Season of the Vampire #3

A Symphony of Savage Hearts: Fae Guardians, Season of the Vampire, Book 3

Rate this book
Silver is a beautiful liar.

She's human.

And a fierce killer of fae.

She marks her kills on a silver vambrace so everyone can see her savagery and stay away. As long as she keeps protecting downtrodden humans from monstrous fae-folk, and hiding the true reason for wearing magic-cutting silver, her loneliness is of no consequence. Selected for a high priority mission, she bravely heads into Elphyne, never expecting one of their worst waiting for her. Wanting her. Craving her.

Shade is sinfully attractive.

He's a vampire.

And the most hard to resist of the Fae Guardians.

From the Queen's bed to The Order, he uses the power of sex to get what he wants. Eventually they all succumb, and they all fall short of harmonizing with the darkness hidden in his soul…until he finds the one woman who resists his every charm.

Seducing Silver will be a challenge, but it's one he was made for.

Nothing will get in his way. Not the evil creature terrorizing Elphyne. Not the human enemy with dastardly plans of their own. Not the Unseelie Queen’s obsession with him. Not even the betrayal of the one person who can hurt him the most.

This courting of savage hearts is a symphony.

And theirs will be one for history.

"My darkness dances with yours."

5 stars!!

I honestly cannot say enough great things about this amazing series! It is absolutely one of my favorites, and Lana continues to write heart-stopping and sexy stories that I love to devour. Shade and Silver's story starts right after the events of ALOFAT, with Shade leaving in search of his human mate with guidance from Clarke. Unlike her predecessors, Silver is fully entrenched in human matters; she lives in Crystal City where metals and plastics are encouraged and firmly believes that the fae are the enemy. However, all of her firm beliefs are challenged when she is sent on a mission to infiltrate the Order of the Well and comes face to face with Shade....
She was his sole purpose in life. He didn't give a shit about anything else, and he wasn't sorry about that. That was the darkness inside him. He was selfish and tended to go all in. He wanted someone to love, and she was it.

Shade is one of the vampire Guardians of the Well and has the ability to manipulate shadows and move through them unseen. He's cocky, domineering, and confident in the Well's decision to give him Silver as his mate...even though he's sure she's hiding something. Unsurprisingly, I absolutely LOVED Shade!! I'm such a sucker for a dominating bad boy with a soft center, and Shade's tenderness with Silver was so beautiful and sexy. So, so sexy.
Their lovemaking became a promise between savage hearts now beating in their own symphony. No matter what war raged, who was fighting, in the future or the past, they would be together on the same side, creating music of their own.

As usual, Lana succeeds brilliantly in luring you in with sexy promises of romance while silently slaying you with unforeseen twists and reveals that will leave your heart reeling. I loved the slow building of trust and love that develops between Shade and Silver as they gradually allow themselves to be vulnerable. Even though Silver experiences great moments of self-realization and growth, her unwillingness to compromise her beliefs lead her to some serious mistakes that she's determined to fix. I loved seeing glimpses of all of the couples so far, especially my Indigo babe and Rush! And I just want to say that I cannot believe Lana left us hanging where she did, but I am so freaking stoked for the Elves trilogy next!! ♡

My darling Shade, the gorgeous and domineering vampire Guardian...

I just love the Fae Guardian world and I'm super invested in the overall story line. Don't get me wrong, I love the individual romances, but I much prefer the story arc in its entirety.

A Symphony of Savage Hearts is the last in the season of the vampires book, making way for the new season. I honestly couldn't be more excited. I loved the vampires, but I'm ready to move on to the elves. My heart is ready.

Shade and Silver were an interesting couple. I enjoyed reading their story, even if they weren't my favorite couple. Still liked them a lot! I liked the tension between the two of them and the gradual falling in love.

I was so upset when a certain character was taken! If she is not returned soon, I'm going to riot! I'm in need of the best book to see what happens!

Wasn't bad, but I wasn't too interested to continue on. Maybe it's best if you read from Book 1, forming a bond with the characters, then perhaps you'll appreciate the series more. Military chicks aren't my thing.

This one grabbed me by the throat! I am just sad I'm almost caught up now..

Shade & Silver were fire and ice and I was here for every moment of it.

This series has really gone downhill for me. It feels like there is no build up now that we have an established world and all know about the fated mates trope.

