Lightning isn’t the only thing streaking in small-town Wisconsin.
Warlock Raibeart MacGregor is on the prowl and looking for his true love. He has only one question for any lassie he meets, “Will ya marry me?” With his sanity often questioned by those who know him best, Raibeart believes there is a method to his madness. At least he hopes so. He’s convinced his true love exists, but he just can’t seem to find her.
Plagued by nightmares, he’s compelled to run himself to exhaustion each night to keep them at bay. The fact that he prefers to drop the kilt while doing so is just a bonus. But when those nightmares begin to bleed into reality, he realizes the woman he’s been searching for is literally the one tormenting his dreams.
Katherine Galbraith has been imprisoned by magick for so long that she can’t even remember what her crime was beyond the vague impression that she once loved a warlock. Bound to a world that never changes, she spends her days wishing for an end. But when prison walls begin to crack, she must decide if she wants a second chance at lost love or if that love is the reason for all her suffering.

She who has read the Warlocks MacGregor series from the first book has, by now, been more than used to "Crazy Uncle Raibeart" asking every woman to marry him... and many wishing that he would do the same to them.
But he said it before: he was doing it for a very specific reason. One that is explained at great length in this book, in which the (in)famous MacGregor streaker is shining bright, and not because of his usual nudity!
I was moved close to tears, I laughed my silly head off, I got so angry at someone, and I finished with a bright smile that refuses to fade.
Another one knocked out of the MacGregor mansion's roof by Michelle M. Pillow! Heck, I devoured the book in less than 24 hours, this should be telling enough!
And I love Raibeart even more now that I know his full backstory!
Raibeart and Katherine as sooo sweet - once they are able to remember reach other! Katherine is afraid to love and Raibeart adores her. This is simply where good battles evil and where true love triumphs. It is lovely that Raibeart finally finds his happily ever after - but there are a couple of (good) shocks along the way. This is a lovely, must-read book.
This one is literally filled with "gasp" moments! Katherine has been kept prisoner in a magic inescapable prison. Her crime? Loving a warlock. Centuries of waking up in the same place have passed and death is unattainable, she knows because, ,well, forever is a long time. The only thing that changes are the images in a mirror. As she watches everything from the life she knew pass into a strange future. Suddenly she sees something that has never been there before. A small crack in the wall. Raibeart has live many centuries. He's out for his nightly (naked) run. The only way to escape his nightmares is to tun himself to exhaustion. He's searching for his soul mate. Where she is, who she is, he doesn't know but, he knows his soul mate is out there. Somewhere. So he'll just ask every woman he meets until he finds her. He's been casting spell for years to draw her near but it seems that love has come for everyone else in his family but him. But he knows she IS out there. Tonight something happens that so unexpected, shocking and surprising that he's totally unprepared. No one could ever prepare for this! Everyone in his family thinks he has a few eggs missing in his basket but, Raibeart is one of the few people that knows better. Bad magic is afoot! This story is filled with excitement, mystery and answers to questions long forgotten. Raibeart isn't as crazy as everyone thinks he is. But it's nice to know that in he's still the same lovable guy we fell in love with when all this began. I loved it!!. I just finished it on Audible! Michael Ferraiuolo narrated (in a very sexy accent) an already fantastic story of suffering, longing, eternal love and ultimate sacrifice and Made. It. Come. ALIVE!!! Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!.

“For the first time in a long time, Raibeart felt his mind becoming clearer.”
Holy Highlands, this book is incredible! By the time I finished I felt like I had been riding a roller coaster for hours. I was exhilarated and exhausted but in a good way. I always knew once Michelle got around to Raibeart’s story it would be unique, but I see now that was an understatement. It’s so much more. When I finished I had to go back and read it again, this time knowing what the end would be, because I knew the first time I missed a lot. As impossible as it seems, it was even better the second time. I was so sad it had to end I was having so much fun.
I’m not telling you anything about the plot. Please don’t read any reviews that do. Trust me on this, you do NOT want the possibility of a single spoiler. It will ruin the fun.
I adore Michelle Pillow. I only discovered her last year and can’t express how much I regret somehow missing her all these years. I’ve been devouring her books like a glutton and can honestly say I’ve not read one yet I didn’t think was less than fantastic. Her imagination is boundless and each world she creates is incredible, unique, interesting and so very real. The attention to detail blows my mind. She’s also a gifted storyteller that somehow keeps coming up with different plots. No two stories are the same. It’s incredible the way she does it and she even makes it look effortless. Truly unbelievable. She’s quickly become one of my all time favorite authors. I absolutely love her to bits!
Although I doubt anyone will stumble across this book who hasn’t read the others in the series, on the off chance someone does, I think it’s only fair to warn you, this is NOT a stand alone story. There’s just too much going on and if you haven’t read any of the others you’ll be totally lost. (Can you imagine reading about Raibeart without already knowing anything from before?) If this truly is the first time you’ve considered reading a book by Michelle please go back and start the series at the beginning with Love Potions. The MacGregor’s are a great way to begin your introduction to Michelle’s writing and one of her worlds. But be prepared. She will suck you in and believe me, you’ll never want to get out. I know soon you’ll love her as much as I do.

