This series has become a guilty indulgence for me. It's like a plain piece of cake. You know it may probably not be very satisfying in the end, but you still crave it, and it hits the spot.
It has also become incredibly formulaic
You have your innocent virgin, that somehow in this day and age has managed to hold on to her virginity past the age of 25
Then you have one of the heroes that's already pretty much in love with her, the other be pretty much on the cusp of it, and the last be incredibly broken and broody. He'll have a bad history with women, and be fighting the relationship until the very last page
Oh, then add in a bad guy, and you've pretty much got the entire book.
Been there, read that. But yet, I keep coming back for more. Why? Because it's still entertaining.
There were parts of this book I liked. I particularly liked Tate. He had this endearingly quirky personality. This sexy nerd that reminded me a little of Sheldon from BBT
Now if you can suspend your disbelief for the entire book, it is fairly entertaining. And I think it would have been a solid 3 stars for me...had it not been for one BIG thing.
The incredibly cheesy PRN element that was added. What the fuck was that fuckery? The big revelation at the end had me rolling my eyes so much, I got a headache. It was so bad it, I had to stop reading at the 85% mark and skip that anticipated big bang...ha! (pun intended)
It completely killed the book for me.
Will I continue with the next book in the series if there is one? Probably. I still like it enough to keep going and I'm waiting for Oliver to get his book along with his sexy British brothers. But I can honestly say that this book was probably my least favorite in the entire series.

well, i guess after 5 books in a row writing about menage, masters and virgins...the plot would expectantly simmer down LOL

I usually like the collaboration between the two authors and among Erotic Romance the ménage themed ones are of preference, but this time it did not work!!! It was actually very disappointing... The story was formulaic, but that is a given for this series, so that was the least of the problems. The pacing was slow and dragging, the characters were flat and colorless, the plot was... ridiculous! And usually all this could be forgiven and overlooked in this genre, because let's face it, we do not read it for intellectual enrichment, but the sex was very, very unsexsy and lacking in chemistry or inventiveness... It was forced and terribly boring, which is just death for ER... On top of all that there was some ridiculous attempt at a paranormal twist and it was about 200 pages too long and voila, I would not recommend this book to anyone... I hate to write negative feedback, but I am being honest... Sorry