It just jumped right in to being overly sexual, without establishing any rapport. Case and point: male lead chases female lead for 2 hours, eventually catches her and IMMEDIATELY, without any sort of conversation, spanks her. A fucking stranger! I don't care how hot he is, that's not something you do to a woman you just met.

I was so creeped out after that and couldn't get into the rest of the story. I think I made it half way before giving up. Pretty disappointing for a series I initially really liked.

Well, Shade & Silver have officially become my favorite book in the Fae Guardians series. I keep saying it each book, this series just keeps on getting better & better. Silver brings such a different perspective to what is going on in this amazing fantasy world that Lana Pecherczyk has created. Up until now, we have seen the world mostly from the Fae side of this post-apocalyptic future, now we know what is going on in the human settlement. War is never black and white, it is grey & no one side is 100% right. Silver really helps to bring this to light for the Fae side of the war.

There is so much going on in this book, and it is definitely the steamist that we have seen so far. That ending left me reeling, I really need the next book ASAP. We get a number of surprises in this book that have made me so excited for the Season of the Elves.

Also, can I officially put in my request for more of the Sluagh! I seriously need more of this group of Fae.

I am absolutely loving these Guardians/Seasons/story arc. It has been so much seeing the individual romances but the whole storyline in general is great too. I know it will all come to an end sooner rather than later and I'm legit sad thinking about it. But enough about that...let's bring on the simping.

Shade is a vampire Guardian. Done and done. I'M KIDDING (maybe LOL). He can move through the shadows sight unseen. He knows who his mate is. He knows where she is. And he is not waiting for her to come to him. He wants her and he wants her NOW. Oh and there may be a certain Unseelie Queen that he used be a consort for who may or may not be obsessed with him (Oopsie doodle).

Silver is another human shot forward from the past. But unlike the other women she didn't find a place among the fae. She is in Crystal City. And she's known for being a fae killer (GASP!). For the first time we get to see inside the human city and see what other havocs this war has reaped. Now she's leaving the human city on an important mission...and she has a secret.

We have reached the end of the Season of the Vampire BUT the ride isn't over yet. Bring on the elves!

4.5 ✨

Almost perfection for fantasy romance. What a great ending for the Season of Vampires. I loved it way more than the wolves (but reading in order is important). Can't wait for the Elves now.

Silver is an assassin/soldier for the humans. She's well respected, and hides her gift of darkness by a silver corset. She hates all fae, and is on a mission to steal from the Order.

Shade was informed that his mate lives in Crystal City (the only place he is unable to go) so logically he camps out for months at the hope she will leave. When she does, Shade is set that will never let her go. His plan involves taking his past training and finding her weakness that will have her stay.

Set up to a similar feeling as Bridge Kingdom. The beginning is full enemies to lovers with Silver changing her mind to try to betray Shade. It's full of plot twist with the mad queen and the humans. My only downfall is the ending, it felt rush between Shade and the humans.

Season of Vampires
Book 1🌟🌟🌟🌟
Book 2 🌟🌟.5
Book 3 🌟🌟🌟🌟.5

I was looking forward to this one, but was disappointed. I was annoyed and angry at characters and felt as if their whole relationship story was a bit rushed and background stuff was more focused on, which is ok I guess but... it just felt off.

I don’t know what to say !! This one was so dark compared to the others, from the beginning to the end, you just wait to see what will happen, there is anguish all around which deepens, even more, the story.

There is darkness inside of Silver, alongside guilt, she represses all her feelings, and contrary to Peach and Violet, she joined Crystal City and started to build weapons for the humans. However, we finally have elements from the city itself and the people living in it which is gonna be essential for what will be coming. As she has been given a secret mission related to the Order, she stumbled on Shade who was waiting for her outside the city. Shade lives in shadows, they’re part of himself, he likes to seek what people really want, he never had to ask for sustenance, females come to him willingly, and his next target will be his mate. He was in search of power, he found it but recognised that he didn’t truly need it, his mate is everything to him, the answer to all his desires, and aspirations. Their trust is built on fights, blood, tears, love, acceptance… it was as beautiful as it was terrifying.

I really love and enjoy this series, I cannot wait to see what is coming, the Season of the Elf is next and it will be as epic as every other book !!!

Her fury would not be tamed.

