Rose has found where she thinks she belongs. A new beginning and realizing what can happen at a moments notice. After being in the hands of the Huns her life has finally calmed down and she marries her love. Only life is about to change drastically for her. War and death are always the companions in her world. In the wings is a love waiting that she never expected, would she live to find it? Gilbert Wolf the Shaman on the next ranch has had a vision of what part of her future will be and that of those around her. He dares not reveal any of it.
Book two of After the Dying Time. The story picks up not too long after the first book. Rose and Alan are happily married and the rest of the ranches are moving along with their lives. Gray is growing in spirit and worth. He truly appreciates life and the people who have adopted him. His only regret is the loss of Rose to Alan. Rose had still not fully forgiving Gray's actions as a former member of the Hun's and her capture. Gilbert is continuing to have several visions that assisted the ranchers, but there are a few details he keeps to himself and watches as they play out.
A wonderful continuation of Rose, Alan, and Gray's stories. I love these families that banded together to survive and thrive after such a difficult disease ran rampant through the world. We also get to read about other bands of survivors, wildlife attacks, and pillagers.
