His Undercover Princess is book one in the Tempt Me series by Avery Flynn. I haven’t read one of her books in ages but have loved the ones I’ve read. I discovered the two books in this series were offered on Kindle Unlimited so I jumped on it. I am so glad I did because this book was fantastic. I was grabbed by the first page and it never let go until the end!

Elle Olsen in reality is Princess Eloise, the only heir to the throne in her little island country of Elskov, a tiny island situated between Norway and Scotland. When Elle was seventeen years old, there was an attack on the castle by the Fjende, a rebel group trying to take over the country. After seeing her father killed, she was spirited away by loyal survivors and left to fend for herself in America. For ten years Elle has hidden in plain site. She is the head stylist at a high end department store.

Dominick (Dom) Rasmussen is known as one of the world’s most eligible bachelors, rich beyond belief and a well known playboy. Little did anyone know that he was in reality, second in command of the resistance, fighting for the true ruler of Elskov to be returned to the throne, whether she wants to or not.

Elle never saw Dom coming when he kidnapped her and told her it was time to return to her country and become queen. She wants nothing to do with the country that caused her to lose her father and abandoned her. But what neither Elle nor Dom planned on was the electric attraction between them.

This was so good! Dom was a dirty talking hero that Elle couldn’t resist. Maybe Elle can just enjoy him for a couple of days before she escapes because she is determined that she will not return to Elskov. As the connection between them deepens, both Elle and Dom are forced to choose between their loyalty to their country or love.

“Dom had never wanted any woman as much as he wanted Elle. The woman didn’t just undo him, she put him back together again.”

Now I can’t wait to read the other book in the series, Her Enemy Protector, which is Elskov’s secret agent, Lucas Bendsten’s book.

5 - "I will always come for you." Stars!

There is nothing I like more than a healthy dose of fiction with my fiction. And Avery Flynn delivered that perfectly with His Undercover Princess. Fictional country, Fictional Monarchy, and fictional everything else!

The one thing that always draws me into this authors stories is that she always gives good character. Elle and Dom were both really likeable, and although one a Royal and the other a Commoner (albeit a Billionaire one), they both gave each other as good as they got. Elle was sassy, snarky and confident in herself, and Dom took all of that from her and still managed to turn her into a quivering, turned-on mess, and I loved the author’s telling of their story.

"If you had been on my hit list… you’d have been dead before you even got to ask my inseam."

Elle has been living incognito in the US for the last decade, a coup in her home country of Elskov killed all of her family, and her only chance of survival was to flee. Now the threat has returned and resistance fighter in private and Billionaire Bachelor in public Dom Rasmussen is her kidnapper/bodyguard for the foreseeable, while a workable solution to getting her back on the throne is planned out.

Being a queen wasn’t a choice, it was her destiny, her duty, but it wasn’t all she was.

Dominant and dirty mouthed Dom, was exactly the right balance of sexy alpha that I like, he took Elle’s strengths and used them to get her exactly where he wanted her, in the bedroom and pretty much elsewhere too. And when the bad-guys stepped into the picture, he turned into a gun-toting, fighting-dirty-to-get-back-his-girl-badass!

Never trust anyone…

His Undercover Princess, is pure romantic escapism, with a little excitement thrown in for good reading measure. Avery has also set up the series well, in that the Epilogue gave us a look into the mind of Major Lucas Bendtsen, head of Elskov’s Silver Knights, the Elite Royal protection guard, and a little look into the potential story we will hopefully get for him next, in that it involves the mob, a possible threat to the throne and an elusive jewellery designer/thief. Bring it on! The first book in the Tempt Me series was a temptation I couldn’t refuse, I am expecting following titles to be just as enticing.

I don't think we ever tire of princess stories even as adults. So when I got a chance to review a modern day story about a princess, how could I resist?

This Book starts out with a bang never lets up until the last word. Fast paced, sexy as hell romance that is perfect for a mid-afternoon break or a late night reading fest.

The author introduces us to Dom and he is one that you soon won't forget. We also meet the princess Elle. Feisty, take no crap chick who has big secret to hide. But one look at Dom and all bets are off. It's insta-love, baby.

