From start to finish, Ranger Loyalty is fast-paced and intense, an intriguing book full of twists, notable characters, dedicated Rangers, and emotion. I enjoyed the complex story that kept me guessing. Olivia and Cole both had events from their pasts that kept them hesitant to give into love, but they also each had a strong faith and loving grandparents that nudged them in the right direction. I enjoyed reconnecting with other characters from the series (it’s like catching up with old friends), and had a hard time putting the novel down. I will now anxiously await for the next book!

This is such a great series with lots of drama and suspense. I really enjoy the characters as they work their way trough the situations coming at them. I like that they also depend on their faith and turn to prayer as they are battling their enemies.
This story focuses on Olivia Leighton who is a wedding planner. She is working on the wedding of Elijah Goodwin and Sienna Evans, characters from the last story. Olivia lost her fiance Aaron to anaphylactic shock when he was attacked by a swarm of bees. Aaron had gifted her the business that she now owned as a wedding present. Olivia has been growing the business since his death and has become quite well know in their area. Recently she has been receiving notes from someone who is stalking her. The police are aware of the situation but are keeping it quiet as they try to figure out who is threatening her.
Texas Ranger Cole Donnelly is a friend and co worker of Eli's and he is supposed to give a speech at the wedding reception. He sets up a time to meet with Olivia as she is helping him with his speech. Cole had no desire to marry after growing up watching the constant fighting between his parents. He lost both of them to a car accident the night they had another of their verbal arguments and his father lost control of the car. Cole blamed himself for their death because he screamed at them just before the accident and his father turned to yell at him.
The night Cole and Olivia are supposed to meet, her stalker tries to kidnap her. Cole rescues her from the man trying to drag her off into the woods. Cole had no idea she had been having problems with a stalker. After meeting with the police, Cole and Eli volunteer to help protect her and to work on discovering who is after her. The stalker's threats begin to escalate as Cole steps in to protect Olivia. As the names of potential suspects begins to be revealed the danger increases leading them to wonder if there is really more going on with the situation.
Cole wants to protect Olivia but he also must keep her at a distance as he begins to have feelings for her. Olivia hasn't sought a relationship since the death of her fiance but being around Cole is giving her those fluttery butterfly feelings in her stomach when he is around her.
Will the Texas Rangers be able to discover the stalker before Cole and Olivia suffer harm? Will Cole and Olivia face their growing feelings for one another as the situation is keeping them in forced proximity?

I haven't read the whole series, but I did read the previous book and it was good to see more of shared characters - though each is a completely standalone story. I loved Cole's willingness to put himself out for others, but it was made all the better by those who supported him - particularly his and Olivia's respective grandparents. And seeing him finally work through his baggage and come out willing to face life 'free' was great. All in all, an enjoyable read and I look forward to the next book in the series.

I am a huge fan of this series and this author. I read everything she has to offer. Every book in this series is action-packed with suspense and a budding romance. Each has a Texas Ranger hot on the trail of the criminal treating the innocents in these stories.
Olivia is a wedding planner who has a stalker who is getting bolder and bolder. When Cole comes to her rescue after the stalker's first brazen attack, he is determined to do everything he can to keep her safe. When the sparks start flying, Cole is determined to keep this platonic but he is intrigued by the strong woman that Olivia is. He might not be able to recover from the electricity sparking between them.
Olivia hasn't been interested in a romantic relationship since her fiance' died three years earlier. She is acquainted with Cole through some mutual friends but when he uses his skills as a Texas Ranger to provide her with protection when she is most vulnerable, she begins to see him as someone she can depend on with her safety and her heart.
This story is very suspenseful and romantic. Cole is tender and protective and willingly to stand between danger and the woman he is beginning to care for.

Ranger Loyalty is book 8 in the Texas Ranger Heroes series. It hooked me from the very beginning. There was adrenaline, intensity, emotion, and twists and turns that kept me guessing throughout. Olivia and Cole both have incidents from their past to keep them hesitant about acknowledging the chemistry between each other. As the danger escalates, it is hard for Olivia to keep her emotions in check. I love the characters in this series. I enjoy having familiar characters from the rest of the series appear throughout the books. They can be read as stand-alones but I recommend all of them. They are definitely worth reading!

She is wedding planner who has a stalker and as things escalate, Texas Ranger Cole Donnelly enters the picture. Cole and Olivia have known each other for years as family friends, but it is clear that someone is out to kill Olivia and will stop at nothing. This was a delightful story and I loved every minute of it. There was a perfect balance of meaningful dialogue, intrigue and action. I was kept guessing about the stalker and never quite knew what was going to happen next. Whilst part of a series and some previous characters make an appearance, this could very much be enjoyed as a standalone.
I really liked Olivia and Cole as a couple and enjoyed getting to know them. It was wonderful seeing them work through their challenges, as they strengthened their faith and found a forever kind of love.

