personal issues. But readers who enjoy this series know that love and romance always bring them together. I found this book to be thoughtful, romantic and fascinating. Each book in this series has been so diverse and captivating. Author O’Brien is the master of this genre! I am eagerly looking forward to Book 5.