This author knows how to grab you and suck you in to the story. Loaded with plenty of action, lots of hot, hot sex and romance, this very fast paced story comes with no slow spots.

This book is an exciting fun read that offers a sexy male lead and one feisty princess that you're going to enjoy meeting. I just wish it was longer!

I'm just sitting her with a cheesy grin on my face after finishing this. It really stuck a cord with me. There isn't one thing I would change about it.

Elle Olsen is living in hiding. She is really Princess Eloise from this small Nordic country called Elskov. One day, she is kidnapped by this gorgeous millionaire who is really the second in command of The Resistance, a group tasked with restoring Princess Eloise to her throne. The chemistry between Dom and Elle is off the charts! Both of them are strong and I LOVED Elle. She was brave and strong and didn't take crap from anyone, including the leader of the group who killed her family and sent her into hiding.

I felt this was very much a combo of Princess Diaries and and James Bond movie. And it worked fabulously! The epilogue gave us a teaser into Major Bendtsen's near future. I'm hoping I got this right meaning there will be more with these characters. I'll snap that book up in a heartbeat!

'His Undercover Princess' by Avery Flynn is the story of Elle Olsen and Dominick Rasmussen.
Elle has been hiding for a long time after and now thinks she has to change hiding spots. But before she can do that she is taken by Dominick.... who besides being one of the riches men, he is a secret resistance fighter who is trying to restore the monarch.
How can you not like a Princess and a man fighting to keep her safe....enough said.

First things first ... this is a very light fantastical read. Meaning it is fantasy in its purest form. And it is very well done. I read a review by someone in passing that described the book as "fiction within fiction" and they couldn't be more correct. But it wasn't silly or whimsical or even boring. It was just really good fiction.

As you've gathered from the blurb and possibly other reviews, the gist here is we have a Princess who's been hiding for a decade because someone murdered her entire family before her eyes and the man who is determined to bring her back to her country so she may take her rightful place on the throne ...

These two are just enough sexy and entertaining to keep you turning the pages. I can't really say that the story itself is what kept me going, but Elle and Dom did. They had spark and I was thoroughly entertained by them till the very end.

I would definitely recommend this for a rainy afternoon read :)

Elle has been in hiding for ten years. Her real name is Eloise, as in Princess Eloise. Her father, the king, gave his life for their country and his murderer hasn't been found. As the deadline for Elle to take the throne approaches, she has no idea how much danger she's in, how close the enemy is.

Dominick knows though as he, and the Resistance, have watched over her from afar for years. Dom is the second-in-command and has recently made contact with Elle as they're running out of time.

Dom and Elle make contact all right. As, in their heads at least, she isn't technically the queen yet, so they can take this one night for themselves and give into the attraction and indulge in some much needed stress relief. *eye waggle* Unfortunately as Elle verbalizes her view on what it will mean, Dom doesn't feel the same. Yes, he may only indulge in one night stands, as does Elle, but her attitude bothers him for some reason. *well now the mood is gone*

Is Elle's sudden acceptance of the plan an act or is she ready to become queen? Can Dom and the Resistance protect her? Will Dom see her as Elle and not a mission or the future queen? Will Elle safely take her throne and help her people, her country, as she was always expected to? What secret is Dom keeping from Elle that could destroy her growing feelings for him? Will Dom and Elle take a chance on the connection between them and see if they have a future together? Can Elle, as queen, be with Dom, someone not of royal lineage? Will Dom and Elle let that stop them?

One-click on this cute story now and find out all these answers and more. I have to say I'm also intrigued by the sneak peek we got of the next book in the epilogue and I definitely plan on reading that story as well. I have a feeling it'll be just as entertaining as this book was.

Elle has been living incognito for a decade after witnessing her entire family being massacred in coup. She's really Princess Eloise and should be the queen of the Nordic island kingdom of Elskov which she used to call home but, after escaping to America, she's made an alternative life for herself as a stylist. However, she's never felt safe and never let anyone get too close. She's been alone and lonely but still hadn't anticipated being kidnapped by a notorious billionaire, Dominick Rasussen, or discovering that he's a high up member of the revolutionaries planning to reinstate the monarchy, with Elle as their Queen! As distracting as their mutual attraction is, they still never envisaged the drama, including more kidnapping and explosions, that were about to happen, changing both their lives forever . . .

