For some odd reason, I happen to be the first and only human student at Ziv Academy, an intergalactic university of strictly alien students. It's a lot of pressure, being the only human. All eyes are on me, judging me, and I'm nothing special. How am I supposed to represent the entire human race?
Ziv Academy is strange, to say the least. Aliens roam its halls, and no one looks quite like me. Also, my roommate is a guy... a really annoying guy with terrible taste in music.
It's not all bad, though. I have an awesome new friend named Panda, who's quirky and fun. A gorgeous alien prince may or may not have a crush on me. My life is weirder than I ever thought it would be, but honestly? I wouldn't have it any other way.
Alien U is a sweet science fiction romance series for new adults & teens.
I'm a rather reclusive author living in Ohio with four cats. I write super fluffy fluff and darkest grim grimdark. "This author has a strange imagination" was my favorite compliment ever. I hope my strange imagination entertains someone out there!
This was the first book I've read from this author, and I really enjoyed it. I basically finished it in one setting. The world that was created is interesting and shows that humans are not as all knowing as some like to think we are.
I definitely found this to be an intriguing story - from the premise, to the setting, to the characters... they all caught my attention and kept me engaged. I enjoyed Reena as the main character - the first human admitted to the intergalactic Ziv Academy. She was smart, kind and innocent, and I was glad to see things from her point of view because she was completely accepting of the cultural differences between the varying alien races. I also enjoyed Panda, Teeg, and Brayth as secondary characters and I liked seeing how relationships were built between them. The plot had a good bit of excitement and left plenty of room for development in the next books. I am looking forward to seeing how things evolve in Reena's second semester!
