Anyone who loves music will appreciate this light-hearted, upbeat book about why we humans sing. What does it do for us? We sing in many ways and places, alone or together. Music teachers of young children will love this as will their parents.

Thank you to Libro.fm and Harper Collins for the ALC

this was a really well done audiobook, which I think is hard with picture books! the narrators (the authors of the book) were engaging and fun, and I loved the background singing, especially when it was used to demonstrate the different types of song.

I received an ARC of this book for my honest opinion.

I loved this simple book with its simple question: Why do we sing? The bubbly illustrations make this book fun to look at while also taking us around the world to different religions, cultures, and traditions that involve singing. It really is a simple, fun way to explore a possibly difficult question on why humans sing and why it is important. Great for music lovers, singers, and any little one who needs inspiration to let their voice sing.

One of the most gorgeous illustrated books I own. Love it and the theme couldn't be better. Singing is a language that is common to all of us, there are so many reasons why we sing, the authors explore all the possibilities with an uplifting and an amazing message. The album has musics with diverse cultural influences and styles, from bollywood to camp songs. Love this.
Have I mentioned how amazing the illustrations are?

This married duo both writes and performs this amazing picture book/audiobook about the reasons why people sing. I highly recommend purchasing both for your library—no matter the age!

A bright and vibrant book about singing. The artwork is very colorful and ecstatic. The artwork feels like when you are singing and in that place of glee. It catches that feeling of that otherwordly feeling. Singing connects us to universally being human. We can actually feel what other people feel. We can share an emotion as a group. Singing is amazing.

This is really a story. It's simply and ode to singing. It explores all the different ways humanity sings, the shower, the stage, around the campfire. Song is universal. They make this a universal story as well bringing in all cultures and people from around the world. This helps us truly be one people.

It's a beautiful book.

Gorgeous book, gorgeous songs. I can't say enough good things about this book, as well as the accompanying album. The pictures are beautiful. They'll inspire curiosity in any child to learn more about the different vocal traditions depicted. And they'll get a jumpstart with the album. The songs are catchy and fun, and they cover different styles like campfire songs, lullabies, opera, K-pop, and sea shanties.

This was a book about why they sing around the world. For me, it wasn’t my forte (haha) anyways, not really my thing, but it connects better with those that do sing.