This is a steamy, hot paced romance with plenty of other action, too. It is a story of loneliness, coping with a decade of abandonment, secrets and danger. Although Princess Eloise is one feisty young royal, Dominick is no Prince Charming! He's one sexy, determined billionaire trying to resist their mutual attraction whilst fighting to ensure she is safe and able to resume her rightful role in their island community. The dramatic ending maintains the all action nature of the whole novel and hints to possible scenarios for at least one other book in this series - and I'll certainly be looking out for their release.

Many thanks to the publishers for gifting me a copy of this novel via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.

Elle has been living in fear ever since she was forced to flee her country after her father was brutally assassinated. Now she's all alone in new place trying to survive. Fast forward years later, and she has adapted to her new life pretty well, even though she lives in constant fear of someone, mainly her father's enemies, figuring out who she really is. For that reason, she' keeps people at a distance and always stays alert. Which is why when a new client, Dominick Rasmussen, started to make her feel things she hadn't felt for anyone before, kidnapped her, she was surprised and very disappointed that she hadn't seen him coming for her until it was to late. Now Elle has to figure out if Dominick is her worst fear come to life, or if he's her dream come true.
What originally drew me to this book was the title. I wanted to read about a Princess who instead of needing to be saved, could pretty much save herself. Well Elle definitely proved she could hold her own. With a little help she could rule her world. The chemistry between Elle and her white night, Dominick, was just icing on the cake to a very well written story. They both have a duty to uphold which would undoubtedly make it hard for their budding romance, but who says that they can't have it all, and what if anything are they willing to give up to be together. This was a great story from beginning to end with action, drama, and lots of passion. I give it 4 stars!

Elle Olsen is living her life as a stylist. But what the readers finds out is she is really next in line for the throne of her home country...she is set to be Queen. However, the plot completely thickens when we find out WHY she is not next in line, which kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what twist would happen next (and there were many throughout!).

Dominick Rasmussen was sent to retrieve the Princess by any means possible. Even through her ten years of trying to be sage and stay "hidden", Dom has watched her daily, knowing her every move. From the beginning of his watchful vigil, he knew there was something about her that he wanted to know more about, to know personally...but knowing she is to be his Queen is always at the front of his mind, and he KNOWS she should be off limits.

I loved the plot of this book. The chemistry between Dom and Elle is undeniable from the first line in the first page of this read. The undeniable obligation, for both characters, is in every flip of the page, every word we read. Watching the two battle within themselves kept me hooked throughout this modern day fairy tale.

Kitty 3 stars
I am still a little bit up in the air with His Undercover Princess. It was interesting but predictable. Avery Flynn kept the story moving and had a little bit of just about everything you would want in a story … sizzling sex, instant attraction, a mystery and a hot man. I’m still not sure why it didn’t totally draw me in like I thought it would because I love Avery Flynn. But, I feel like there was just a little something missing.

Dominick Rasmussen was an anomaly to me. First he’s a high-power billionaire playboy and next he is the 2nd in command in the Resistance with Eloise his future queen. He went from wanting her to standing at attention and calling her “Your Highness”. Maybe that was the disconnect for me and the explanation as to why he is like this was just too little, too late for me to make the connection. But, he was hot and smooth. He had an interesting back-story and, in the end, gave into his feelings and followed his heart which totally redeemed me.

Ella was a totally different story. She was strong and strong-willed. She knew, deep down that there would come a time that the powers that be would find her. She tried to hide in plain sight and, when the kidnapping did happen, she was prepared for the worst. What she wasn’t prepared for was the man that kidnapped her and the reason behind it. When she finally gave in and agreed to do what he was asking of her, it was too late. The Fjende truly did find her.

