It's Howard the bunny's birthday and for breakfast he receives a HUGE piece of very 'rich' brownie he knew this was a treat and after all if it's good, there can't be too much of a good thing..or could it? His tummy starts feeling funny afterward. Then his mother gives him some gum to share with his friends for his birthday but he eats all of them not able to talk because his mouth is so full. Issues are throughout this storybook where too much of a good thing does in fact become a bad thing. At the end his mama tells him he can have as much of his birthday cake as he wants and can stay up as late as he wants. But he remembers what he's learnt during the day and tells his mama that only one piece would be okay and he'll only stay up one hour past his bedtime. Learning his lesson about too much of a good thing.
Moral of the story? Too much of a good thing CAN be bad, which Howard learns the hard way on his birthday. Oh if only all kids realized this over the course of one day like Howard did! Another we will continue to read and reread lots!
The bunny called Howard, he liked to eat or do a lot his favorite things every time, but the results was always bad. After that he learned, doing everything should be appropriate, or you might had the opposite outcome.
