Vegas Wolf Pack #2

Fate Awakened: Vegas Wolf Pack Series, Book Two

Rate this book
Missing something? Tell me…What is her life worth?

Cain

I failed her. I need to fix this. The only reason she is caught up in this mess is because of my pack, my enemies, my secrets I’ll stop at nothing to keep them from destroying the only thing that matters to me. My Mate. What I fear most is that my betrayal will be too much, and she’ll never forgive me.

Bri

I thought he was different. I trusted him, and he turned out to be just like all the others. Not that any of that matters anymore because I’m a hostage in a world surrounded by murderers, kidnapping, and secrets. As I discover the truths once hidden in plain sight, I wonder what my future will hold now. That is, if I have a future.

Deception, ransom, and a search for the truth drive these two warring wolf packs to the brink. Nothing like a little blackmail between packs to settle old scores. Can Bri fight her way out of the darkness? Will she accept the truths that lay deep within her? Or will Cain’s duplicity force her to reject this path and forge a new future?

Amanda Nichole

Amanda Nichole is the author of the Vegas Wolf Pack Series. Her style combines paranormal romance with a bit of spice. She believes her characters guide her stories and let them run amok, busting outlines, rewriting timelines, and even causing series headaches. While writing was a passion she came to find later in life, her love for reading has always been a huge part of who she is.

Amanda Nichole spends her days teaching middle school English Language Arts, and her nights and weekends chasing around her three wild children and husband, often on the slopes with a snowboard. In stolen moments in between, she sneaks in a chapter or two to satisfy the need to tell her characters’ stories. Amanda lives her life trying to soak up every possible moment, and because of this, requires an exorbitant amount of caffeine to fuel her busy schedule. Most of all, Amanda hates talking about herself in the third person and is also terrible at tooting her own horn.

I can’t say a bad thing about this book! Such an emotional whirlwind of events. When I found out this book was primarily set around the first 48 hours after the ending of the book one in the series I was skeptical. But the plot and the story line from different point of views and details were well thought out and very easy to follow. I did not want to put the book down!!! The character development was outstanding when it came to additional main characters other than Bri and Cain. I can’t wait to see what happens next in the Vegas wolf pack series

So much to say! First Amanda did it again. Second It starts much slower than I expected but as some point I realized it was 2 am and I was emotionally distraught! The interwoven lives of the members of the Vegas pack was a lot to keep straight in my head but added so much depth to the characters. When I buy the physical copy, there will be much tabbing and highlighting!
It’s hard to say more without spoiling Fate Awakened. I was here for the character development, the nuances of how the shifter community works and a peek into potential relationships between other pack members and maybe even a human? Who knows!

I received and ARC in exchange for an honest review. All options are my own.

Grabbed my attention from page 1!

Fate Awakened continues on from where book 1 left off with Bri being taken. Cain is in absolute panic trying to find her. You can literally feel the torment of both characters right from the beginning. The emotions conveyed throughout the entire book make these characters come to life.

I like that in this book, you get an insight of some of Bri’s past trauma and the reasons why she feels the way she does about herself. You also get a few snippets about Cain as well.

I should point out that I love the references throughout the books from movies to tv shows, to real life products (I’m a white zero sugar monster drinker myself 🙃).

I also enjoyed getting the POV from a few of the other characters(ie Dante, Keith). This dynamic built a few more layers to the story.

Oh, and I can’t forget the “back from the dead” character that was newly introduced! He’s going to be a good one!

I guess you could say, overall I really enjoyed this book! It’s fast paced and I couldn’t put it down!

Definitely read Book 1: Unawakened Fate first as this one picks up where it left off.

I was gifted an ARC copy of this book. This honest review and all opinions are of my own.

***I am an ARC Reader***

I loved this book so much and devoured it so quickly I had to go back and re-read to notice that there is NO SPICE! I know that could turn some of you off, but trust me, this is worth reading!!