There were several times in this book that I felt disconnected from the story and the characters. Yes, there was sexual attraction between them but it seemed, once they started, they didn’t stop and I felt that it was out of place. Also, Dom only had a week to prepare Elle for taking the crown back and ruling her country. I’m still not sure what he did to that end … he trained her in self-defense then they ended up in bed. Her father was also an enigma to me … his reasons for staying away from her didn’t make sense, he warns Dom away from her and then he goes to her and tells her to follow her heart. Everything just didn’t seem to flow together.

But, it’s Avery Flynn and I am a fan of her other works and was surprised that I didn’t absolutely love this story. The romance was well written but I wish there was a little more of it. The mystery aspect was intriguing and I enjoyed that. But, as I said in the beginning, something – to me – was missing. Please, this is only my opinion and you just may love this story and think I am crazy. But, I respect that and I respect Avery Flynn. I truly hope that this just wasn’t my cup of tea and you do adore this story.

Loved it. Need I say more? Well I'll be back with more after I read it again. Yes its that good, I'm going to read it again before it officially comes out.

I'm back with a full review and yes j read it again.

Avery Flynn kicks off her new series with His Under Cover Princess and in what is fast becoming her trademark style, the memorable first sentence. I was hooked and knew I was in for another winner.

This story was fun, hot, sassy, flirty, hot, a page tuner and have I mentioned how hot Dom is? Holy smokes. Think hot Viking in a suit.

I’m a huge fan of this author and when we get books like this one it’s easy to see why. I loved this story, loved it. From the sassy start to the OMG give me the next book soon ending, this book had it all.

You will totally fall for Dom and Elle. Their snark and sassiness towards each other was so much fun to read. They light up the page and keep you glued as they fight their attraction as they fight what they must do for their country.

Dom, the self-made billionaire and resistance fighter has been working to get Elle on the royal throne for ten long years and nothing will stop him from accomplishing this task, not even the instant attraction that flares up whenever they are in touching distance.

“You want me to beg.” Damn, how had her voice gotten that breathy and needy? “I want to make you so hot you won’t be able to make a coherent sound at all.”

Elle, or Eloise future queen has been in hiding since her father was killed ten years ago. She’s worked hard to make a new life for herself. Now she’s been kidnapped by her hot client and told she has to take the throne and lead her country. Pressure much?

When Dom and Elle are ensconced in his chateau things go from antagonistic to deliciously hot as the line between royalty and commoner is crossed. They aren’t allowed to be together, the princess and the ordinary guy, but can they find a loophole and find a way or will Dom just walk away.

“He’d flirted. She’d teased. He’d kidnapped her. She’d shot at him and tried to knee him in the balls. It wasn’t exactly relationship starter material, but that wasn’t a possibility for them anyway.”

I’m a sucker for a HEA and we get goofy grin inducing one in this book. I may have even let out a whoop or two for what Elle does to get her man back. I’ll leave it there but its soooo damn good. I can’t wait for the next book in the series, I have a feeling it’s going to be a blast.

I had a little trouble getting into this book initially but about 1/3 in I was able to latch on. I'm all for instant attraction but the main characters' chemistry may have been a bit too blatant for me to digest at first because "hey! you don't know this guy from Adam" kept screaming in my head. But as you get to know a bit more about Dom's side of the story I could understand that even if Elle didn't know Dom, he did know her quite intimately. And since Elle had trained herself to keep herself emotionally distant jumping the bones of any guy she found attractive and accessible eventually made sense. And the ending.... the fairytale princess ending was quite the sprinkles on top of this gooey hot fudge sundae of a story.

Dom's presence is one of an alpha male, the way he acts, walks, and speaks, “not Mr. Rasmussen. Call me Dom. I really think we should be on a first-name basis, since you know that I strip off my suit every night and get into bed wearing nothing at all.” Dom is not a bashful man, "he was in boxer briefs— and only boxer briefs— that left absolutely nothing to the imagination. If she’d been wearing panties they would have been toast. “You going to stand there and ogle my ***, or are you going to help me figure out how in the hell this thing works?” He pointed at the toaster oven." I enjoyed this book I liked Dom.

Badass princess hiding out from the people who overthrew her father, and handsome billionaire royalist determined on bringing the royals back on throne.

I had higher expectations, the girl fell in love too quickly. From my experience in the romance genre there isn't much strength in their relationship.Sure, they survived an attack together, but they didn't have a crisis in their personal relationship which brought them together.

