Cupid Country #2

Cupid Country Challenge

Rate this book
Opposites attract in this charming small-town romance.

When Niamh O’Connor’s best friend urges her to contact Olly Braithwaite on rural dating app Cupid Country, Niamh isn’t keen. Niamh’s a maths nerd perfectionist, while Olly’s likely to be a hippie organic farmer who probably only bathes once a week, composts his own hair and eats too many lentils.

Except Olly turns out to be sweet, passionate about his geese and ducks, and weirdly hot. He’s also far too tall and habitually late. Faults that would normally be deal breakers for punctual, petite Niamh.

Her head and heart have opposing ideas, and when Olly makes his feelings clear, Niamh can’t resist. But Niamh’s hang-ups are soul deep, and their differences seem insurmountable. One night of delicious passion won’t change that.

Can Niamh get past her quirks and embrace love, or will she give in to her fears and forsake the sexy farmer?

Cathryn Hein is a best-selling author of rural romance and romantic adventure novels, a Romance Writers of Australia Romantic Book of the Year finalist with Santa and the Saddler, and a regular Australian Romance Reader Awards finalist.
A South Australian country girl by birth, Cathryn loves nothing more than a rugged rural hero who’s as good with his heart as he is with his hands, which is probably why she writes them! Her romances are warm and emotional, and feature themes that don’t flinch from the tougher side of life but are often happily tempered by the antics of naughty animals. Her aim is to make you smile, sigh, and perhaps sniffle a little, but most of all feel wonderful.
Cathryn lives in Newcastle, Australia with her partner of many years, Jim. When she’s not writing, she plays golf (ineptly), cooks (well), and in football season barracks (rowdily) for her beloved Sydney Swans AFL team.

Book two in this awesome series and it rocks I loved it, totally opposites Niamh O’Connor loves numbers, the piano and is a perfectionist and Olly Braithwaite hippie organic waterfowl farmer, is there a chance that they can find what they are both looking for, well their friends Tom and Amber think they can and push them into taking a chance.

Their first meeting at the local country show is eye opening for Niamh, yes she enjoyed herself but there is no way they will ever go further they are way too different, so she says thank you and moves on but Olly decides that this beautiful nerd and he can make something together and he pushes for her to give it another go, Niamh gives it another go and visits Olly’s farm meets the Geese and Ducks and soon Niamh is feeling very different.

One night of passion and sensual fun sees Niamh buzzing with what is happening to her, is there a way this will work because in Niamh’s eyes Olly is fun, caring and the best, can Olly convince Niamh that she can get over her quirks and that together they can find the love that is there.

This is another quick and fabulous read told in true Cathryn Hein style with feeling, emotion, it is witty sensual and the best, I can’t wait for book three and see how Eden fares .

I do highly recommend this one it is sure to leave you smiling.

Niamh O’Connor’s best friend Amber Dunn urges her to contact Olly Braithwaite on rural dating app called Cupid Country and she's not keen. Olly is a man bun wearing duck farmer and she wonders if he showers and wears deodorant and curiosity gets the better of her and she sends him a message and he wants to meet.

Niamh is a high school teacher, loves maths and chess, playing the piano and squash, and being on time and is a perfectionist. Olly is late and too tall and this makes her teeth feel fuzzy and but he turns out to be kind, caring and she finds him hot and visits his farm and the Levenham show. Here she has to deal with the possibility of getting dirty, walking in duck or geese poo and tolerating Olly's tardiness.

I really enjoyed Cupid Country Challenge the second book in the Cupid Country Series by Cathryn Hein. I liked Niamh character, her quirky ways made me laugh out loud and I’m a little OCD myself and hate being late.

Olly is an absolute sweetie and hot and this proves that opposites people can find each other attractive and appealing, you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover or in Olly’s case a man holding a duck in his online dating profile picture and take a chance and you’re never know where it could end and hopefully falling head over heels for each other.

I enjoyed catching up with Tom Jones and Amber from book one, and I'm looking forward to the next instalment called Cupid Country Crush and where Tom's sister Eden is looking for love and the man she has the hots for thinks he’s too old for her?

Five stars from me and I thoroughly enjoyed Cupid Country Challenge and I highly recommend this hilarious and well written Aussie rural romance.

Adore the opposites attract vibe but the best moment for me was learning the name of Olly's farm business!

Second in the series, Cupid Country Challenge is a wonderful opposites-attract romance. High school teacher Niamh O’Connor is a nerd, for whom punctuality, music and science are the main focus. She is petite, organised and a perfectionist, so on paper, there is nothing to attract her to poultry farmer Olly Braithwaite, whose geese and ducks are central to his life. Olly very chill and has no sense of time. He’s kind and thoughtful and also very tall, something that bothers Niamh, who is tiny compared to him. Olly’s height worries her and his laid-back attatitude irritates her, but despite their differences, these two keep coming back to each other. Their story is light and funny, sweet and sexy and a perfect afternoon read thanks to its short length.

Niamh is petite, a perfectionist and a school teacher, a city girl. Only is tall and broad, chilled, a farmer of waterfowl and as country as can be. The long and the short of it is that when they met through Cupid Country, Niamh couldn't see how there could possibly be a connection between them. and that is where the fun begins.
Cupid Country Challenge is the second book in the series and is a total delight.

A perfectly glorious opposites attract romance. Cathryn Hein has the ability to seamlessly move from hilarity to emotion and back again. Loved it.