Fate Awakened picks right up where Unawakened ended as follows the next few days. Let me tell you, it’s a dang roller coaster of a ride! The action, the desperation, the frustration, gah! I also loved the additional point of views outside of our MC’s. It makes the story much more well-rounded. I don’t want to give too many spoilers, just trust me and read this series!

This one was definitely a roller coaster of emotions. Cried a couple of times but it was still such a wonderful read! Don’t think I can wait forever for book 3. I’m glad I found an author who can keep my interest with shifters. I would definitely recommend this series to others. ❤️

I can’t wait to see what comes next and how the story progresses 😫

Whaaaaaaat?

You can't end this here. I was prepared for a resolution or a wolf or something. I have so many unanswered questions that I need answered now. This book continues following this period of Brielle's life as well as Cain, Dante, Kevin, Presley, and the rest. So much is crammed into these pages. It's a whirlwind of ups, downs, and even sideways emotions.

This book was intense, in the best way possible.

As the reader, we pick up from where book 1 ends, so if you have not read that book, you will certainly need to read before you pick this story up.

What I loved about this book was that it was told from numerous points of view but they all ran in a similar time frame. You got to see just what each character was thinking with the added insight of what some of the other characters were going through as they were experiencing the situation. It gave a really unique perspective that opens the reader to a wider view of what was happening. I also really liked how while you got those multiple points of view for the same timeframe, there was still an element of surprise at the height of the story. Everything that happens certainly leads you down the path to believing one thing but there is something that throws everything off the tracks and keeps the reader guessing- and there was certainly one moment that really had me on my toes waiting and hoping that something terrible did not happen.

This story really lays the groundwork for the final book in the series, especially at the end. Secrets are revealed and you are left wondering if our MC's are going to be able to repair all the damage that is done and accept the new trajectory life has presented them. I can't wait to see just how this story is going to end. One thing is certain though, there are so many more questions I have and I am really hoping that after we are done with Cain and Brielle's story that we get to see more from this pack (especially from Pres and Keith!)

Fate Awakened is the second book in the amazing series Amanda Nichole created. I am here for the third! This series has to be read in order, but you won’t be disappointed by starting at book one and continuing on. I fell in love with Bri and Presley in book one. I’m here for girl power. This book gives us some answers, but there are so many more questions too. I love that we got a sneak peek into Bri’s past. I feel like more of that will come into play in the third story.
Cain is beside himself, as any wolf who’s found his mate would be. He is on a tear and not taking the words calm and patient as an answer. I love how Amanda made some "mate" things come into play with their linking of thoughts. Neither understood or realized it, but it was a fun twist I hadn’t read in a PRN story before they bonded.
We find out more about Keith’s involvement, and I have to wonder if he has a mate out there somewhere.
I am thrilled to have had a chance to beta read this book and cannot wait to see what Amanda does in book 3. This series is becoming one of my favorites, and I know once it’s complete, I’ll reread it from the beginning again. The mystery behind the tech and other things keeps you on your toes. I also feel like it is all tied together in some way, and that has me excited for what’s to come.

Great book. Brielle and Hudson at the beginning of this book. I didn’t know what was going to happen there. When they got to where they were going and she took off in the woods I thought she was going to get away. She ran into a man in woods and she was just as shocked as he was that they were in each other’s presence. She was confused seeing someone in the woods and he was confused because she was on his property. When he lead her back to where she started she was confused and trying to figure out how to get away. Ghost was a great character and protector. She didn’t realize what he was. But as soon as her told her his dog slept in the room I had a feeling he was one and the same. She was surprised when he came in the room and wouldn’t lay down until she gave him attention. So much happened after that. With Hudson negotiating a trade with Tony to get his parents back. When they met up Dante somehow knew that Brielle was there to be traded. So they made their own deal. That didn’t turn out as planned. I won’t ruin the good parts. But this was really good. Can’t wait to read the next one to see what happens and what Brielle decides.