Great series🤩🤩
I have enjoyed these series, and am glad to see that there's another book to be released soon, thank you Ms Shannon.
While there's the usual murder and mayhem I'm happy to see that there is no gore and graphic stuff in any of these books. And O! the joy of clean reading!!! No swear words, no bedroom scenes so I'm able to read without skipping paragraphs to avoid the silly stuff.
Thank you especially for the prayers seeded along the way, I have found myself praying for situations and people in my own life after reading fictional prayers in the books. You make spontaneous prayer a matter of course, which ought to be in real life.

A fast-moving romantic suspense. Heartbreaking back stories for the main characters. Will they be able to overcome their past to enjoy a future together? Also, will they both be alive? Someone is out to make certain that one or both of them end up dead. I have read only one other in this series. Not a requirement to read the entire series in order to enjoy them. They are fine as a standalone. Pleasant, but exciting Christian romantic suspense. Thanks to Booksprout for providing a copy. My review is voluntary.

This was a great Christian suspense romance book. I really like this author’s writing style. I kind of guessed who was behind the crimes, partially, but we aren’t told enough to know everything, which was more realistic and fun to try to figure out. I liked how the main male character grows and changes emotionally. It was well written. It stood alone without having to read the previous books but I enjoy all of the author’s work so whenever she publishes something new I usually read it regardless of it’s part of a series or not.

This is a well written book with strong characters in Olivia and Cole. The author does a great job developing the story and takes you into their lives with action, intrigue, twists and romance. She brings the story to life with her descriptive scenes and delivers a terrific fast paced read. Loved seeing some past characters.

Once again a brilliant, riveting and exciting romantic suspense from Ms Shannon. Cole tries to protect Olivia from her stalker as he and the team attempt to find out who is behind the attacks. There are virtually no clues but loads of red herrings along the way as the attacks intensify on them both. Will Cole allow his feelings for Olivia to bloom or will he give in to his usual fear? A definite cannot-put-it-down story from start to finish.

Another excellent installment in the Texas Ranger Heroes series! I’m satisfied with the story. The MCs were different enough from previous installments which made me want to get to know them. The plot was interesting and twisty enough to keep me guessing on who the actual villain was. There were a few typos, but they didn’t ruin the story for me. If you enjoy clean, inspirational, suspense romance, you might want to check it out.

I really liked Cole and Olivia together, there is a spark from the beginning and while being stalked isn't anyone idea of a good time it allows Cole and Olivia to get close where as they may never have gotten so close otherwise.
There is a good mix of romance, suspects and suspense as well as lovely characters.

YOU WILL LOSE SLEEP READING THIS BOOK!
I enjoyed every minute reading this book! Characters feel like you want to be your friends. The conversation s flow easy. The plot is unique and I was fooled several times thinking someone else was causing the problems. Suspense was well written.
I suggest you get several copies of this book and give as a gift for your friends so they can also enjoy it!

I really enjoyed the story of two people cautiously giving love another chance. Olivia is a wedding planner that lost her fiance. She starts getting messages from her stalker. Rollercoaster suspence
Olivia is being stalked and it's escalating. Cole is undercover as her bodyguard. Finding out the who, how and why kept me riveted to the pages. I loved how Cole started turning more to prayer and trust in God, even though his childhood made it almost impossible to trust that real lifelong love was possible. Both Cole and Olivia were willing to give their own life to protect the other, and that is what true love is.

This is a great story fraught with danger. The tension between Cole and Olivia just adds to the story. You might be surprised at the ending too. I highly recommend reading this book just be prepared to stay up late to finish it.

well-rounded story and suspense?!
Really really enjoyed reading this clean Christian suspense storyline. The main characters were great and at times challenging but they both had depth. I enjoyed the side characters banter as well. Overall, shocker at the culprits added to it too. Can’t wait to read more!

Lynn Shannon did a great job keeping me guessing who was bad and who was good. I really couldn't figure it out. The Christianity in this book was awesome. I can't wait for the next one in this series but before it comes out I am going to reread all of the other books in "Texas Ranger Heroes".

Long involved mystery, happy ending
This book has a long mystery with lots of twists in it along with a romance between a lovely woman who had suffered loss and a reluctant Texas Ranger. There is a happy ending. I appreciate the way prayer and the Christian life are woven into the story.

I enjoyed seeing Olivia and Cole's relationship develop during such a stressful and dangerous time. I liked the strength shown in this, the strong relationships and the shared faith. I changed my mind a few times reading this about who was doing things and why, my attention was held throughout.
