Rate this book

Although it purports to talk about gods and superheroes, it came across as a series of tropes about having power and being on the same side and opposites have to work together, and so on. Decent action scenes and that's about it. Formatting is all smashed together. Apparently, the author didn't learn about separating the thoughts of two speakers or more. It made following the story hard.

Characters? Okay, and nothing more. The dialogue was also okay, and nothing more. I get the idea of superpowered beings and super-suits and rewriting mythology--I've done that myself--but there has to be a chosen one and in this case--TROPE CITY!--it's a con and not a particularly nice one at that. Oh, and she's the last of her line with divine blood and where have I read that before? Only in about a hundred 'chosen ones' novels.

I usually recommend the novels I read. This one, no. I rounded it up to two stars simply because I like mythology and the author made a decent attempt to include the old with the new.