This isn't interesting me enough to read the next in the series.

I love Royal stories, especially if it is action packed and loaded with sizzling chemistry between the main characters such as this one. The author did a fine job in making this a believable story with some twists and turns that are superbly packed in a relatively short book. I recommend this one.

This was a really fun royal bodyguard romance! I've been dying to get my hands on books with this kind of trope, and this was a great one. The romance wasn't the strongest to me, I felt like they fell in love in a blink of an eye and I didn't fully see the development, but overall, it was just a really fun and enjoyable read, and it's really steamy as well. So I do recommend it if you love the bodyguard trope and royal romances!

Fun little audio read. It was a nice story, a bit too insta lovey for my tastes (they know each other before the story begins but it’s a short read and we never really do get the sense they actually do), but nothing cringey, good smut, would recommend. The ending was a bit much but hey, who am I to judge? I enjoyed this book.

Quick & Dirty summary: Elle Olsen has been hiding out for her entire adult life. After her father is killed in front of her, the rest of her family slain in a coup, Elle is dropped off in a new country with a new identity with no new friends to help her. She’s managed to figure life out, working as a personal shopper, but she’s not as prepared as she thinks when billionaire playboy Dominick Rasmussen kidnaps her in the blink of an eye. Dominick will stop at nothing to see Princess Eloise take her rightful place on the thrown, but Elle cannot forget what serving her country has cost her—everything.

The major themes of this novel include loyalty, responsibility, and self-sacrifice. It’s probably for those reasons that I like it as much as I do. It’s not often that I read novels revolving around those values and I miss those stalwart characters. I am also a huge fan of Audrey Hepburn, so the not-so-brief references to her in the novel make me smile.

Elle is characterized as a smart, strong woman who is largely self-sufficient and stubborn. Dominick has a reputation of a playboy that is only mentioned because it happens off-page, with a mysterious past. I’d like to say that these characters develop further, but what you see is what you get. Although Elle changes her mind mid-novel, she doesn’t actually change as a character. And while Dominick’s painful past is revealed, he remains the sexy, duty-bound second-in-command.

I would have loved this book more had there been more of a transition between Elle’s stubborn refusals to assume the thrown and watching Roman Holiday. I understand the movie drives the last half of the novel (or maybe the whole novel), but her interest in staying with Dominick is never really described beyond the chemistry. Perhaps if the novel was longer, Flynn would have had a chance to provide more scenes where some of the tension is broken with laughter or common interest.

Overall, though, this is a fun novel to read. There is lots of excitement and action for such a short book. And the whole idea of a modern day princess who can bestow gifts and titles to her followers is pretty cool. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

Is it worth buying? (Kindle $2.99)

It’s only 147 pages, which would normally make me cringe at this price. But, I love the Audrey Hepburn connection and the devotion to duty-thing, so I’m going to say yes. Yes you should buy it.

Something else you might enjoy:

I thought long and hard about this one. I know there are a number of historical romance novels that would follow a similar storyline, but I’m not as current on my historical romances as I have been in the past. So I’m going to go in a different direction and offer you two recommendations that couldn’t be more different. First, there’s Catherine Bybee’s Wife by Wednesday. It’s a contemporary romance where the guy is an aristocrat who must marry in order to save his legacy. Then there’s Kristen Ashley’s With Everything I Am. It’s the second in three book paranormal romance series. The hero is the king of the werewolves and the heroine has been in hiding due to her special abilities. I think you can see why I recommended these two, depending on what type of mood you’re in at the time.

A fairy tale princess romance that is smokin' hot, riveting and spine-tingling!

“Everything is going to be okay, Princess Eloise," he whispered against her ear. "I promise."
But it wouldn't. She knew better than to ever trust a man who promised happy endings in the middle of a kidnapping.”

HIS UNDERCOVER PRINCESS by Avery Flynn is as spicy read in which the tables turn on both primary characters. Readers can expect multiple kidnappings, thrilling suspense, dangerous political shenanigans, mysterious twists-and-turns galore and panty-melting steamy sex scenes! I was initially drawn to the book as I'm a fan of princess tales. However, don't get the idea that this tale is akin to those of the Disney princesses; It's definitely on the hot side with lots of action and excitement.

