Never make a deal at the crossroads. But if you do, certainly never buy your riches with someone else’s pound of flesh.
The late thirties in the Deep South were hard, unforgiving times. But for Henry, Tanner, and Edgar, things have miraculously turned around. The only catch is that if they want to keep their good fortune, they have to tend to a … pet.
Aside from their nightly pet sitting duties, their lavish new lives in Shreveport have been gravy. Henry has his prestigious medical practice. Tanner has his slick, chromed-out Duesenberg dealership. And Edgar has two grocery stores that are the epitome of modernity. The wealthy and influential folk of the Louisiana town have welcomed the three with open arms and wallets. Which, in the middle of the Great Depression, is no small feat. Especially when the three are full of shady secrets and lies.
Tonight, Henry is hosting a Halloween party for the elite, and the three friends must feed their little pet before they join the party. When things get out of hand, their pet slips her leash. And once it’s snapped, all hell will break loose.
'Mine' is a gruesome erotic extreme horror novella in the style of Hellraiser, written from the perspective of the “Monster” but will leave you wondering who the real monster truly is. Is it you, dear Listener?
No spoilers. 5 stars. The one once known as Maureen was not yet complete. She was a collection of flawed parts...
But Henry said that he could make her perfect...
Henry and his friends Tanner and Edgar and the bull (you'll understand when you read the book) had been having sex with her for several hours...
And she reveled in it...
Soon, Henry would inject her with her life-sustaining medications with his thrusts...
He had taken her down from the shelf and began assembling the parts that were her, like putting together a puzzle...
Her various parts were taken from graveyards, Henry's patients, and unlucky vagrants...
And...
On some rare occasions, parts would be taken from a live woman...
The operating table she was born on was in Henry's opulent study with all the luxury the 1930s had to offer...
Henry's table was polished with cum, blood, sweat, and vomit. Sometimes Edgar and Tanner would couple with her on that table...
While Henry watched...
Afterward, Henry would pull her apart at the seams and put her away, back on the shelf...
One day, Henry says, he will make her perfect. Her only perfect part so far is her tight throat, which the three men and the bull use regularly...
She has no ears, so she can't hear, but she can watch Henry with her eyes, which float in a jar of Formaldehyde...
Her teeth were an inconvenience, so they were removed...
She is sustained by the sweet drippings from the men's c***s. With every drop, they become more and more hers...
Soon, they will be like all the other body parts that make up her: hers. She is so close now...
Tonight will be hers... and all the nights thereafter will be hers, too...
On Halloween, the most arcane of nights, her pneuma (spirit) will welcome her soma (body, meat)...
This was a surprisingly excellent and well-written novella. This story had many elements to it. It had erotic horror, extreme horror, occult demon worship, and folklore. In addition, it was like a retelling of FRANKENSTEIN.
I found Mine by Rose Reaper, unclear at times. I had to guess many sections of the story. I like the writing style, but some elements could have been more developed. I would have liked it to be explained how she became this entity. I didn't understand what was happening sometimes, during the sexual scenes, and when she confronted her attackers. Still, I really like the idea of an evil thing being captured and mistreated, until it gets its revenge.
I knew when i seen it was Erotic Horror that the level of deprivation was going to be good. This was a first for me and it was so good, it had me clutching my imaginary pearls, with my jaw on the floor.
Me being greedy I could have gone for more. The spin at the end truly surprised me!
Mine is definitely a gate way drug to reading more Erotic Horror.
‘Saucy Victorian Goth vibes: Three men, one woman… and a Demon.’
A quite unique, short, sexually explicit horror story about greed, desire and possession.
Lots to enjoy, but a lack of back story regarding certain elements, coupled with a strangely confusing time line, made the whole tale quite difficult to follow at times until it all became clear near the end of the escapade.
Well written and very imaginative - definitely something different for patrons visiting the world of erotic horror to salivate over, whilst satiating their thirst for blood, gore and carnal depravity with enthusiastic relish.
A great idea which unfortunately just lacked a little in execution. Planning to read more from this author in future.
Thank you for the recommendation, Nikki! - from me and my extra body parts looking down on me from above. Much appreciated.
Rating: 3.5 devilishly bullish stars of crazy insanity.
Horrific. Depraved. Macabre. Pitch black. Not easily digestible & difficult to read. Most pages I had to read twice, sometimes out loud, to REALLY understand the gravity of what was happening.
Think Frankensteins Monster had a baby with Edgar Allen Poe & Ann Rice - and that monster baby told you its story.
Wow. Talk about 'you reap what you sew' (pun intended). I'm a huge fan of Cáceres and I love this first entry from her penname, Rose Reaper. There's not much I feel I can say without giving spoilers but I loved the view from the FMC/monster's perspective. It was only about 70 pages, but it didn't lack substance amongst the sexual situations. It had the verbose, engaging prose I've come to love this author for to cushion the brutal, depressing tale of a monstrous being finding the broken pieces of themself and putting those pieces back together. But make no mistake, her prose is the only cushion you'll find in this story. Check your triggers and if they fit what you're looking for, dive on into the vulgar freak show Rose Reaper has crafted.
I had the most delightful epiphany whilst reading this book that explains my somewhat recent deep dive into vøre & the…darker side of obsession.
It’s no secret I’m obsessed with Edgar Allen Poe & yet I just realized that these type of books are modern love letters to his macabre writing genius.
Books like these paint such an unbelievably gruesome, deranged, disgusting scene yet the words used to do so feel like velvet on your tongue.
