This could have been a good story but the book was so short and then I found out it had so many other parts. Why couldn’t she fit it in one book or even two? On principle alone I am not going to fork out that much money on this series when it could have been done in one/two books.

This is a rip off. This first book is free on kindle unlimited, but the remaining 24 yes you read that right 24 parts are not free, then consider that they are all a 10 minute read costing more than £2 per part. It’s disgusting

So sorry, but I have to give this a very low rating. Why? I felt like I was mislead. The 'book' was only 5 chapters, and stopped at 30%. Then it started a preview for some other book. I guess the author was hoping you would get hooked on it and purchase Book 2 for $2.99 and another 50 pages. No thank you. I'm glad I have KU or I really would have been pissed.

Be honest, say the book is only 50 pages. Don't do the Bait and Switch.

Wtf did I just read

There were so many misused words it was hard to concentrate on anything else. This book needed some series editing. On top of that she couldn't get the characters straight. One minute Jackson and Pierce were brothers, the next they were cousins, only to be brothers again. You only get 6 short chapters before it ends and then she wants you to pay 2.99 for the next 7? Nah, I'm good.

One chapter not a book!

3 bucks for what any other reputable author would call a chapter this one calls a book. The horrible lack of proofreading (never mind editing) is beyond disappointing even for a free chapter. I will wait and see if this story grows up in the coming years.

Mount of money

It started out pretty interesting, but very short. Me personally I won't buy a book is that short for that mount of money for the next book. This one was free.

Jackson has tormented and humiliated Emery in front of everyone at school ever since she walked in on his older brother. Ever since she called the police. It's been two years since she moved thousands of miles away from him. She should be happy, right? Except, as much as the hate and humiliation should repulse her, she felt special because he directed directly to her. Now she's in college about to attend her first college party with her best friend Morgan, who is determined she have the complete college experience. She's become stronger. She's healed. This should be easy, right? But it wasn't and she couldn't stop thinking about Jackson. She could feel him. And then, there he was. He and his younger brother Pierce had found her. And he was intent on ruining her.
What a dark, twisted storyline Laura Avery has created with characters that leave you with emotions running high. More questions than answers at this point. What happened and why? We get bits and pieces of the puzzle with more to come. I'm nervous and intrigued by Jackson and Emery. The dynamics between the Lucas brothers, Liam, Jackson and Pierce seems to be one of tortured souls and deranged individuals formed by abuse. I can't wait to see where this goes. I feel like Hansel and Gretel following bread crumbs and I'm thrilled.

Wow this is amazing alpha book that I just loved and had drawn me from the beginning tell the very end. The book does have a cliff hanger at the end. As I'm upset that would have to pay for the second book. And all the other books are KU. Which is frustrating because the book was awesome but then I fine out have to pay for the second book.

This book embraces all things that make a dark romance wonderful. I loved the characters and the story. Was a little bit disappointed that it ends in a cliffhanger, but I'm hoping that the next book isn't too far away from release. Definitely a dark romance lover's dream book.

I read books 1-12. There was a phenomenal plot. So much potential. Too bad, all the sex was stuffed, over stuffed, into every book so you had 10 pages of plot & 40 pages of sex.

So, I will admit that I didn’t read these until I got book 4 free on booksprout and then I looked them up before starting because I HATE starting a series before all the books are released so I can then read straight through because I am incredibly impatient! 😊 and then I did hesitate before starting because I have ku and I have a lot of arc books to read and thought the price for books 2 & 3 were expensive for how short they were BUT I got drawn into the blurb and thought I’d give the first one a go because it was on KU and see how it went .......... oh wow! I’ve got to admit I really loved all 4 books and can’t wait for the final book 5 to come out! Hope it’s not too long a wait! 😳

Updating my review as I thought it was 5 book series and it’s definitely not, so don’t want to give the wrong impression now we are much later than my review date.

I will not buy the next book

Why? This story was really good, but I am not going to be paying 4.99 for not even a quarter of a book!!
What are they thinking about putting the books in parts? Seem really unnecessary. It would have good potential, without all these "parts"

the book itself is good and a quick read but it is very short it stops at 30% then goes into another book only the first book is part of kindle unlimited I would like to read the other books to the series but 2.99 is alot for a 55 page book.
