One podcasting authority suggests, "Technology isn't important". Another sums up the entire podcast creation process in a four-minute video. A third insists you can podcast without money, gear or experience. None of them take the time to explain what the buttons, dials, and lights all mean - they leave you to figure out the techie stuff on your own.
Here are just a few of the topics covered in Introduction to Podcast Technology:
How to tell the difference between a good recording room and a bad one (and how to avoid wasting time and money when improving a bad room) Learn the two main types of microphones and why only one of them is appropriate for most podcasters Discover the difference between an audio interface and an audio recorder (and which to choose if you can only afford one or the other) Discover the one recording accessory that can make the biggest improvement in the quality of your recordings How to configure free software (used by a lot of podcasting pros) to convert master recordings to MP3 format Learn what to look for (and look out for) when choosing a media host Discover the most effective method to get your show listed in the iTunes podcast directory

I have a blog and was thinking of starting a podcast and this book laid everything out in a clear and concise manner. I will be looking into the video course and re-reading the book as I start my own podcast channel. A must read for anyone thinking of starting a podcast in the future. Highly recommend this book.
This is an excellent technical guide to setting up your podcast. It is full of great information without being so technical you can't understand or apply its principles. Each chapter ends with exercises to implement what you learn in the chapter. Plus there were interviews included with the book at the end of others who have done it well.
A good, basic introduction to podcasting and podcast technology. The book is a few years old, but does still have tons of relevant content. A good technical and technical strategy introduction.
This book helped me get started into my podcasting and help with my purchase of equipment. I did not know where to start, but now I do. The book is worth buying.
An excellent how-to manual. Takes you from the very beginning and walks you through the entire process without needing to have a production background of any sort. Highly recommend.
This was an excellent book. The book was well organized, informative and helpful for anyone who is considering or starting a podcast. Lots of helpful freebies are included. Well worth the money.