This book wasn’t one you just devoured because the prose was pretty hard to break apart in your head but I LOVE the way it forced me to slow down & savor what this author was actually saying.
Even going past the writing itself, the PLOT was genius. I loved the idea of starting such a short story towards the end so you could adequately enjoy the climax of the journey.
The idea that the villains of this story were unwittingly yet enthusiastically feeding the very monster that would devour them in the end was so foreboding & exciting it was like a buzz.
Such a unique & truly unforgettable read. Am 100% disgusted & nauseous but have zero regrets.
This was beautifully written and deliciously gruesome. A surprising but very welcomed feminine revenge erotic horror story that I ate up!
A group of 3 men made a deal at the crossroads. They were granted immense success in their respective careers/endeavours in exchange for a body, not any one of their bodies though no, they sacrificed someone else’s for their own gains, and their only task to ensure they keep their success.. to look after a new ‘pet’ they acquired through this deal, by assembling their sex doll pet and feeding it with their blood and cum every night, and then disassembling each part and store it away from the others until the next night.
One night though, one of the guys decides to go off script and take things a bit too far and they soon discover how big of a mistake that was.
I love this authors writing so I’m not surprised that I loved this erotic horror novella, it was great. I will always also love a good feminine revenge story against men that use woman for their own gains and for me this hit.
It is gory but in a very classy and feminine way if that makes sense. The author paints great imagery, vivid and intense and I highly recommend!
Disclaimer: I received a free e-book in exchange for the possibility of this review. This is my honest review.
This book took erotic and made it its own genre. The mythology and research taken into a account when reading this novel is absolutely Barun. It is so well done and so complex that it had me on the Internet researching mythology resulted in this amazing story.
Remember, this is erotic horror, so you're going to have a high spice level with some very horrific elements. This novel delivered on all fronts. The spice was written very well, and it was not in any way cringey or unsettling. It managed to weave the mythology into the spice so you were getting hit from all sensory angles. I was very entertained by all of this novel.
It is very difficult to accomplish so much in such a short word count. But this author did that so well, I was completely entertained, not only by the erotic elements, but the horrifying elements as well. Again, the mythology associated in such a small novel and throughout the entire plot line was immaculate.
If you like erotic or steeped in ancient mythology that makes you wonder and works your brain from all angles and this is a must read
So hear me out, I definitely feel morally compromised about luving this story, but the heart likes what it likes. This is an erotic horror novella written from the pov of the “monster”. It’s a lil messed up, gruesome, and WTFish. I spent the first half wondering like what in the what is happening here? I was highly intrigued and could not stop reading. Then the second half happened and things fell into place and more of the back story is revealed. All I’m gonna say is that Karma is a b**ch, and when she comes it’s with full force. This is a wild ride perfect for your spooky season TBR!
I went in blind, reading this after avidly following this authors works under her other pen name. I was pleasantly surprised, mildly uncomfortable, and pretty shook by the end. I don’t want to ruin the book, (because I personally felt like it was even better for me going in blind). But I’m dying to talk about all this book with someone! So these are not really a spoilers, but these were some of my thoughts.
Stop reading now if you want to go in blind….
By the end I was like damn this book tells the same wise tale of decent women being screwed over by man, and then her wrath unfurling like with a force that could take down nations. I could give a million example through-out history. Feminist Frankenstein also comes to mind.
Anyhow if anyone wants to discuss with me I’d be super open, because wow! 🤯
Um…yep….um…holey moley. Wild story. This story was quite a journey. There are books that are pure filth, and just there for that sole purpose of tantalizing your erotic senses. There are also books that are meant to instill terror, or shock you with their gruesomeness. MINE definitely hit on both. The author’s masterful use of the English language was absolutely delicious. The characterization of inanimate objects, the way you never had a clue of what would happen next…All together, this is one story that will forever live in my head.
Holy fudge. I don't know what to say about this erotic horror novella. I don't know if I liked it, but I couldn't stop reading either.
I have never felt so close to vomiting from a book before. There's gore, assault, body horror, and a collection of characters I sincerely hope only ever existed on these pages.
But I kind of enjoyed myself nevertheless? At times a lot towards the end?
⭐ 3.5 🌶️ 4 😂 0 🧅 0 🤢 4
Unlikely to read again, might read more from the author, unlikely to recommend due to nature of content (ie check warnings, you might like it if you enjoy the genre).
This novella left me with that pikachu face from start to finish because WHAT?! The time this author took to describe everything in heavy detail while keeping everything under 70 pages left me speechless. Came for the erotic, stayed for the horror and the revenge 🫣
ARC review: Dark, vile and extremely graphic... I loved it. The writing is impeccable as is the author's other works under a different pen name. I was so excited to see I got my hands on this before the release date. CHECK THOSE CWs!!! This book is absolutely not for those with a queasy stomach.
Short, and anything but sweet! I’ve read every book this author has under a different pen name, and they can do no wrong 🖤🖤 this novella came together perfectly in the end, divine retribution and feminine fucking rage ☺️🫶🏼
This erotic horror novella is absolutely depraved! If you’re looking for a quick read for spooky season and don’t mind the paragraph long trigger warnings; then by all means, read this!
A grotesquely artistic portrayal of feminine rage that would make Mary Shelley proud, Mine is a cautionary tale against abusing others to achieve your own goals. Author Rose Reaper weaves a poetic horror that begs the reader to peel back the gore and dive deeper.
