She’s running from burnout. He’s hiding from the world. Fate—and a few wild wolves—have other plans.
Anne thought a flower delivery gig would be a quiet way to clear her head after law school nearly broke her. That is, until a pack of wolves chases her deep into the woods—and straight into the arms of a brooding, six-foot-something orc with calloused hands and a heart he swears he doesn’t have.
Urk likes his solitude, his woodcarving, and his routine. He definitely doesn’t like the too-curious human woman who crashes into his life, wrecks his peace, and cooks like she’s trying to seduce him with cinnamon.
But when sparks fly and secrets surface, Anne and Urk will have to decide if they’re willing to fight for a future neither of them planned—especially when desire threatens to burn down all their carefully built walls.
Rescued by the Grumpy Orc is a grumpy-sunshine, steamy small-town fantasy romance, perfect for fans of monster love, cozy cabins, and cinnamon rolls—literal and otherwise.
This was a quick open door instalove romance set in the small town of Moonfang Haven and is the introduction of a series of standalone stories between human women and the orcs they fall in love with. This story is about Anne and Urk and I enjoyed getting to know the two of them. The epilogue at the end was also fun and gave readers a peak into their lives six months later.

I found this story good, but some smaller parts are a bit boring to me, because of too much bedroom stories. I would not mind reading more in this series.
