After getting back from vacation, Recker finds himself with not much to do. With work in the city at an all-time low, Recker is approached by a familiar face. Michelle Lawson has a job for him in regards to an illegal arms dealer that has continuously given the CIA the slip. Feeling like he can trust her and work for the agency again for one job, Recker agrees to do the assignment once all his conditions are met.

With Jones and Haley on board, the team heads off to London to find their target. It's back to where everything started for Recker when the CIA initially tried to terminate him. But what they hope is a short-term assignment turns into a much longer stay, and with Mia having problems of her own at home, Recker turns to old friends in order to help him accomplish his mission and get home faster.

This was not one of the better more exciting ones in the series. Also, listening to the audio version, the recording has about 4-5 min breaks between some of its chapters. So not something that allows for a good flow.

Not as exciting as past readings from Mike Ryan

My past readings from.this series were both exciting and suspenseful. This book.was quite a let down from.others in the series.

I haven't given up on this author but next book of Silencer series will determine my continuing interest.

I liked how Decker was able to come full circle (though reluctantly) with the CIA when they found themselves desperate for his help to stop an int'l arms dealer. This was a solid story and another great read.

Episode 9 is complete change from episode 8 (High Velocity), where we were abruptly left with a ‘to be continued..’ feeling - not quite a cliffhanger. So, absolutely no continuation and almost no mention of the tenuous situation in Philadelphia is made. Instead we’re in London, where Mike, David and Chris are trying to replicate their MO to capture a terrorist enabler.

It’s slow moving, but not disinteresting. I like it because it’s based in my hometown of London, although it could really have been anywhere, not much sightseeing was being done.

In my opinion/observation, we get a really high octane storyline every 4 episodes. I’m guessing that we’re now in season Two and the next exiting forage will be in book 12. I might not make it that far...

Recker Will Never Again Work For The CIA - Never Say Never!

Things are very slow for The Silencer and company. So slow, in fact, that Recker plans to go on a vacation! Who knew? The power of the woman you love.

But the CIA has a gun runner in Europe that's killed eight CIA agents. THE Company asks for his help in getting this criminal. Mike has reservations, as you can imagine. And a long list of accommodations that are not negotiable. Does Mike, et al get his way. Remember that Mike was once on their kill list. Read it and find out! Five bright shining stars!

★★½: Below Average - A disappointing book with some redeeming qualities.

I actually feel bad writing this review, my lowest rating ever (I think). The story just left everything unanswered from book 9, and was much different than the rest of the series. NO ONE DIES, AT ALL!!

Much slower, which isn't bad, and I enjoyed the plot... truly. I thought incorporating the CIA again was brilliant.

It just didn't do it for me.

Good read

Seemed a little slow at first, but picked up and didn't disappoint. I will be glad to get back to the Silencer and his adventures in the city. Hoping this was setting the stage for another great book.

Recker returns to the fray...far away!

Needs a good editor

I've said this in a previous review, Mike needs a good editor. I was distracted by all grammatical errors. I also found the writing style to be less than I'd expect from a professional author. On the other hand, he spins a good yarn.

Like this series characters and the twists in plot. Well narrated. Pretty clean usually and this one follows that rule.