So, I have come to the conclusion that Shayla Black and Lexi Blake can do no wrong. Writing together, or writing separately, these two are a freakin’ powerhouse! They constantly give us stories that are emotionally charged, and deliciously erotic. The Masters of Ménage Series is a series that will never disappoint. It’s a series that will keep you on your toes, and keep you fascinated the whole way through. Their Virgin Secretary is no exception to these facts. It was chock full of dialogue that will have you grinning from ear to ear, and sexual tension so high that it will have you contemplating a VERY cold shower.
All you pretty much have to know is that this book contains THREE very successful, very sexy, and VERY demanding lawyers. They all have been pining after their secretary/executive assistant/office manager ever since they laid eyes on her. Never making a move, only taking care of her in the background, they finally agree that it is time to take what’s theirs. When everything seems to be going as planned, a secret is revealed that has the power to change everything.
❝You’re our lovely Belle. Period.❞
Ok, there are a lot of parties involved in this ménage, so let’s break it down and learn a little about each character shall we?
First up, we have our heroine Belle, or ‘Annabelle’ when a certain Dom is putting his foot down. Belle is one of those people you would trust with all your secrets. She would be a perfect ‘best friend.’ She’s caring, loving, and full of devotion. She will never let you down, and always be there when you need her. She has touched each of her bosses lives and made it better somehow. Belle has spent a year falling in love with her bosses, but it will never be anything more. They have yet to make a move on her, and she deserves better. She wants something more out of life. She has dreams that she wants to go after, and she can’t fulfill these dreams while she is stuck in a law office, falling deeper in love with these stubborn men.
We have a lot of HEROES to get through, so let’s get started…
First up, we have my favorite (shhh..don’t tell the others) Tate Baxter. Tate is the lovable, honest, ‘nerd turned hottie.’ You will never know what will come out of that man’s mouth. He is so random and so hilarious, that I had tears coming out of my eyes from laughing so damn hard. After having a rough go of it growing up, always trying to live up to impossible expectations, he met Eric Cohen, and they helped each other become the incredible men they are today. After the first couple of chapters, you will be pleasantly surprised that this genius has a very dirty mouth, and it is SEXY AS HELL! Here, I will give you a little taste:
❝She already has my heart. I would like for her to take my penis too. Is that so much to ask?❞
Next, we have Eric Cohen. He was your typical jock growing up. He had a father with way to high expectations, and with every screw up, he heard about it, over and over again. After meeting Tate and having him help with his studies, he found out that he was so much smarter than he thought he could ever be. Tate helped him realize this, and it has made their friendship and bond that much stronger. Eric is the soother, the sweet-talker of the three, but he still holds so much inside. After getting to know Eric a little more, I came to the conclusion that he is the glue that holds the trio together.
❝You should be far more focused on all the pleasurably dirty things I plan to do to you. Want me to tell you about it?❞
And last, but certainly not least (or he will spank me) we have Kellan Kent, the Dom to end all Doms. He is so incredibly sexy, and so incredibly frustrating, it drove me crazy through the entire story. He is the one with a past that could destroy everything. Being burned by his ex-wife AND his family in the worst possible way, he has lost all hope in love and relationships. With that being said, Marriage is a VERY hard limit for Kellan. There is no question that he wants Belle. There is no question that he wants what’s best for his brothers. He knows that Tate and Eric want to make Belle all of theirs ASAP, but he is not ready, and he doesn’t know if he will every be. Sure, he can be there to lend a palm or his cock every once in a while, but he doesn’t think he is what Belle needs. See what I mean about the frustrating part :)
As you can see, Their Virgin Secretary is not short on amazing, beautiful, complex characters that will make you swoon, AND make you pull your hair out. These characters have parts of them that are broken, and are just looking at trying to find a way where everyone can be whole again. There will be struggles, there will be hesitations, but deep down all they need is the love and devotion of one another to start the healing process.
In conclusion, Their Virgin Secretary AND the entire series is a MUST READ for me. I devoured this book in one sitting, laughing, crying, and swearing along the way. This is Romantic Suspense at it’s best. There is no doubt in my mind, that you will not fall in love with these characters. There is no doubt in my mind that if you aren’t currently a fan, you will become one….for life. It’s stories like these, that made me fall in love with the genre.

I cannot be the ONLY person that has read this book that finds Belle calling her Doms by the term
Master
to just be .... um, wrong? Of ALL the words in ALL the words, THAT'S the one the authors picked? Really?..........hmmmmmmmmmm
Okay, so full review.....I've had this book sitting on my shelf for a few years now. I picked it up to read not because I thought it would be meaningful and have substance, because I've read the last 5 books and these books are for pure guilty kinky pleasure indulgence only lol ... I picked it up because I'm taking part in a bingo reading challenge and a polyamory relationship is one of the squares. Actually, this particular book would fit in about 3 other bingo squares, but I believed in the relationship that transformed and grew between these four people.
If you've read the series from the beginning as I have, you've already met Belle and her three bosses, Kellan, Eric & Tate. They've made cameo appearances in previous books and from the first time they appeared I have wanted to read their story. NOT because I thought the outline of the story would differ from the past books (these authors DO like their themes lol), but because I knew these guys were going to be entertaining. and HECK YEAH they were.
First we have our no filter geek boy, Tate Baxter. He was adorably inept with words of endearment and the total opposite of a smooth-talker but you just could not help falling in love with his genuine demeanor. I believed in his total and absolute love for Belle. And his character stayed true to itself. He never wavered. He just put a big old smile on my face **happy sigh** Second we have Eric Cohen. Now he's the smooth talker of the three. He's the one that knows the right thing to say at the right time. He's laid back like his brother (yes, Eric and Tate are brothers) but a bit more poised LOL and last we have Kellan Kent. Kellan is the born Dominant of the three. He's the power suit of the trio. But he's also the most damaged. I'm not going to go into the whys and his past because I think you should experience the shock value of it just like I did, but ... **yikes** And it's because of his past that he is the most reluctant to just let go and let his feelings take him where they might take him ....
And now we come to Belle ... I've loved her since the moment I met her. She may be innocent sexually, but that girl is a powerhouse. She knew what she wanted and after she got out of her own way she went after it! And it was superb!
I want to tell you what made me believe is this polyamory relationship. It was the fact that it really started over a year before the book began LOL And I got to see glimpses of it when I read the previous books. So there was a growth there. And when the book actually began, growth continued. Yes, you actually get told in the book about this, but I got to experience it, not just read it. That may not make sense to many, but it's the best way I can put it. These guys worked. Their love was genuine. Their journey was believable AND relatable. Every doubt that was had was realistic. This is one of the very few polyamory relationships/journeys that I have read that I can actually say was WAY more than just hot sex with a side of lust ....