Silver tried living in Elphyne when she woke in this time, but soon becomes a danger to others & flees to the human city Crystal City to keep herself in check. Over the years she has develop something of a reputation as one to avoid. Because of this is she is tasked to go into Elphyne on a very important mission. A mission that will change her world in ways she was not prepared for.

Shade has been waiting for his mate since he knew of her existence & now after months of waiting she has walked right into his path. This begins a hilarious, steamy battle of wills as each tries to woo the other to their side.

Another great edition to the series that is just getting better & better. Lana has created such a beautiful world, with characters you can't help but love & some great tension filled moments.

Was great to get more on Shade & Maebh's history & her descent into madness. Willow is such a cutie of a character & her scenes had me laughing so much. She must be such a terror in that house.

I love the foreshadowing of whats to come & cannot wait to get to the Elves stories.

This is the 3rd book in the Season of the Vampire trilogy which is part of the Fae Guardians series (6th book). Shade and Silver have a tumultuous relationship from the beginning. She is convinced that humans and fae can't work together. Shade wants a mate so he can be more powerful. Their journey is a beautiful story of learning to love unconditionally, not only someone else but yourself as well. While their hearts are slow to accept each other, their bodies are not. There are several very steamy moments between them that involve just a little kink. Nothing extreme though. Just enough to be spicy. I have loved all of the books in this world. I felt like this one was more intense in the development of all the characters so far. Seeing the world from the viewpoint of the humans who lived under the Void's leadership was new. It cast a different light on the response of the Prime and Guardians, as did Maeb's descent into madness. This book is for fantasy & dystopian lovers. While it can be read alone, there are many backstories that will be missed if not read in order. I was lucky enough to receive this book as an arc angel for Lana Pecherczyk.

I received an ARC copy of this book.
This is another great book in the Fae Guardians series and ends the Season of the Vampire. As with the previous books, the characters are all very different and have depth to them. The world is well described and I can imagine being there.
I love Shade and Silver. He is sexy to the max but he also has a history that tugs at you. The Unseelie Queen’s mad obsession over him brings so much misery for him. I felt so deeply for him. Silver is strong and yet weak at the same time. She is conflicted. Iher transition from enemy to lover is a rocky one and like all humans, she makes mistakes. Ultimately she has a good heart and wants good for her people, she is just finally able to see the Fae’s side of things more clearly.
You get a look into the Void a bit in this book and I am glad it is getting into him more. I can’t wait to see what happens next with the Season of the Elf. I am sure there will be even more “Holy Cow!” moments.

What a way to end the Vampire Trilogy in the Fae Guardian Series!

Every time I jump back into the Fae Guardian world created by Lana, there is always something new to learn along with the characters that are taking center stage. For this book, Shade gets his spotlight and we get the mysterious Silver as well. What I love about Lana is that even though this series is "fated mates" she doesn't have her couple fall into insta love, there is still tension and things that each have to work through individually and together. Shade and Silver's journey, especially Silver's, was heart warming and relatable. The way that they came to realize that relying on someone and being vulnerable with them is not something to be scared of was beautiful to watch. Oh also the STEAM in this book...Lana had been hinting at a lot of things with Shade's background, and she definitely delivered.

Speaking of the Fae Guardian world, we finally get a peak into the human stronghold, Crystal City. Lana has laid some plot eggs throughout this book, and especially at the end. What you think you know about this world get's expanded and built on in this book, and I can't wait to see where Lana takes it. Be warned: there is a massive cliffhanger at the end BUT I know that Lana only gives us HEA so I am not worried...that much...

Overall, if you like fated mates, a twist on vampires, fantasy worlds, and engaging plot line, I highly suggest you check this book, and series, out!

Another great book in this series. Excellent narration except for the one part where the male narrator obviously had something some dental work done in real life and suddenly was voicing the big bad vampire with a lisp.

Enjoyed the plot line for the most part. The only thing I didn't like was how the main characters of the book were suddenly swept aside to introduce characters that are going to be written about in the next book. But it wasn't an obvious transition and was odd. Especially since when we came back to the people who the entire book was about it was summarized very quickly. It would have liked to have a bit more time with them before the author is already dropping hints for you to jump into the next book.

But all in all another excellent story in this world.

