ANR has been writing since 2017 and comes from a family of writers. The young, teen writer is a dedicated volunteer at the Lawrence County Museum and also enjoys photography and poetry.

Coming from Lawrence County, Ohio, ANR published her first book just a week before her fifteenth birthday. Coming from a family of writers, her grandfather being the author of multiple published books, her mother is a freelance writer for their local newspaper, being a writer is just in her blood.

She has three younger sisters and two older brothers and currently lives on a homestead in Ohio, raising their six chickens, one rooster, two dogs, five rabbits, and one cat.

The first book she ever started writing was Tree Top, but it was not the first work she published. The first-ever book published was The Butterfly Project on February 29, 2020.

ANR has been volunteering at the Lawrence County Museum since she was twelve years old and does beauty pageants in her free time.

In 2017 ANR was diagnosed with depression and anxiety, both of these conditions only worsened up until the age of fifteen, where she found her outlet. As shown in some of her poetry, ANR struggles daily with her mental health and tries to portray that in her writing. She runs a mental health blog and is fixed on helping others through her work. This is why all of her poetry books are completely free, alongside the resources she has to offer.

Firstly, I’d like to say that I feel that people have been quite unfair with harsh ratings. You’re a young poet who clearly has either a lot of life experience or possess an excellent imagination.

I was purposefully looking for free poetry books and happened to find yours. A lot of the book is quite dark and hard hitting, but I really appreciate your narrative poems. They’re my favourite poetry form.

Please keep writing! Best wishes, Sophie.

For teenagers who fell out of love, who failed in there class first time, problem at home , problem with friends, shaming for something that didn't worth anything., Crazy encounter, bulling . This book is a special recommendation for thr teenagers to guide them in a light way

As someone who has personally experienced the issues this book aims to address, I did find a few poems that genuinely resonated with me. However, for the most part, the collection felt underwhelming. Many of the pieces lacked emotional depth and poetic structure, coming across more like scattered thoughts than fully-formed poems. While the intention behind the book is meaningful, the execution left much to be desired.

There were a few poems in here that really resonated with me but the majority fell completely flat. The references to God weren’t relatable for me but not so frequent that they put me off what I was reading. I appreciate it being free, accessible material and I think I would have got a lot more out of it if I read it as a teenager. 2.5 stars.

It's very clear that no workshopping was done on these poems. There were also plenty of mistakes that would have been caught in the proofreading stage. I can see the intent behind the works, but a topic as sensitive as this shouldn't be published this carelessly.

Easy read

I agree with other reviews staying most didn't resonate with me, but there were a couple I did appreciate/relate to. Good quick read though. This was my first book exploring poetry too

A good handful of poems. I hope you keep writing. Don't let the negative reviews turn you away. Some of them have no idea what poetry or art looks like. You aren't too emotional or personal - it's legit the point of art.

"I heard an old saying, if looks could kill. I look in the mirror just too see if it's real."
This has to be one of my favourite lines from this poetry book.

This poetry book had a lot of poems in that hit deep with me. I really related to them but the books is worth a read even if you don't suffer from mental health as it might help to understand the people within your life.
