Journey back to a time thousands of years before the hit films, when Jedi Knights were galactic peacekeepers — and the Sith waited in the shadows!
Determined to crush the Republic that sent them into exile, the Sith launch an attack on the galaxy’s Outer Rim — with their sights set on the Core Worlds, the heart of galactic unity. The Sith’s Dark Council claims to want peace, but both sides have unleashed spies that could turn the tide of war! And on a frozen world, a lost tribe of Sith cut off from the galaxy is about to have its fate changed forever as a rebellious outcast discovers ancient secrets that will lead him and his allies to the stars — and beyond! Facing a galaxy that is being overrun, a group of brave Jedi continue hit-and-run missions — but Jedi Knight Kerra Holt’s first assignment goes horribly wrong. Could she be the only hope to stop the Sith from completely crushing the Republic?
Then discover the origins of the Sith rule of two, one master and one apprentice, as Lord Hoth’s Army of Light faces the Brotherhood of Darkness in a bid to end the galactic conflict once and for all!
COLLECTING: Star Wars: The Old Republic (2010) 1-6, Star Wars: The Old Republic - The Lost Suns (2011) 1-5, Star Wars: Lost Tribe of the Sith - Spiral (2012) 1-5, Star Wars: Knight Errant (2010) 1-5, Star Wars: Knight Errant - Deluge (2011) 1-5, Star Wars: Knight Errant - Escape (2012) 1-5, Star Wars: Jedi vs. Sith (2001) 1-6; material from Star Wars Tales (1999) 16-17, 24 & Star Wars Visionaries (2005)
From the war between the Sith Empire and the Old Republic, to the fragile truce between them, and then forward through the centuries, with tales exploring lost Sith tribes, quests among systems controlled by warring Sith dynasties, and finally the rise of Darth Bane and the creation of the Rule of Two. The quality varies, I found the Knight Errant saga quite dull, but overall, this is a good collection completing the Old Republic era in comic book format.
Compared to its predecessor (The Old Republic Omnibus Vol. 1), this volume brings together a wide variety of stories, which I also liked because some of them aren’t that short and, in fact, make up a large part of the Omnibus.
For example, "Blood of the Empire," "Threat of Peace," and "The Lost Suns" covers almost half of the Omnibus. By the way, the story arc of "The Lost Suns" is a prequel to the novel titled "Annihilation." And if you’re a fan of Satele Shan, you’ll enjoy the story arc of "Threat of Peace."
Another story arc is "Star Wars: The Lost Tribe of the Sith – Spiral," which is a sequel to the novel "The Lost Tribe of the Sith"; this arc is interesting and features a very powerful Sith from the time of Ajunta Pall.
Finally, there’s a story arc titled “Star Wars: Jedi vs. Sith,” which tells the story of the end of the New Sith Wars, the Battle of Ruusan, and how the Rule of Two came to be.