Attending her BFF Kinley's doggie wedding has Annabelle Wright thinking about her own life and why she's still working as a glorified secretary when her life's goal has been to work as an interior designer. The only thing that's been holding her back are her bosses, Tate Baxter, Eric Cohen, & Kellan Kent, three gorgeous single powerful men who make her girly parts tingle. Deciding the time is right she tells the trio that she's decided to quit and move on to pursue her life's dream.
Kell, Eric, & Tate has been giving 'Belle' time to get used to the idea of a menage relationship before they act on claiming her for a long term relationship. Hearing about her plan to quit and leave them spurs them to show her what she'd be missing out on and what she could have if she stays. Things don't end up the way they plan when Anabelle disappears with the help of her friend who won't tell them where she's disappeared to.
The three aren't the best attorneys in Chicago for nothing and they're able to find their girl only to find she's moved to New Orleans and has a new 'Sir' in her life. Anabelle is their's and they won't give her up. Not to 'Sir', to New Orleans, or even an unknown evil that's set it sights on Anabelle as it's next victim.
This is the sixth installment in the "Masters Of Menage" series featuring characters that were cameoed in Their Virgin Hostage. Peaked my interest as each of the guys had a different personality. Tate had me thinking of a horny Sheldon, Eric, a college all star football jock now respected attorney, and Kellen a man with baggage issues. Annabelle was their naive overly positive breath of sunshine who made life worth living.
I do admit that I had a hard time getting into this story as it seemed to be a recycled variation of Their Virgin Captive and for the most part this is true. Up until I got to the halfway point when things started picking up. I kid you not when I say there is a passage in this story that is freaky as I was thinking I'd like to hit one of the characters upside their head due to the circumstances ... and it happened. It was like karma or .. something .. reached into the pages of this book and did my dirty work. And. I did find the remainder of the story bearable because ... well 'nonspoiler code of conduct' prevents me from disclosing the causitive effect here. hehe.
Adult content. I know I'm not giving away spoiler info when I say that each of the heroines in this series are virgins. Ok. I get the series has that slant and all that so I'll refrain from going on about my personal opinion about that. The actual adult content action though is BDSM in the sugarkink category which did disappoint me as I know these authors could have spiced things up a whole lot more. For those readers who enjoy m/f and m/f/m/m with a totally sensual feel this is a book that will be appreciated as the scenes definitely will scratch that itch.
The paranormal tag does include supernatural activity which isn't surprising as the majority of the book has the characters in New Orleans. Exactly how this is pulled into the story line is info that you'll have to read the book to find out as I'm not telling.
My issues. While I appreciated the overall story line and action contained in this book I do feel there were major editing problems. The whole book was disjointed and had lapses which may be a result of having two authors working on it and breaks in follow through information that weren't caught. I usually don't focus on issues of this sort unless they are to a degree that I'm pulled out of the story which definitely occurred here. Many of my observations are in the spoiler info category so I can't share examples. A minor vague nonspoiler thought though is that when a home has no landline (that I was able to pick up on in the story) I couldn't understand how the access for spontaneous internet connection was possible.
I'm a biggie fan of both authors and always will be but for me this book just wasn't one of the better ones that I've read from them. Maybe it's because it resembles other installments, or maybe it's because of the conflicting story line details. Regardless, it had it moments.

Not enough to hold my interest.
This story was not on the level of previous books in this series. It seemed over-complicated as if it is menage-erotica with some sort of plot but it did not work. None of the characters except Tate seemed like fictional characters I would like to know. They were not LB's usual lovable characters. Then within the framework of the story too, nothing actually happens, not romance, hardly suspense, someone gets shot in the end, but who cares? It was so boring. I managed to finish it, so i give it 2 stars, but barely.