This is the story of high-end personal shopper Elle Olsen and suave Elskovian Resistance fighter Dominick Rasmussen. Ellie Olsen is not who she has purported to be while in hiding for ten years. In reality, she is Princess Eloise, heir to the Elskovian throne. As the story opens, she is in the process of being smoothly kidnapped Mission-Impossible-style by Dom, an ultra-rich playboy, allegedly for her own protection. However, Dom's true goal as second in command in the Resistance is to place her back on the throne she was raised to rule. However, she has absolutely no intention of ever donning that tiara again. No! No! No! She blames her home country and its people for murdering her beloved father, the king. But, both the Resistance and the dastardly Fjende, who were responsible for the coup that ended in the death of her father and resulted in her need for her solitary sanctuary existence, have other ideas.

I really liked both Elle and Dom. Elle had schooled herself never to let anyone close. She'd had nothing but quickie relationships for a decade. I found their sweet and hot romance together with their juicy sex scenes to be fun and highly entertaining, the perfect combination to keep me glued to this book! Dom was a competent, determined straight-laced stud-muffin and I enjoyed watching Elle teach him how to let loose a bit. Neither were looking for a permanent relationship. With Elle being royal, it wasn't possible... or was it?

HIS UNDERCOVER PRINCESS is an irresistible page-turner! Make sure you have a fan nearby while reading it as you'll need it! I'm looking forward to more stories like this in Avery's Tempt Me series. Avery Flynn is one of my favorite authors and she certainly didn't disappoint with this read! I highly recommend HIS UNDERCOVER PRINCESS to anyone who likes their romances to be smokin' hot, riveting and spine-tingling!

Avery Flynn is wonderful writer and storyteller. I've ready many of her novels/novellas and have yet to be disappointed in any of them. Her portrayal of sassy heroines and cocky heroes and the paths they stumble down to their happily-ever-afters are wrought with humor, exasperation, some tears, but most of all - love; whether the characters are truly looking for love, or not. His Undercover Princess is no exception. This novel is beautiful, heart-wrenching, and full of surprises.

After her family was dethroned many years ago, Elle swore to never return to a land that allowed such barbaric behavior. Dropped off in America and forced into hiding, she's been pretty good a keeping her true identity a secret. When her cover is blown, Elle, a Princess-in-hiding, thinks her captors are the enemy. She has no intentions of being a captive even if the man who kidnapped her can soak her panties with one smoldering look. Dom, her hot captor, has other ideas regarding Elle and her rightful place and puts plans in motion that will put her in a position she doesn't desire.

What Elle does desire, though, is Dom. Knowing that nothing can come of a relationship after she ascends the throne as Queen, the unlikely couple make due with what little time they have -- and realize that's not enough for either of them. When Elle comes face-to-face with the enemy, decisions have to be made that neither want to make, and their fun ends. Loyalty to one's country leaves no room for love....

There is so much story packed into the 190 pages of His Undercover Princess. Be prepared to root for the home team, cry out at the unfairness, and squeal in delight as Elle and Dom butt heads, and occasionally their pelvises, melt in each other's arms, and plan to invade and take over Elle's childhood castle, placing her securely on the throne. Elle and Dom are wonderfully written characters with realistic qualities, emotions, and interactions. The chemistry between them is undeniable. I enjoyed Elle's smart mouth and capability to volley back and forth with Dom without coming across as rude or condescending. Dom knows he's met his match in Elle, making her acceptance of the throne even harder for him since, as a commoner, there is no place in her life for him.

The story is captivating and entertaining and I was engaged from the very beginning. I didn't want to put the book down. Avery Flynn has another masterpiece to add to her book collection and I'm certainly glad I have added His Undercover Princess to mine.

Content Warning: Hot, smoldering sex awaits you within the pages. 18 & older adults only.

His Undercover Princess was a quick read with a little bit of danger, a lot of sass from a reluctant royal, an alpha male who is used to getting his way, and a hot sexy romp of a battle of wills between them.

