I am beginning to like these short to rise more than the series. The four men characters remain together and interact with each other better. The series though really good tends to add new characters and split the party. Either why great juvenile humor mixed with “Dungeons and Dragons.”

Funny short stories about the chicken hut gang
😂more fun short stories about those 4 lovable messed up characters from our world trapped in the C and C (D and D parody) world
I keep wondering though, what if that world could be "real" (in the storyline/plotline) and somehow Mordred just got to take it over whenever he got a hold of those magic dice of his (from whoever had them in the first place... I mean, I just can't see Mordred as the source of the magic dice) and then he got to remake the C and C world (Delgar) however he wanted it to be?🤔 Sorta like how the ancient Mesopotamians had their myths about the "mes" (sorta like some tablets or stones of Destiny/Control-of-Fate kinda thingies)... Maybe Mordred's magic dice are like the "mes"? 🤔 Or maybe the deities from the cnc world deliberately brought the chicken hut gang from Gulfport Mississippi so they would no longer be beholden to Mordred and his dice?🤔
😎The plot thickens!🤓😂at least in my mind that has Way too much free time to conjure up these ideas.😊fun times all around

February 6, 2020Robert Bevan's Critical Failures series is just fun reading. I guess it qualifies as a LitRPg since it's real people that suddenly find themselves in the fantasy game that they were playing for real. The d6 is the series of books that puts all of Bevan's short stories of the characters in one book. If you like fantasy and are not turned off too much by vulgar humor, Bevan's books are worth checking out. If you are offended by vulgar humor, RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!! That being said, it's not just vulgar humor, the stories are actually done very well and make for good fantasy reading even without the humor.

Belly laughs a plenty!
I love reading these books. I can’t help but laugh out loud at the antics of the C&C gang. Coopers jokes about Dave’s mom never cease to make me giggle. These little side-quest stories keep me going until the next full length book comes out. Thanks for creating a world where nothing has to be taken too seriously.

Entertaining fantasy world listening 🎉🌙

I listened to these individually. Each story is different with interesting characters lots of action, misdirection, and some violence leading to each conclusion. 🙃
I would highly recommend this series and author to readers of fantasy world 🌐 adventure thriller novels 😉😯 2025 👀😎

An irreverent romp as always. The humor is not everyone's cup of tea but it makes me snort out loud :)