This is the 2nd book of the Vegas Wolf Pack Series and starts where book 1 ends...so if you have NOT read book 1, I recommend doing that before reading this book because you will be confused.
*Read the trigger warnings before reading this book, if you can handle them, then get ready because this book gives you everything!!! There's kidnapping, betrayal, death, drama and so much more.
I have to say I love Bri's resilience, because in life...no matter what is thrown her way, she is gonna figure things out...and Cain has my heart!! He's so determined but takes Bri's future plans into consideration which ultimately hurts their relationship more than helps it... This book is a roller coaster of emotions, because you don't know what's going to happen next!!! I can't wait for book 3!!
* Warning- this book does end on a cliffhanger so be prepared for that*

This book was PHENOMENAL!

Amanda Nichole is fucking talented!!! There was no spice in this book and I didn’t care at all because I was invested in the story. That takes talent and Amanda has it in spades!

The characters, the world building, the backstory, the writing, it all pulls you in.

You will cry, scream, sob, laugh, have your heart broken, and put back together, and you will love every minute of it because this book is fucking awesome.

Being sick made me a slow reader but when I got to feeling better I devoured this book and really read most of it in 1-2 days. If I weren’t sick and had the chance to just sit and read with no distractions, I would’ve read this in one sitting.

Left me an emotional wreck

Bri, a call center representative, is the unfortunate victim of a kidnapping after running from Cain, an Alpha shifter, that wormed his way into her life during the events that occurred in Unawakened Fate.  As the story progresses he takes things a step too far,  she gets sick of the car, and as they draw closer to reuniting their feelings may just cause them to scar. Fate Awakened left me an emotional wreck as the characters navigated the minefield of lies that started to detonate.

I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

We start off where book one left us. Cain is searching for Bri and going a little crazy from being away from her. Bri wakes up in a car with Hudson and starts trying to figure out to escape. She feels a connection with Cain even though she doesn’t realize it at first. Hudson takes her to a cabin where she gets a chance to escape through the woods and run into Ghost a mystery strange. Not only is she a pawn between two packs. And when final realize what they are and what she is will not only change her life but also Cain. I love everything about this book. And can’t wait for the next one.

This book was such a whirlwind! The majority of the book takes place during the 48 hours after the end of book one. You see and hear from many different side characters and how they feel about the situation. Do make sure you check your trigger warnings. There is a lot more in this than there was in book one. On that note, there is no spice included in this part of the story. I tend to like spice, but it felt like this was the right choice. I love her writing. I love her storytelling. I loved getting to meet the new characters. I am a fan, and I will be waiting with bated breath for the end of the trilogy. I cannot wait to see what happens next!

I NEED BOOK #3 NOW!!! This was suppose to be a filler book just to end the month but I was immediately sucked into the series and managed both books in a week and a half. So many questions that I need answers to! This one started a bit slower than book one but the information and twists in this one just kept me reading and reading. Great author and will definitely check out her other works.

Book Two starts where Book One ended. Brielle is in Hudson's clutches and hoping for the drugs to wear off so she can figure out how to get out this mess. There is a lot that comes out of this book. Readers will find out the reasons and motivations behind Hudson's actions. Brielle and Hudson run into a old friend of the Vegas Pack that allows them to be informed of some of the things going on. Hudson plans to take Brielle to the one place no one wants her to go, the Reno Pack. Deacon Marlowe has his hands in a lot of unsavory pots. Deacon is an alpha and will be able to detect that Brielle is unawakened. They need to get her away from him before he detects what she is and tries to wake her wolf.

Cain is still on edge and his wolf is constantly on the verge of killing someone. The Vegas Pack council is finally let in on the whole Brielle situation. Presley still holds some guilt about making Brielle run. Dante knows he has a pack to run and take care of. This situation could turn into a huge battle for power.

Thankfully this is not the end. There are several more books in this series. Right before I started writing this review, I had to check because I needed more. This book doesn't necessarily end on a cliffhanger but there are some things left open. I need closure for everything. Please Ms. Amanda don't leave us hanging. We have to know! I also have a few thoughts about other couples in the book. I need to see what will happen with that as well. I am all in with the series if you can't tell. I will be anxiously waiting for the next book in this series.

