I loved this book! Oh wow! I wasn't prepared to be sucked in from page one and glued there until the last page, but I was! This is one action packed story with a whole lot going on! There is drama, intrigue, love, lust, family, conspiracy and so much more! I just could not stop reading!
John is an assassin for hire, and he is very good at his job. He wants out, but his boss is blackmailing him with his brother's life.
Brooklyn is a scientist that has quite possibly come up with the cure for cancer. And it's about to get her killed. And oh yeah, she is also the President's daughter!
I do not have the words to do this story justice, other than to say you absolutely must read it! You won't be disappointed!

Having read and enjoyed many books by Kelly Moore, I was eager to give this book written with K. B. Andrews a try! What started out as a one night stand, ended up saving Brooklyn's life and changing it forever. This was a great read that had so many twists that I simply couldn't put the book down. Plenty of romance, action and suspense, this book had it all. Simply put, a very enjoyable read and I look forward to more from this writing duo.

John is a hitman that only has one night stands with women. He has a one night stand with a beautiful woman who leaves him a note the next morning signed B. He gets a contract to kill the President's daughter who has come up with a cure for cancer. The woman's name is Brooklyn and when he sees the picture, it is the last woman he had a one night stand with and couldn't get out of his head. He tells his boss Miles that he won't do it. Miles reminds him that if he doesn't do it, John's twin brother Jake will die. John calls his brother who has cancer and tells him to get to the safe house now as things are going down hill so that Jake needs to hide. John proceeds to save Brooklyn from another sniper and they go on the run.
This was an exciting action book. Believe me, once you start reading you will not want to put the book down. People you think are bad are not always the bad guys, and people you think are good may not really be good. It is hard to know who to trust. John was such a good guy even though he killed people. He only took hits for bad people, no innocents or woman. He tries to help Brooklyn and thus millions of others because of the cancer cure. Unfortunately there are many greedy people, and power hungry people in the world. I may not like how everything happened in the book, but it was a great story. I laughed and cried in the book. I strongly encourage you to read the book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book.

John is a handsome, sexy hitman that spots a woman in a bar one night and takes her home. Not being able to get her off of his mind, he's shocked when he's called in for a new assignment and sees her picture sitting there in front of him. Even worse, Brooklyn is the President's daughter and has discovered a cure for cancer. Brooklyn wanted a night away from everything when she was in the bar, wearing a wig, and met John. Never expecting to see him again, she's shocked to learn that he's found her and rather than kill her, wants to protect her.
Let me say that the chemistry between John and Brooklyn was instant. But after their one night together, everything after that is a roller coaster ride of running, hiding, and trying to stay alive. On top of getting away from the bad guys, they are also trying to get to John's twin brother, Jake, as well as, keep her father - the President of the United States - up to speed on what's going on. There are numerous twists and turns in this novel where one minute you think things are o.k., then they go bad, then it looks up again, only to have another obstacle in their way.
I've read a few co-written novels and love how two authors can construct a story that you would never think was co-written. I must admit that before reading Taking Down Brooklyn, I was expecting to be able to tell what Kelly wrote and what K.B. wrote. I have read so many of their novels I thought I could figure out which author wrote which chapters, however, I was proven very wrong. Already fantastic authors on their own, they created a perfectly suspenseful and exciting novel together without any shifts in style or voice. The writing is flawless, the characters are interesting and complex, and the imagery used will make you feel as if you are a part of the story. This book is full of romance, hope, regrets, action, and love. There are happy moments and sad moments, but it is absolutely jam-packed with non-stop action.
I feel as if I haven't said a lot about the overall plot, but I am trying to avoid spoilers at all costs! Taking Down Brooklyn has fantastic characters and numerous surprising moments that I could not believe. Romance fans that like a dash of thriller/crime fiction will devour this one. Be prepared to fall in love with John as you follow along on this wild ride!