Raibeart McGregor is just looking for the one and has only one question for any lass that he comes in contact with..Will you marry me. Some of the family think he has lost his mind but there is a method to his madness he knows his true love is out there somewhere but he just can't find her . Until the day the nightmares he tries to run away from start to chase him when he is awake . When he puts two and two together the woman tormenting his dreams is the one woman who captured his heart . Katherine is locked away in a magic prison for so long she just wants it to end . She remembers that she once loved a warlock but even that makes her sad until the day the walls of her prison start to crack. Now she has the decision to go and have the second chance at love or will that love be the cause of all her suffering. Ok if you are familiar with the McGregor men you will know about crazy uncle Raibeart . He has always been in the back ground . They may call him crazy but he has been hurt and just wants to have a love of his own . He truly isn't crazy he has been haunted by a past and a woman who haunted him . He is so much fun and he is one of the more Katherine well she is a tortured soul and she just wants to end it all but can't until Raibeart came crashing into the prison she was in . These two are such a fun couple and I have never laughed so hard at Raibeart . The rest of the McGregor clan is also back to help figure out what is going on. These characters are so well written and complex . I was so excited to finally read Raibeart's story .It really gives us an insight of what makes Raibeart tick. I sat down and fell in love all over again with the characters . They are so well written and couples . Each story reads like a movie and the author paints a picture of sexy warlocks and the women who love them . I would read the other books in the series to get a good grasp on uncle Raibeart before you start this book . This is a good series to honestly take you up to halloween . So if you like paranormal romance mixed up with some high jinx check out this series .
The beginning chapter will startle the reader with its intense description of intense suffering by the female lead. Don't that deter the reader from continuing beyond this. Katherine's suffering is immense but vital to the plot. Her proclamation that "I am a prisoner of magick for loving a warlock" is her punishment. To understand Raibert one really needs to read the MacGregor series to appreciate this Book #10 to familiarize themselves with this family. Raibeart has appeared in every book so now we now get to go behind Raibeart's background to learn why he runs nude in the forest and proposes to every woman he sees. He's searching for an unknown; "THE" woman of his heart but he's been cursed to never find her. This story has laughs, interfering relatives, new members, anguish, heart break, a heavy-handed villain in Alice, the Intrall. True love can be consisted of great sacrifice and both Raibeart and Katherine both offer up the intimate sacrifice. A very satisfying read for me and follows the line of all the Warlocks MacGregor books as it is another great read. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I have been waiting impatiently for Raibeart’s story and finally here it is! Raibeart has been looking for his love for centuries, asking every woman he meets to marry him, but there is a very good reason for this, his love was stolen from him and he can’t remember her. Nightmares of a woman haunts him so he drinks and runs himself ragged to sleep without dreams. When a woman suddenly appears, he has a faint feeling of familiarity although he can’t remember meeting her. Kathleen has been locked away by bad magic, watching the world through an enchanted mirror, there is no escape for her, even in death. This was an emotional ride: poor Kathleen has been punished by an evil for no other reason than the fact that Raibeart knew on sight that she was his love and Raibeart has been tormented by his nightmares and the holes in his memory to send him mad. The MacGregor family interactions are always a blast and the new additions slot in seamlessly. I voluntarily received and reviewed an ARC copy of the book.
OMW - I have been on tenterhooks awaiting Raibeart’s story and it was worth every minute of the wait.
The questions over his lapse in sanity, the wonky magic, his need to ask every single woman, aged 18-118 to marry him - these are all answered. The poor lamb runs himself ragged every night trying to tire himself so thoroughly that the nightmares won't visit. His world goes topsy-turvy when a mysterious female appears in his bed-chamber, strange men save him in the forest and his past begins to unravel.
Kathleen has been locked away so long, she fears that she has finally lost her mind when she escapes but finds herself in a room so similar to the cottage she was locked in. Many centuries have passed since her incarceration and she is playing catch-up to be able to live in this new world.
The baddie is thoroughly reprehensible, unable to be saved and just a complete BEATCH! I won't give away any spoilers - just let it be known that there are more MacGregors than originally thought!
She's locked away in a tiny world alone for more time than she can remember. She just doesn't know why. However, her little world is changing. Could she free herself?
He has a reason for asking every woman he meets if she'll marry him. His dreams, his magick says so. Those dreams are getting stronger and more real.
Fans of the McGregors will love this. Feeling for Raibert will...well you need to read to find out. There is plenty of action with our family we've met throughout the series and new ones as well. I can guarantee there will be surprises galore and changes you won't be prepared for but will love every one.
Fans are gonna love it and new readers are gonna be instant fans wanting more. (Good news! There is a whole series you and read if you want more)
This is the story for those of us who have followed, laughed, and wondered at Raibeart's antics and sometimes not quite sane behavior. Raibeart's predilection for running sans clothing and teasing demeanor cover an emptiness within him. He's looking for love and knows that his soul mate is out there somewhere. He's tormented by nightmares which hint at memories he can't quite recall and which drive him to run and drink himself to exhaustion just to get any sleep. I won't give away any spoilers here, but this sometimes chilling story pulls together and explains the drive behind Raibert's quirks. If you are a MacGregor warlocks family and particularly a Raibeart fan, this book is a 'must read'! We get a good look into Raibeart, meet some new (and surprising) characters, and get a good dose of the beloved MacGregor family.
Raibeart realizes that something different is happening around him but he senses funny things happening to him other creatures running around trying to get him to marry one of them. The family doesn't see it or feel it until one day Cait his sister in law is with him when he goes to his room because he told her that a woman was in his room that woman happened to be Katherine who has been held hostage for many years in a cottage by the sea by a soulless demon whom Raibeart cannot remember but she wanted him regardless of the consequences. A very entertaining storyline and the characters are lovely. Lots of magic, surprises, adventure, family support, and love. HEA. This by far was my favorite in the whole Warlocks MacGregor series, it was Raibeart MacGregor's story. Raibeart was a well loved character in this series and reading this story really explain a lot of why "Uncle Raibeart" was the way he was. It also showed a who different side to him too it only made him more lovable. Then there was Katherine a woman who was imprisoned for loving a Certian Warlock. When those walls finally start coming down and the truth of all how things came to be the truth not only sets Katherine free but things that have been so locked away in Raibearts mind and past come to light things really a take things for a twist.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It seems like I have been waiting forever to read Raibearts story and it’s finally here! Out of all the characters in this series, he is my absolute favorite! This entire series is a must read, but I fell in love with Raibeart, if he asked me to marry him, I would have said yes in a heartbeat! If you love Scottish folklore, men in kilts (and sometimes not!) warlocks, magickal beings, you will love this series. Romance, adventure, suspense, the supernatural, it’s all here!.

