OMG OMG so much mystery and intrigue I’m exploding. Another cliffhanger, but the story is slowly revealing itself. I can’t seem to leave this story until I know the truth.
This third collection had it all! Hot scenes, plot development and I found myself devouring the whole set in no time. I loved how this series has everything you could want in a RH book, it's definitely my favourite box set so far. It's a story you can get lost in. Beautiful work Atlas, your vampire series is a work of art!
Asena’s behavior has me the most baffled...she flips her views and convictions at the drop of a hat. That final scene with her and the 3 vampires had me so confused. She keeps talking about how she’s here to avenge her murdered parents but then completely forgets about it anytime she has the chance. She talks about how she hates the vampires and being imprisoned at the manor but then displays jealousy over the other girls getting attention. She goes from hating them to loving them by the end yet they haven’t done anything to earn or win her love except give her a couple of orgasms. And what in the hell is the purpose of keeping all those women there if they found who they wanted and needed in Asena? The whole storyline is becoming more confusing and muddled as the series progresses and I find myself not enjoying the series anymore.
Seriously, what the fuck? What was that last scene? What was the purpose of literally anything Asena did? I’m so confused.
I really felt like this story was going places. And now it’s not anymore? What is this? Everything got derailed out of the main points we’d managed to set in the first two installments, suddenly nothing made sense, all the answers I was looking forward to getting just vanished into thin air, new mysteries took their place and we were left with nothing at all to cling to. Suddenly Asena was so in love? Weirdly enough. Like, I get the lust, that makes sense to me, and the whole bewitching thing the vampires have going on (which I love, by the way, very classic, very vampires of old) also makes a lot of sense to me and was one of the factors that made me enjoy the story, but she did such a 180 with the emotional side of things it all ended up feeling weird, cheap and stilted.
But she’s not the only one. A lot of other characters act like a fucking rollercoaster all the damn time. One second they say something, the next they are completely different people. It’s like they can’t decide who they want to be, how they want to act, or who they really are. It got old really fast and the inconsistency constantly drew me out of the story.
This installment, while filled with drama, was mainly disappointing. And don’t even get me started on the melodramatic last two chapters. I’ve never cringed harder in my life. I'm definitely finishing this because I hate leaving series unfinished but I'm confused, bored and disappointed.
This is so emotional! It's nail biting and it's amazingly horrific!
This is a more of a gothic than some of the other vampire series I've read of Atlas's. It's very dark and full of sexy vampires which, at first are awful! However that turns into a whole other thing. Don't want to spoil anything here. However once you start a book don't plan on putting it down! This is a wild ride and nail biting scenarios. This Authors work is always great, whether its a vampire series or a different type, ( under A.K. Rose. ) One can count on great quality writing and dark and edge of your seat sh** going down! Twists and turns in this book , as with this whole series are constant! Don't read if you're only into vampire romances that are sort of vanilla and lovey dovey. Because you won't find it here but you'll find a love for her by these three vamps that cross time. I got so emotional reading parts of these books but this one in particular. No matter the genre Atlas writes in the heartbeat and broken pasts of the characters will break your heart! I have to wind down because I'm starting the next one tomorrow but tonight I have to sleep and regroup and hopefully have some scorching hot dreams !!! Lol!!! Read on because its getting better!
So we ended the third book with some guy claiming to be Asena's father. So is this true? So what happens with that little piece of knowledge? Still waiting on that but in the meantime things get crazy at the castle. A new vampire comes to the castle who is stunning, Corvina! Boy does this get interesting. What is she doing there, she is trying to recruit the Sinful to fight in a war. But something happens that leads Asena to some answers. Is it enough to further her cause. The Sinful are still hiding something from her? As she is about to find out what is going on something has befallen Asena. What happens you ask? Nope not telling you, you will need to get the book
This book is exciting and heart pounding. You will also need to have some Kleenex on hand. This series is amazing so don't miss it.
***This is an advanced readers copy and also purchased***
Well I’m hooked now and I just have to find out what’s happened before, what’s happening now and what the heck is going to happen in the end of this wonderful series.
Lots of information in the third installment of this series but, as usual, this new information leads to more questions. I do know that I’m enthralled by Arkyn, Lorcan and Cassian; yes Asena is surrounded by love, admiration and danger... now I have to wait for the fourth installment to tie all of this together. Not gonna be an easy wait.
As I’ve said about this series before, I will repeat here. It’s well written. The world building is excellent and the characters believable and enticing. The plot simply rocks... it really does; it’s quite good story telling. Highly recommended.
All I can say of this series is.... I am hooked... and I have no better word... Asena, lineage of whom is unknown is a conniving plotting girl with conflicting emotions.. Afraid of trusting anyone yet stands by them when in need.. As powerful as her is still bound to fits of jealousy & anger..
The sinful though known for their brutal nature are caring, affectionate and protective of Asena, yet the reason yet to come out...
The plot is well conceived and every book in the series is a cliffhanger making it damn hard to not get hooked.. Gladly Recommended!!
This book was even better than the last! The steam has been bumped up and you actually start to see connections happening between Asena and the Sinful. Memories are slowly coming back but Asena doesn't recognize them. More enemies are coming out of the shadows, and the Sinful continue to protect her. Hating them is becoming harder until she finally gives in. She still needs answers, and hopefully we get some in the next book!!
This series is really heating up. With memories or dreams coming to haunt Asena. Her father coming to claim her and fighting ensues. Asena’s feelings are all over the place and she’s unsure on what do. She hates the sinful one moment but wants them more than ever the next. The series has more twists than turns and each one just keeps you captivated
This series is such a quilty pleasure of mine. Its steamy suspensful and a little bit dark but utterly addictive. Atlas Rose is fast becoming a firm favourite of mine I love her ability not only to tell a good story but also sell a good story. A very unique writing style
I’m so completely hooked to this series! Like I NEED to know what happened in the past and what’s happening now 😨THERE’S SO MUCH HAPPENING! This story line is just so captivating and creative and it’s such a fun world be sucked into! I can’t wait to read more! I’m loving the Sinful🖤
I reviewed these individually, so much is going on in this series. We have attempted abductions, murder, attempted suicide, hot raging sex and then a kidnapping. Im sitting on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens next.
Asena finds more clues but to start with it just confuses her more all she wants is answers. She just gets promised she'll get the answers she wants when her world gets turned upside down again and leaves us with another cliffhanger
I can’t wait for the next book, and I really hope it won’t be long! I was pulled in to the story, I felt the heat, the passion, the anger- everything. Excellent writing.
The MC definitely has some whiplash thoughts and feelings, but it keeps me interested and always ends on a cliffhanger leaving me wanting to know the rest.
Asena and her sinful men’s saga continues in this third installment. Asena’s life becomes a rollercoaster ride of danger!! Will she find the answers she so desperately searches for?
