If you enjoy fantasy and are looking for something a bit different and refreshing, you won’t be disappointed with “Lights End” by Mathew Kaufman. From its intriguing opening line “It was all because of light” the story quickly builds suspense and action as Alex, a boy recently turned sixteen, discovers that his heretofore quiet life is about to get turned on its head and that he and his family will very soon be in danger.

The author weaves a well-conceived, fast-moving, and compelling fantasy adventure that will keep you turning pages and rooting for Alex as he battles his own doubts and struggles to overcome treachery and betrayal by those he trusted. I give “Lights End” my strong recommendation and 4.5 stars.

Note: I was the editor for this novel and was neither asked to review it nor compensated for doing so.