The second book in the Vegas Wolf Pack series was much more interesting than expected and I was hooked from Chapter 1. I also enjoyed the ongoing romantic and character development tension as the plot delved deeper into the backgrounds of Bri and Cain.
It was intriguing to read from multiple characters' POV as well. I'm eager to see how some of the plot threads get woven in the future. The ending satisfied just enough while leaving the reader wanting more.
Honestly, this is the first supernatural fated mates series that I've enjoyed this much, perhaps because of the setting (Nevada), perhaps because of the appeal of the characters twenty-something ages and personalities. I can't wait for book 3 and can also envision this as a streaming series!
I was gifted an ARC copy of this book. The opinions are mine and unsolicited.

How????? This book does not have one spicy scene in it. And I want to pick it back up and read it again! How does the author do this??
Awakened Fate is my new favorite book. The second book in the Vegas Pack Series by Amanda Nichole.
The plot in this story was incredible, I was on the edge of my seat for 80% of this book. Just waiting for shit to hit the fan… and it hit the fan. The rivalry made the fight scene in this book nail biting! Wow!
The characters were just phenomenal, dialogue was funny, emotional, and tear jerking. I’m hoping we are gonna branch into some side character books at some point because I love every single side character.
I do not have one complaint about this book, not even the no spicy scenes part of it. Fate Awakened doesn’t need those scenes. It’s a page turning story all on its own.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended!

I devoured this in less than a day.

I was so excited for book 2 in this series and it did not disappoint! I truly felt so heartbroken for the different characters throughout this story, and although I wasn’t sure about the different pov’s at first, they added so much depth to the storyline.

Having the main characters split up for most of the book really built up a lot of tension. I’ve got to say I’m a big fan of Ghost as well, and I hope he’s going to play a big part in the rest of the series.

I am DESPERATE for book 3, and I’m also really excited to see what comes of the brewing tension between Kieth and Pres… I’m I do love a good enemies to lovers trope!

I have zero words. This book is amazing. I’m always scared that second books aren’t going to be as good as the first, but that’s not the case. This book is JUST AS AMAZING as the first one. I love this series so much, I’m gonna need Mrs. Amanda to type a lil faster on book 3, I’m not sure if I can wait until 2024!

This book is the second book, so please read Unawakened Fate first.

Book 2 in this series does not disappoint. This will likely be the most vague review but I hope it still conveys how much I enjoyed this book. It picks up where we left off. Cain desperatetly trying to find Brie. Brie trying to understand why she has been kidnapped and how she can get away. I love the additional character perspectives we get here too for Dante, pack Alpha and Keith, one of Brie's besties. Keith was an unexpected choice but who knows what the rest of the series is setting up with for this character. And I especially love the introduction to a certain new character that I hope we see again in future books. I am a sucker for a loner.

While this one has no spice, it still has you on the edge of your seat. Will Cain and Brie find each other again before something horrendous happens? Can they overcome the misunderstanding in the first book that brought them here? How will the secrets that have been kept so far drive them together or apart?

And we are warned going in that this will be a cliffhanger but I could deal with this cliffhanger so much better than the one we got with book 1. There was enough of a conclusion within this portion of the story to leave me satisfied even if I still want more.

Be prepared to need to read this all in one sitting, because once you drop back into the story where we left Bri and Cain, you won’t be able to put it down and walk away until your done.

Fate Awakened is a fast-paced, adrenaline filled follow up to Unawakened Fate. With each page bringing more tension filled situations, Bri’s fate is in the hands of Cain’s enemies in a fight she never even knew existed. The stakes haven’t been higher for the Vegas pack in a long time, and those stakes and politics surrounding her kidnapping and unawakened status is putting Dante and Cain through the wringer, let alone the bigger implications to the safety and security of the pack.

As one high intensity moment leads to the next, you won’t be able to guess what happens next nor how it will end! Spoiler alert - it’s angsty, punches you in the gut, and maybe you’ll let loose a tear or two.