This book was perfect. EVEN with the few silly supernatural moments.
I'm in love with the writing and the four main characters, ESPECIALLY Tate. He's awesome.
Annabelle is my favorite heroine from the whole series so far.
Please give me MORE Tate in the next books.

I read this one awhile ago, and just never got around to reviewing it I guess. I just finished a re-read of it today, and still enjoyed the heck out of it!
Look, these books are formulaic as hell. You have the "virgin" and you have two or more guys. Usually one or two of them are all in, and already love the heroine, and one is a hold out who has usually been hurt or something, but comes around in the end. There is angst, and drama, and usually a baddie, but it is ALL GOOD. At least to me, because I eat these suckers up! *lol*

I read this one awhile ago, and just never got around to reviewing it I guess. I just finished a re-read of it today, and still enjoyed the heck out of it!
Look, these books are formulaic as hell. You have the "virgin" and you have two or more guys. Usually one or two of them are all in, and already love the heroine, and one is a hold out who has usually been hurt or something, but comes around in the end. There is angst, and drama, and usually a baddie, but it is ALL GOOD. At least to me, because I eat these suckers up! *lol*

I have read every book in Shayla Black and Lexi Blake’s Master of Ménage Series. After I finished each book, I swore that it was my favorite. Well after finishing Their Virgin Secretary, the sixth book in the series, I must state unequivocally that this one is my favorite. Really!
I think of the reasons that I keep changing my mind about my favorite in the series is because of the growth in Ms. Black and Ms. Blake’s writing collaboration. By this sixth book in the series, they have mastered creating interesting, fascinating characters that go above and beyond the standard romance character. This time they have created three delicious men who would intrigue me individually but together compelled me to read page after page so that I finished the book in one day.
So let me present my case for this one being the best. It has everything you could want in a romance novel – great characters, compelling dialogue, an intriguing storyline and blazing hot sex.
First there are the great characters. This time around we have three handsome, intelligent lawyers who are lusting after their secretary. It’s easy to see why Belle fell in love with these men. Eric is the referee of the group, always soothing over any conflict. He puts on a public face of calm and confidence, but he hides so much inside. Kellan was burned in the past and he’s afraid to trust love. He desperately needs Belle to teach him about the importance of family and to remind him that true love does exist. Finally there is Tate who reminds me of an overgrown puppy. He is a self-proclaimed nerd who says exactly what he is thinking. Tate has so much insecurity stemming from his lack of social graces and needs Belle to show him that he is perfect just as he is. Belle is an independent, intelligent woman who is strong enough to handle three men. She has a great sense of humor and I think that we could be good friends.
Ms. Black and Ms. Blake have an amazing ability to write such authentic dialogue that I forget I’m reading a fictional romance. Even amidst the backdrop of a haunted house and a ménage a quattro, the book is absolutely grounded in reality. The dialogue flows so easily and naturally and I found myself laughing throughout because I could easily picture each man saying those stupid things that only a man would think is okay. Tate has no filter so it’s not surprising that he would say things like “She already has my heart. I would like for her to take my penis. Is that so much to ask?” It’s these quirks that I found so endearing and made me fall in love with this book.
Then there’s the sex – the steamy, passionate, hot sex. Is it wrong to be jealous of a fictional character? Because I am totally jealous of Belle and her bedroom antics with all three men. There is just the right amount of domination, humor, love and body tingling passion to make the bedroom scenes perfect. I have read other books by Ms. Black and Ms. Blake, and let me tell you that they have perfected the art of writing love scenes that will send you straight to a cold shower.
I hope that I have made my case and convinced you that Their Virgin Secretary is truly the best one in the Master of Ménage series. Since their collaborations are only getting better, I hope and pray that Ms. Black and Ms. Blake continue to work together to create more books for this series. They seem to have fun working together and the reader is gifted with some fantastic books. It’s a win-win situation for everyone!

