The follow-up to the outrageously successful 2001 movie. "Shrek 2" involves Shrek and Princess Fiona getting invited to her parents' home for a post-wedding celebration. However, her mother and father have no idea that they are both ogres--and her parents have a surprise in store for Shrek and Fiona.
Stephen Cole (born 1971) is an English author of children's books and science fiction. He was also in charge of BBC Worldwide's merchandising of the BBC Television series Doctor Who between 1997 and 1999: this was a role which found him deciding on which stories should be released on video, commissioning and editing a range of fiction and non-fiction titles, producing audiobooks and acting as executive producer on the Big Finish Productions range of Doctor Who audio dramas.
This book has lots of bits and pieces about the first two instalments in the Shrek franchise, accompanied by pictures taken directly from the movies. It’s a great guide and introduction into the world of this beloved ogre. I found it a little tedious but it might just be because it’s written for children. Altogether, not a bad book but, not one of my favourites either.
I think these DK Essential Guides are really good they include character profiles and information on the locations of the film, I decided to re- watch Shrek and Shrek 2 before reading this guide and I really enjoyed watching then reading about the film and characters, a fun read any Shrek fan would enjoy.
