Clifford Watkins found two rather unusual ways to get rich. The first was a scam involving a diamond mine that had no diamonds, the second an expose that laid bare the dirty secrets of the very industry that paid his bills. Unfortunately, while he was making a lot of money, Clifford was also making a lot of enemies. And one of those enemies wants to put him in an early grave. In "Plot Twist," the sequel to "Diamonds to Die For," Inspector McLean of Scotland Yard follows a trail that leads from Harrods in Knightsbridge to a whorehouse in Putney - via Johannesburg, Gaborone, Mumbai, Surat and Antwerp. The case has no shortage of suspects, but also no sign of answers. Will McLean and his team solve the mystery before they decide the killer did the world a favor? "Plot Twist" is the fourth Inspector McLean Mystery by David W. Rudlin.

The latest is the a Inspector McLean series ( no. 4) and recommended.

Thus is a sequel to the first volume, with the villain Clifford Williams reappearing and rather suddenly disappearing.

For light crime reading with a good plot, a twisted one, go for it!