Belle has been working for her three attorneys (Kellan, Eric and Tate) for a year, and has harbored some great fantasies of all four of them together. They’re incredibly protective of her, especially since her best friend Kinley (heroine of the previous book) was involved in some danger involving Kinley’s ex-fiance and she thinks they may be interested in her. They’re all at a doggie wedding (yep, you read that right) and the quad get very, very close. But then things blow up and Belle flees for New Orleans to the house her grandmother left her in the French Quarter. When she gets there she’s informed that the house is haunted, and it definitely seems as if someone wants to get Belle out of that house....
The bajillionth (ok, it's the sixth) in the Virgin menage series by these authors is completely in the standard formula for their tried and true quads, right down to the typical trio of heroes - commit-phobe hero who doesn’t want to commit because of his previous damage and the one hero who you can never quite remember because he’s not one of the extremes and the geeky/nerdy/socially awkward hero. The heroine is always a twenty something virgin with lots of curves and slight self esteem issues, and they’re all connected to the previous books in some way, so that means that’s there’s a little ‘verse of nothing but quads who all know about a billion other quads.
But I’m realistic - you don’t read this for the literary value, you read because it’s completely fantasy (and spank bank) material. I actually really liked the nerdy hero Tate, and his continuous “offers” for Belle, and I think there’s good chemistry between Belle and each of the guys. The mystery of what happened in Belle’s grandmother’s house is fairly obvious, but the writing isn’t bad, just very, very familiar. I actually would have gladly read a romance with just Tate and Belle, but that’s not what this book was about - it’s about the menage sex. That’s still sexy and dirty and everything you want menage to be, with a bit of BDSM lite. If you're not into hardcore BDSM - it's very much about the dominance, not the punishment.
The humor and Tate saved this read for me, so I did like the book, even if it's very familiar.

Annabelle Wright works for lawyers Baxter, Cohen and Kent. She has fancied them ever since she started working there but believes her feelings are one sided. After getting hurt by their actions she runs off the New Orleans to do up her late grandmother's house and from there on the plot turns into a half ghost half crime story. It feels like the author is grabbing at straws when it comes to plots now.
As with all the books in this series, there is one of the men who is reticent to start a relationship for some reason or other and the other two need to convince him because they are only complete when they are together (ugh, vomits). The plot was decent, ok characters but it's all getting a bit repetitive now. Each book has a plot with a virgin damsel in distress, men of slightly different temperaments each with slightly different roles in the relationship, each character have an epiphany of some sort and repetitive and unimaginative sex scenes.
After about 50% of giving this book a go I started to skim the rest. With the repetitive foundation of each book in this series maybe 6 books were too many.

I felt like this was the exact same story as the previous books just re-created with new names. Also, I absolutely hate how each book (in this one Kellan) has a leading man who says "I can't be in a relationship/she's better off without me/all I can offer is sex." What a crock of bull $h!t. These heroes are suppose to be so alpha but they are afraid of commitment. You can definitely skip this one.

Red flag central, plus an absurd plot.
Belle has crushed on her 3 bosses for over a year with nary a flirtatious look or look of longing, even tho they want her too. Then at her friend’s wedding for her 2 dogs(!) the guys decide to tell her they want her.
The 4 make it to the guy’s hotel room, but they blow it when she tells them she’s a virgin. She leaves in tears thinking that they only want someone with experience.
She can’t work with them again so she slips away to N.O. where her grandmother has left her a home in the French Quarter.
But one of the guys has been cyber-stalking her and knows the address.
In addition to the ridiculous plot, the 3 guys are all such baby men. For example, they come to blows with each other while she’s sobbing in the bathroom.

They great thing about this series is you go in to it knowing what to expect. The down side is it gets to feel format after a bit of time. Here we are on book six and it feels like the exact same story I have been reading since the beginning of the series. Sassy virgin curvy gal in distress saved by smexy billionaire menage guys with a flare for BDSM, insert different threat to her life and personal drama from the past for both her and the men. Maybe I need a break from this series.
It is still the fun well written series that I have always loved, it just feels too set up and packaged. Anabelle is the kind of gal I love to route for, it was just tough this go around. A high point is her dishy nerd Tate, he would have a serious restraining order if she did not dig him, but he is endearing in his social awkwardness. "I am going to offer her my penis" is definitely my fav line from the whole book!
The story is interesting and engaging, it is just too familiar. The facts are also fairly obvious and totally overlooked by the seemingly intelligent characters. Sorry, I was cranky during the read, I just expected more. I am worried that there is no growth to the series. I hope this book is just a fluke. Both authors are usually wonderful.
The narrative is mixed, we get everybody's POV throughout the story. I like this because it really gets you into all their heads and helps understand their unique perspectives.
The steam is off the charts hot, it just feels very been there done that. If you are more interested in the smexy stuff, this book will suit you. Loads of hot and heavy, pretty much right from the start. You will need several cold showers!
I listened to the audio-book and loved the narrator, Serena Daniels. She does a terrific job with the voices and when she reads the smexy Dom stuff, oh boy! And the accents this time were terrific. She really is a credit to the series and one of the reasons I kept listening.
At this point I think I need a break from this series. One can hope the series gets back to its greatness in the next book.