Have lots of tissues ready because you're going to need them!
I have read books by Kelly Moore and K.B. Andrews before, so I figured there would probably be some suspense and romance in this story. I was totally unprepared for all the feels this book gave me. From the first page, I was sucked in, and I found it nearly impossible to put down. Just when I thought I had it figured out, Kelly and K.B. threw another curve ball, and I was left guessing again.
John is a hitman, a very skilled one at that. Once he is assigned a target, you can bet he'll get the job done without anyone finding out he was involved. He stays away from relationships because he doesn't want to be attached to anyone. That all changes when he sees an attractive woman at a bar. She's somewhat of a celebrity, but he doesn't know that, especially since she won't tell him her name. John takes her home for a rendezvous, never intending on seeing her again. The next day, John is assigned to carry out his next hit. When he is shown the photo of his target, he immediately recognizes the face. It's the face of his one night stand, who just happens to be Brooklyn Warren, daughter of the President of the United States.
What follows is a story packed full of suspense, action, passion, intrigue, mystery, hope, fear, and heartache. I told you to have the tissues ready!

What a book! I couldn't put this one down. I had to know what was going to happen & how they were going to make turn out ok. The characters were very natural & I loved their bantering.

Happy, but not; flabbergasted, but enjoyed a writer's version of "fast and furious" via motorcycles. What a ride! First, thanks to Kelly Moore and K.B. Andrews for a great suspenseful journey woven through a web of government and "big business" politics, war waged against threats to human life seen and unseen as seen through the filter of a great love of family and a fierce, hot romance. I ❤John and Brooklyn--second book you wrote that made me cry! l loved these kick-ass characters. I am calling this a good read! Now I think I need a bourbon NEAT(John favorite drink)! --g

Brooklyn Warren is The President's daughter but she's so much more than that. She likes to live off the grid sometimes so she can truly be herself and I absolutely loved that about her. She is about to change the world forever... But there are people that would do anything to stop her.

An action packed story with lots of danger and romance. Brooklyn is the President;s daughter and has discovered the cure for cancer. Now the pharmaceutical companies are after her. John is a hitman who;s been given the job of taking her out. But he has morals and will not kill an innocent woman who is going to save millions of lives. He goes to her address and sets himself up to take out the other hitmen that will be sent. That;s when he sees Brooklyn on a motorcycle and in leather. He recognized her earlier in a photo as the one night stand he had. Now he;s got her and is trying to get her somewhere safe to keep her alive. Then she tells him she needs her vials of the cure. John calls his brother Jake to get to the safe house as fast as he can and to be aware that he may be followed. Eventually they all wind up at the safe house. How to keep Brooklyn safe, his brother alive. Now the real danger and action begins.
WOW!!!! This story will get your heart racing and keep it there till the last page.

I love Kelly's writing. This book she co-wrote with K.B. Andrews had me on the seat of my pants throughout. It's fast-paced and keeps you wanting to know more. John is a hitman with a heart. Brooklyn is the President's free spirit, brilliant daughter. From a one night stand or so they thought, their lives become intwined. After their night together John is told his next assignment is Brooklyn. Knowing she's innocent he's decided he will go against his boss to keep her safe. John and Brook have chemistry and love that sizzles off the pages, all while they are on the run. Their story is one of suspense, twist and turns that you won't even see coming, and lots of love. Your heart will be on an roller-coaster that has you laughing and crying for John, Brooklyn and their families. These characters will forever live in my heart!

When he realizes she's his hit, he'll do anything he can to stop it from happening--he's a killer, but he has morals, ones he's intent on upholding. And let's face it--Brooklyn is everything he never knew he ever wanted.
Fast-paced, loaded with action, and filled with steam, Taking Down Brooklyn will leave you panting and wanting more. In fact, I daresay you'll invent an additional story in your mind after completing the book just to continue the experience! I know I did!
I read the entire book in one sitting and demanded more!

I loved this character and the plot! Characters are full, very human and react like we would.
The plot is very fast paced, the situation turns upside down a lot of times and I loved it, that made me excited during reading. The plot was interesting and logical.
Characters were captivating as always when we think about K.A. and Kelly separately. Brooklyn is a young woman that is intelligent, fierce and can take care of herself. I really enjoyed her not being a normal damsel in distress. John is a hitman that was supposed to kill her, but what will happen when he will start protecting her instead of killing her? For sure feelings will be blown be the situation.
At the end, I was in the mood for crying, but I was also glad that there was something different about this ending.

Wow, I couldn't out this fantastic story with great characters, romance and intrigue. John was a human and was given a hit to do on the President's daughter who had invented a cure for cancer. The big drug companies wanted to kill her to prevent it causing them to lose billions. John had spent the night with her the previous night and couldn't kill her. They went on the run and got his brother who had cancer cured. They kept running and being found. There was so much intrigue I couldn't put it down. The ending was sad. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

With some books I don't like the beginning I want characters that I know things that are familiar. However everyone I read a Kelly Moore book I am sucked into the story straight away and this book was no different.
A hot guy that can take down people no matter what they are doing to him. A hot chick who doesn't take orders and can ride a bike just as well as he can. Add a dash of morals. A pinch of sex and you have this book.
Unputdownable right to the end. Warning you'll need some tissues at the end.