Elle was abandoned in a foreign country at age 17 with no ID, money or way of picking up the pieces after seeing her father murdered in front of her, and she has spent the last 10 years learning to survive while hiding any evidence of her former identity. When sexy billionaire Dom Rasmussen kidnaps her and is aware of her true identity, she realizes she is in more danger than she ever could have comprehended. The throwback to the Viking warriors in her ancestry is hell bent on restoring her to a throne she despises, and his name fits him all too well as his controlled dominating presence wreaks havoc on her peace of mind (and her undergarments).

Elle's tenacity, quick mind and challenging attitude push all the right buttons for Dom, but he can't let himself forget his duty or give into his baser urges with the spitfire who will be his queen when he finally has vengeance for his own familial losses in his sights. Easier said than done though! Elle may have been loved by her father but he put duty to country before his daughter one time too many in her opinion. She still carries some guilt over the way she acted in those final days but she has developed a hatred for the people of the country who she holds responsible for his death. To say that she is an unwilling savior is an understatement but Dom only has 5 days to convince her to claim her heritage.

This story started off at full throttle and didn't really let up at all. Once they give in to the chemistry between them, Dom and Elle find themselves falling fast and hard, but duty and tradition stare them.in the face and stand in opposition to any sort of life together. And since Dom knows a very important fact about her family that he has been forbidden to share, he stands to lose her trust if she finds out. Then all hell breaks loose around them and the race is on to save not only the throne but Elle's very life as well.

Ms. Flynn wrote an engaging modern day fairy tale with a little danger intertwined with the romance as the pages flew by. The next book in the series will focus on Dom's second in command and looks like it will feature equally intriguing characters... and another one is added to the TBR list!

Stylist Elle Olsen lives in fear of someone discovering her secret identity as Princess Eloise. But the men who killed her entire family in a bloody coup have done just that and now they’re coming for her. All Elle wants is to disappear into anonymity again, but the panty-melting billionaire who kidnaps her isn’t about to let that happen.

On the society pages, smoking hot financier Dominick Rasmussen is one of the world’s most eligible bachelors, but there’s more to him than meets the eye. As a secret resistance fighter, his one goal is to get Princess Eloise on the throne and restore the monarchy. The biggest problem? His stubborn and sexy undercover princess has no interest in ever wearing a tiara again.

Their goals couldn’t be more opposed, but neither Dom nor Elle can deny the attraction bringing them closer together. As the stakes rise and danger increases, they are forced to choose between love and country…

Review:

That ended way too soon! I want more of Elle and Dom!!

Great, sexy romance! There was a little bit of everything in this book, forbidden romance, undercover princess, sexiness, action, drama, kidnapping - you name it, it was wrapped up in this short package. Roman Holiday is one of my favorite movies and when they wrapped it into this story, I thought it was a perfect pairing and made sense for the story. I really did not want the story to end, I enjoyed Elle and Dom so much. I have read other books by Avery Flynn and each is fun and engaging to read, I know when I pick one up I will be satisfied.

You won't be disappointed with this romantic suspense story.

4Stars

Who doesn't love a story about a princess and a commoner?

This story offers a sexy and suspenseful take on that trope, with a princess who is rough around the edges and can hold her own. Elle is spunky and strong, and meets her match in the stubbornness department in Dom. The two of them start pushing each other's buttons from basically the beginning of the book and it just ramps up from there.

There is a good amount of suspense and intrigue in this, and the story is not necessarily the most original or deep, but still a lot of fun to watch unfold. There are some sweet moments between Elle and her countrymen, and the world of Elskov, the small Nordic island country is well-described. The tone of this story was perfect for its setting.

The romance felt a bit disconnected from the InstaLust, but it didn't bother me. Especially since the drama is light between the characters and focused primarily on the political aspects. It was even during the craziest action scene that I was sold on the two characters being meant to be.

Overall, this gave exactly as promised - an entertaining and sexy story of a hunted princess and a militant Resistance fighter. It's Han Solo & Princess Leia, but without the spaceships and aliens and A WHOLE LOT HOTTER!

I received an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review. This is no way influenced my review. My opinion is my own.