***Before you start reading this know there will be spoilers, it's almost 5 am and I am in no mood to sugar coat ish***
So the thing is this I probably would have skipped this book completely had I know that it would be dealing with paranormal... I don't do those books and have zero interest in them, but I did not realize it would take that sort of turn until about the 50-60% mark. I mean creepy house.. cool no biggy but everything else starts... quickly turns into not my cup of tea..
However I did finish the book... I didn't hate it but the storyline seemed... I don't know I guess simple would be the word I was looking for.. Now please note.. I have ZERO problems with the whole multiple partners in a relationship (I read nicole edwards book.. enough said :) but I guess what I was NOT prepared for is some of the bitchassness that was taking place... I will explain
You have Kellan... a Dom- Cool no problem there I could understand the use or need for his character to be a Dom.. it actually levels them out... HOWEVER he was the most whiniest dom I have ever read about I promise is "Woe is me" went on far too freaking long. I mean I get the past will sometime hinder your future BUT COME ON this dude outside of the bedroom was always "No I can't love, I can't do it, I want to do it, but I can't because I been hurt wa wa wa" Suck it up buttercup!! This crap drove me insane! I can deal with a dom with feelings, soft at times even but one a whinny one.. grinds my gears.
Oh and Belle... selfish as hell. and not in a sexual sense NOPE in a stump my feet on the ground because this is what I want to do and if you don't want to do it OH WELL. I was like um zero compromise from this chick.. not even considering going back to chicago.. lol
The saving grace for me... Tate! He was the nerd of the group and had zero filter and I loved his facts and percentages about everything.. I literally busted out laughing when he let them know that he was going to offer her his penis.. LOL good stuff good stuff.
I have no issues with Eric.. He as the peacemaker and it fit him well

I don't think Shayla Black and Lexi Blake can do no wrong when writing. Bring them together, and the book is so EXPLOSIVE!
Even though this one is not my favorite Masters of Menage, Tate is my all time favorite guy. He reminds me so much of my husband. He is so hot and has so problem getting women. However, if he has to talk to them he just says the funniest things that come out wrong.

Hmm… 3.75⭐️’s… rating is on current instinct… debating on the “official” rating at the moment.
That being said… I liked the unique plot outside of the romance side of the trope. Every one of the MC’s were very distinct and couldn’t be confused with one another. Strong and tender personalities that meshed very well and very distinctly with the FMC that made the relationship between the four a very believable scenario.
I also liked the author playing with the idea of the paranormal in a very “normal” human plot.
There were a lot of bits that I didn’t like. Making things angsty for no reason other than to drive faux nuance into the very obvious plot, got quite irritating… and repetitive.
Also… MAJOR issue I have in books where relationships include more than two people: THIRD PERSON PERSPECTIVE!! ITS THE WORST!!!!!!!!!!

To me, it makes it feel like the author doesn’t have any sort of emotional ties to any of the characters, therefore I shouldn’t. They say to write what you know (or fantasize) about. To me, 3rd person perspective gives me red flags that the author has ZERO emotional investment into the characters… and my analytical brain tells me “if they don’t have emotional ties, why should I?”
This book seems to verge on me giving leeway on my above opinion, but not quite.

Before any of you become too judgemental, I will admit that it's almost instinctual to see a menage book and think "verbal porn to get our socks off". But there is an exception to the rule: it's artistic literature when written by Shayla Black. The BDSM & Menage queen who never gets tired of wowing us with suspense and erotica. I can ensure you all that if you were to take out the sex, this would still be a fantastic suspense/mystery. I am willing to bet that the entire series is as good as book #6.