Shade & Silver are such an amazing enemies to lovers pair & their story was filled with distrust, anger, attraction, and so much more.
Shade & Silver had a rougher start than the other two vampire guardians & their mates, but that made their ending that much sweeter.
Shade & Silver are fighting on different sides of this war, and Silver fights their bond from the very start.
I love all of the angst between them, Shade wants to keep Silver safe and train her to use her darkness, while Silver wants to destroy Shade & all fae.
There’s so much loss and pain in this story. We get some huge answers & are also left with a major problem that I can’t wait to see get dealt with. There was so much action, we get one massive battle and are hit with some losses in this one.

Now what am I supposed to do 😭

I was forced to read this in parts… because work. But when I could read…. I was lost to the world.

I absolutely LOVED Shade and Silver. Their dynamic was just incredible. And Shade knowing what Silver needed before she knew what she needed was beautiful. Learning more about Shade and his history bumped him up on my love list.
We read a bit more about Cloud. And those bits? Daummmnnnn. I cannot WAIT to read his story. It’s going to be raging storm and explosive passion I’m sure!
Also, that first feeding. Good lord that had me sweatin. Shade “I’m not even sorry.” 🤣

Another amazing book to this incredible series. Thank you Lana!

A Symphony of Savage Hearts is a beautiful Romeo and Juliet like, enemies-to-lovers romance set in a dystopian future. However, in this story the fate of the world rests in their hands as they work to resolve the personal battle bought about by the difference in their race.

Lana Pecherczyk creates such amazing characters. As readers we have watched the twelve Fae Guardians evolve and gain unique personalities so it is hard not to get invested in what mate the Well would grant them. Shade’s suave dominance has found it’s perfect match in Silver’s sassy, take no shit attitude and I love all of their interactions from the explosive sparks to the evolution of their relationship. This book took turns I was not expecting but totally loved. Go in blind and don’t spoil it, trust me there are some amazing surprises in A Symphony of Savage Hearts for readers to enjoy to the maximum if you do it spoiler free.

Like always I find myself praising the books released in the Fae Guardian series and as soon as I read it I am hanging out for the next book like a junkie. A Symphony of Savage Hearts is a must buy as soon as it is released and after that bring on Forrest.

This may be my favorite Fae Guardians book yet. I found Silver's character to be the most human of all of the female main characters in the prior books. She was flawed but that added to her overall humanity and interest within the book. We also got better insight into Shade, the male main character. In the previous books we were given glimpses of him from an exterior point of view. I enjoyed getting to understand him better.

I was pleased to finally get a glimpse of what it was like within the human territory of Crystal City. Without leaving any spoilers, I feel like there is so much more within the city and the leadership that can be explored. I am excited for the next book in the series to uncover more of those layers.

I received this book as an ARC and have chosen to leave a voluntary review. This installment of Fae Guardians was an enemies to lovers, slow burn, romantic fantasy. If you loved the first two of the vampire guardians books then this one may be your new favorite.

This was certainly interesting but I feel that it was lacking compared to the previous books when it comes to the back story of silver, granted there was some snippets of conversation when Silver's mother was yelling and insulting her but that's about it.

I did enjoy how it showed Shade's backstory, which was definitely new but I would have liked more of a story for Silver.

Wow. Shade. Wow.

I’m brain damaged after his book. I wanna spoil the sh-t out of this-that’s how many emotions I have. Lana did something different here: she laced soooooo many secrets and Easter eggs and future Easter eggs in the story, that I need to reread it one more time. Like have to.

Now let’s talk about Shade. The bad boy of a bunch. Oh boy, does he deliver. He knows the ropes😏 if you know what I mean 😄

My fav from all the vamps. Def the fav!

Ahhhhh I finally came back needed to continue this journey. I finally was able to read about Shade and it did not disappoint. It took me sometime to love Silver, but I get it she needed to learn to love herself as well. Can’t wait to see what chaos ensues now.

Each story build upon the other with a new couple finding love. I recommend starting from the beginning of the series to really understand the world Lana has built.

Amazing book! I am absolutely in love with this entire series and this one did not disappoint! This is a wrap for the vampire guardians and it was an excellent read! I loved getting to see things from a human perspective in addition to the fae perspective we’ve been accustomed to. The enemies to lovers plot was woven perfectly and I loved their journey so much! And the steam was excellent!!