So I was pretty much ready to rage with the way this book ended … only to find out that there is a sequel lol. Still I won’t be reading that one, because while I love the idea of the story - can you imagine a cure for cancer being found?! -, I couldn’t really connect with the characters. They are pretty much forgettable to me sadly. And are there any more boring names than John (male lead) or Jake (his brother)? 🙈 And the sex. There’s plenty of it. Though I had much preferred quality - a couple descriptive scenes - over quantity here - several scenes that were dealt with after less than one page each. All in all a great storyline idea where I simply expected … more I guess.

Wow this is a very fast paced and action packed book, I love how fiery and stubborn Brooklyn is as well as how John feels he doesn't deserve a good life because he is a hit man but he does so much for those he loves. This was an emotional rollers coast with plenty of twists that had me hanging on every word and had no idea what would happen next. They way the chapters went back a bit blended really well and gave you the full story so you really could picture everything. I have to admit there were almost tears at the end and can not wait to read the next in the series!

This is a well written book with an intriguing story line. The characters are strong and well developed and the story moves quickly and smoothly. The authors do a fantastic job grabbing and holding you fast in this action packed romance. They bring drama and suspense and tons of emotions to Brooklyn and John's story. It's an intense ,suspenseful story and in my opinion,a must read! I loved this book and would highly recommend reading!

Brooklyn and John take us on a wild ride of survival. This action packed story will have you on the edge of your seat as John tries to keep Brooklyn safe. These two are perfect for each other. They love without reservation and they love deeply. I feel like my heart almost stopped quite a few times while reading this book. I loved reading this story this book and I cannot wait to read the next part in this story.

I loved the characters and the plot of this book. I enjoyed reading the book a lot as it’s fast paced and this throws you through a lot of ups and downs. Brooklyn is a interesting and intelligent young women who is fierce and can take care of herself. I loved the fact that she is a women we can take care of herself and John is the man who is supposed to kill her. He is a hit but what will happen who he starts protecting her instead and why.

Taking Down Brooklyn is an intense read full of emotion and it captivated me from the beginning until the end. I love reading books with women who are not only beautiful but strong and intelligent as well. The connection and chemistry between John and Brooklyn is fiery and off the charts. They are perfect together and bring out the best in each other. A well written book, believable characters and a great storyline make this a 5 star must read. Kelly Moore and K.B. Andrews did a fabulous job of incorporating drama, suspense, and twist in this story that kept me wanting more! (I've read it twice 😘) The characters have great depth and the vivid descriptions bring the story to life within the reads imagination. I loved how they used government and politics (corrupt individuals) to put their own unique spin.

A fresh new read for me, I devoured this book. Fast paced, full of action, suspense and love.
Brooklyn has the cure for cancer, but other pharmaceuticals don't want her to release it due to the fact that they could loose millions of dollars. Deciding to put a hit on her was their solution. They just didn't expect the hitman to need her cure for his brother or that he would fall in love with her. This didn't end the way I expected it to. Id love to see a sequel with this story continuing.

I adore Kelly Moore's book - I think she's one of our best authors. Taking Down Brooklyn (love the title) is fantastic! This story is about Brooklyn (love her name) and John. This book is full of mystery, suspense, action, romance. John is a hit man and his target is Brooklyn. Brooklyn discovered a cure for cancer. He took her back home and now he can't get her out of his mind. This book is compelling and complicated I could not put it down. Yay Kelly - another home run! ❤️

This book is so good! The beginning of the book draws you in and the action in the story continues to intrigue you. I love that there is so much action in the story, it almost makes you feel like you're watching a movie. Taking down Brooklyn is one of those hard to put down books. I'm excited and ready to start on book 2.

Wow, oh wow! I was pulled right in from the beginning! John had so much of everything that makes a man incredible. He was exactly how you want a man to be when it comes to saving you, strong and resourceful, as well as passionate and driven. He was meant to take her out but oh how things change! I loved this story so much. The ending.....well I'll let you read it and find out!