I really don't know why I continue to read this series because most of the time I find them extremely silly and not erotic at all. The series centers around a female virgin and 2 or more guys that are also Doms that want her. Most of the time they won't take no for an answer, one of them knows she is the one, and another has issues from his past that makes him believe it is impossible to share a woman. Oh, and the virgin is oh, so innocent and loving...don't forget submissive and needing more than one man to submit too. So my tongue is about to be bitten off as I write this and try to keep a straight face.Meet our virgin, Annabelle Wright. Annabelle works as an administrative assistant to the lawyers Tate Baxter, Eric Cohen, and Kellan Kent, our men and Doms in this story. Annebelle's in love with them all and doesn't think they notice her other than a friendly confidant and organizer. So at Annabelle's best friend's wedding (another virgin heroine), Annabelle come clean to the men about her innocence. Things happen and she runs off to New Orleans where her grandmother has left her a house that needs a lot of work.
Tate, Eric and Kellan aren't push overs so they follow of course. Not fond of their location, but wanting the woman, they set up a temporary office in her house and go about whooing her and mostly pushing her around. She's spunky. I'll giver her that. But things aren't on the up and up with the contractors leading to some romantic suspense thrown in with all the heartache of having a menage relationship.
So a little about each hero and my opinions of them all....
Eric, the peacemaker, easy going suave alpha who is manipulating everyone to get what he wants. He wants Annabelle to love them all and become a big frickin' family since Eric's family never really cared about him. In college he forms a bond with Tate.
Tate is a genius with no social skills. It makes him lovable when he blurts out stuff at inappropriate times. He just wants to love and fuck Annebelle. Bluntly and plainly. He's in love and all that other emotional crap isn't something he deals well.
Kellan is the problem man. He's got issues with his ex-wife getting pregnant by his father while they were still married. Then she marries the father. He's got a lot of trust issues and really only wants to have sex, dominate her and stay on the emotional outskirts. Thus he keeps trying to make a martyr of himself and not commit.
Out of them all, Tate was my favorite for being so blunt with what he wanted. Kellan I really wanted to tell him to go ahead a leave. Annabelle has other plans and this turns into a love fest with dicks flying everywhere. Sorry, I am having a hard time taking this too seriously.
If you love menage stories, this one is probably a good one. The series has gotten old and predictable to me. I find myself rolling my eyes and laughing more than really digging the story. If you want a serious menage, this isn't really it. Have fun with it, I think sometimes it is meant to be comedic.

Kinley helps her escape and Belle’s trio of alpha males are not happy about it. Even though they are not happy they are still in love with her. Of course it does not take long for Tate the technonerd to track Belle down. Kellan, Eric, and Tate are destined for apologies and groveling in order to win her back. This part cracks me up and the fact that Lexi and Shayla named Belle’s dog Sir.
“Kinley said you left with someone you called Sir,” Tate said. “But you were just being polite, right? You’re a very well-mannered woman. You wouldn’t have just met some random man and run off with him. I mean, if you waited twenty-six years to have sex, you’re probably not going to copulate with a stranger.”
“Tate, you’re not helping the situation, “ Kellan said.
It does not take long for the boys to set up shop and try to convince Belle that their relationship can work. They want her to move back to Chicago and be their girl. The problem is that Belle does not want to move back to Chicago. She wants to start a new life for herself in New Orleans and is not interested in being anyone’s secretary. So will the men be able to convince Belle of their love and that this crazy arrangement of theirs can work, or is it too late?