Raibert has been one of my favorite characters throughout this series. A wild and crazy guy, even with his underlying intelligence and instinct, he got a bad rap from his family and the nearby residents. In another mind bending tale he finally finds his wife. But will they ever be able to be together? This captivating read had me hooked from the beginning. The cool mythology the characters exist in allows for a twisty plot line. As you read or experience this emotional story the highs and lows hit you hard and don’t stop till the sigh worthy end.

Railbeart forever!! Since the beginning I have always loved Railbeart. He was my favourite then and has remained so. I was so happy to see that he got his own book and that in the end he remained himself but happier. For those other Railbeart fans I will not spoil the story. Suffice to say that he has been haunted by nightmares for a very long time and he has never got over the loss of his heart. While he sometimes had full control over himself it was not constant and there was no guarantee of when it would happen. Somehow he has to get back what he lost or die trying.
What an amazing read! I have not read all of the stories in this series but I have seen Raibeart ask many women to marry him. We get to see more of him in this book and get the reason why he has been acting like this. This story was funny, sweet, exciting, and a little steamy. I was a very enjoyable read and I can't wait to read it again in the future because I will.

I’ve been waiting for Raibeart’s story forever and it did not disappoint. There is a little bit of crazy (not Raibeart), a bit of a twist and a lot of love. We meet new people and not just the love interest. I was very surprised at who they were. I’m not going to post spoilers, just know that this book was worth the wait.
I have loved the MacGregor's since the first time I read them. The storyline is entertaining with action, adventure, intrigue and humor. The interaction and humor between the characters is captivating. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
OMG! Such an unexpected story of Raibert's mate and it is poignant, beautiful, endearing, surprising and absolutely amazing! This book truly knocks it out of the park and answers questions his family (or we readers) and no idea we had. For those who haven't had the chance to read it yet, don't miss the opportunity when you get it. Love it! Highly recommend!
Book ten in the Warlocks MacGregor series, and I will say to date this is my favorite in the series. Warlock Raibeart MacGregor for centuries has been the one everyone called crazy, but he remembers someone. Katherine Galbraith runs from the prison she has been spelled to remain for many centuries, when something happens to it. Donovan and Gregory come back into their lifes. There is suspense, drama, danger, a really nasty villain and love. I would recommend. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Railbeart finally gets his story and we discover so much that explains why he behaves as he does. Katherine is a perfect match for him. I absolutely loved this story and couldn’t put it down. The MacGregor family is just so amazing. I love them all. This is a wonderful story. I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.

I love all the books in this series and this book was absolutely no exception. I’ve had a soft spot for Railbeart so for him to finally get his own story well! I couldn’t wait to read it and see what happens. I love the fact that he asks every single woman he sees to marry him! His family all think he’s lost the plot but he knows something is wrong, very wrong. I loved this book and I hope you will too.

This is one heck of a story. It explains so much about Raibeart and his odd behavior. I loved the interaction between Donovan, Gregory and their parents. Such a convoluted story with a great ending.

Another excellent instalment in the Warlocks MacGregor series. This one is about Warlock Raibeart MacGregor and his quest for true love. Plagued by nightmares and running every evening until he is exhausted he begins to realise that the woman he’s been searching for is the one literally tormenting his dreams.