Once again, the writing team of Shayla Black and Lexi Blake has hit it out of the ballpark with the sixth book in the Masters of Ménage series, Their Virgin Secretary.
Steamy, poignant, and captivating, the book features four people from damaged backgrounds who manage to stumble their way through a relationship to form a family. The hub of the family is Annabelle Wright, whose father died when she was a child, and her mother shut down, shutting Bella out. Her only sustained connection has been her best friend Kinley, whom we met in Their Virgin Hostage. That is, until she goes to work for three attorneys, Tate, Kellan, and Eric.
For the past year, she has yearned for the three spectacular men, but has been afraid to approach them, thinking they only saw her as their efficient office administrator. Until Kinley’s wedding, when the three men decide they aren’t going to wait any longer to claim her. But each of them has their own troublesome past. Tate is a nerd, incredibly smart, who could never impress his family no matter what he achieved. He also has no filter and speaks pretty much everything that comes to his mind. Which is why when he wants to approach Belle, he plans to offer his penis. I fell in love with Tate, and his care for Belle.
Eric is the smooth operator of the group, but his home life was a disaster because his father only appreciated him for his athletic ability. He and Tate formed a bond in college and they both know Belle is the one for them.
Kellan, on the other hand, can’t trust any woman or any relationship because his father impregnated Kellan’s wife and married her as soon as the ink was dry on the divorce papers. He wants Belle, as his submissive and lover but he doesn’t want a commitment. But Belle is afraid that if Kellan doesn’t buy into the family, the entire family will fall apart.
Throw in a haunted New Orleans mansion, complete with ghosts who pat Tate and Eric on the butt, (and slap Kellan upside the head, a puppy named Sir; and an intriguing mystery and you have the ingredients for a funny, touching, lively story that will capture the reader from page one and have them wishing for more when it ends.

How many books can Lexi Blake and Shayla Black write with the same ménage theme without repeating the same old story line? Well, apparently it is AT LEAST SIX, because this book was great!!!! I was a bit nervous because I have had a lot of disappointing reads lately from multiple-book series as they get to this point (3+ books), but none of those have been from Shayla or Lexi! They incorporate a really fun back story into this that honestly had me unable to read without all the lights on, as well as three fun new men. Tate, by far my favourite. I mean, with lines like "You smell like sunshine" how could I not be laughing out loud while I fell in love with him? Kellan was a great tortured Dom and I loved him too. I didn't feel a ton of connection with Eric because he seemed to be a pretty neutral character, but at the same time, I think that was the POINT for Eric. To be the neutral one in the middle, always in the background but at the same time being the glue that holds the more "out there" and abrasive characters together. Like the neutron in an atom ;) He makes the whole thing work.
Another great read, steamy love scenes (though in this one the story line really did trump the sex - in a great way) and a cast of characters I loved :)

This is just gonna be a rant.
"we take her down"?!????!! Tf, that's how you want to express your love for this girl by telling your buddies y'all are gonna "take her down". That just made no sense
I read the previous book and I think I realize why these books don't do it for me. They talk a big game bout wanting to tie her up and do all the D/s stuff but they never really pull through. I just think it was very inconsistent and it annoyed me a bit. I wanted to dnf so many times but I hate unfinished stuff so I couldn't do it but man this dragged. And then it turned paranormal!?!?!? The hell, stay in your genre broo. Didn't connect with the characters a lot. Tate was borderline creepy and cute I didn't know what to think. Kellan was a little bitch throughout the whole thing and Eric wasn't memorable.

I found "Their Virgin Secretary" a most enjoyable read and a great addition to this wonderful series. The chemistry between the main.characters was easily felt. I fell in love with the geeky Tate. Some of the things he said were hilarious and made me chuckle often. When it came to Tate I laughed and cried when he shared some of his experiences. Eric was another standout character for me. His friendship, loyalty, care and understanding of Tate's differences was beautifully written. The storyline/plot was very good and held my attention from start to finish. Overall this is an excellent read and I highly recommend it.

As I'm a bit of a binge reader ,I've pretty much read this series one after the other. Don't. They all follow the same pattern and though with some it didn't bother me this felt dawn out, almost like a novella that's been stretch to fit into a full novel . I love both these authors but this book found me wanting a bit more. This book felt more like a young adult in genre with all its angst, frustration, and me just wanting to shake them or slap them upside the head a few times. Will it stop me from reading the next instalment? Not really as the characters are likeable and you find yourself rooting for them. Wanting them to get to the HEA .

I enjoyed this book, but I did not love it like I have the previous books in the series.....
For me this book was to over the place ....She was interested in them, then they reject her, go after her, then she rejects them etc etc....also with the huge paranormal aspect of the book, it was just to much for me....

I really did enjoy this book and the story, but out of all the 4 books I've read from this series I like it the least. Don't get me wrong, the scenes were just as hot as the others, but I think there was just something in the story plot that just didn't appeal to me as much as the other books.
