The heroine:Maja - she is a human who lives on a planet with a few different humanoid species. There are the Skarr, who are 14 feet tall, with red skin and tusks, there are also the Nightborn who sleep during the day and only come out at night to drink the blood of the humans. Maja is alone and doesn’t have anyone protecting her so she has to be in her apartment with the door locked at night. However, she rescued a creature that had a damaged wing and spent her rent money on his care, so her Nightborn landlord has been bothering her for the money.
The Hero:Patrek - He is a Skarr and though his people will die out after this generation, due to the fact that all their females have died, they still try to protect the exploited species on the planet. Many of the Skarr get jobs as guards or protectors to wealthy humans. He works for a wealthy man who likes to keep all kinds of exotic creatures, even illegal and sentient ones. Patrek is working for him to try to find the market where illegal pets are sold. So he wants to put a tracker on an Impran and set it free to track where it is sold if it is caught again.
The Story: For Patrek to put the tracker on the creature without getting caught by the security camera’s, he needs a small human to wear a costume. Dressed as another creature, the human can get close to the Impran and put the tracking collar on it. So he offers a hefty sum to help him and Maja is the human that applies for the job.
I love alien romance so I thought this would be an odd one and it really was. I mean it is basically a love story between a giant and a small human. I was wondering how things would work out on an intimate level, and let’s just say they get inventive. Especially since the book describes his package as being as big as her torso and head.
“Is this some kind of kinky thing? You know it won’t fit, so don’t even try it.”
The story was pretty short and it was interesting. The world building was good, the romance was cute, despite the dirty scenes, and they were quite dirty. I don’t think I would read a whole series of this but it was certainly a fun diversion, and it looks like there are only two books in this series anyway.
The book was told in multiple points of view and done in solo narration and was narrated by Soren Gray. He has a nice voice and is very expressive, though for some reason there was something I didn’t quite like about it. For some reason my mind kept drifting and I had to keep rewinding and playing big parts again and that doesn’t usually happen to me.
Wow. What a sweet couple. What an interesting (and rather grim) world. And damn, what smokin hot sexy scenes. Have never read anything with this large of a size difference, it was, uh, eye opening.
The romance was sweet, lovable characters and interesting world. However what stood out the most and was worth 5 stars in its own was the size diffrent (him being a giant and her being able to fit in his palm). At one point she is hiding inside his pants holding her self on his... well. That was not something I've ever read in a monster romance and it's on of the most creative ones I've read. It was fun with all the spicy scenes in rather uniqe way. But it do have a good plot and romance as well.

OMG, Sara Ivy Hill is the Size Difference Queen! ***** Rating: 5 stars Steam: 3 flames Genre/Tropes: Alien Romance, Size Difference, Novella ***** Good golly Ms. Molly! This is one of those books that you don't know you need until you read it.
Patrek was a fabulous protector and Maja was so kind, I couldn't help but love her and her very caring nature.
Great characters, steam, a great storyline and ORIGINALITY for the win! I have a VERY active imagination and the visuals in my head while reading this book were AMAZING! It was a bonus to find the bonus epilogue with coloring page at the end of the book that answered so many more questions!
And... THERE IS A BOOK TWO! Yes I recommend, Yes I will still keep reading!
**** I read this book through Kindle Unlimited ****
And I will just leave this here (IYKYK - MWHAHAHAHAHAHAH):
Patrek is a type of alien that is freaking huge, and so he's shocked when a small human winds up on his doorstep accepting an online job offer from him. Her name is Maja and she is in need of some money to make rent for the month. She accepts a high-paying online job, without even knowing the qualifications and tasks she needs to perform. She's absolutely astonished when she realizes Patrek's job listing is to help the giant perform a heist.
I have no clue if this book was supposed to be as funny as it was, but I was cackling while reading. There are some scenes that will just live in my mind rent-free. This was super entertaining, and I can't wait to read the rest of the series!
I thoroughly enjoyed this extreme size difference romance
When I read that the hero is 14 feet tall and the heroine is only around 5 feet, I was wondering what to expect. How could the author possibly make such a large size difference work? Well, I don’t want to give spoilers but she *does* make it work, really well. And though the spicy scenes are not what I expected, the romance between the gentle giant and his fierce little mate is adorable. And yes, it’s hot too. I recommend this book if you like extreme size difference stories and gentle but intense spicy scenes.
From the start of this book, we're thrown into a dark world where Maja is struggling to survive and provide for herself. The moment Maja takes on a high stakes job and meets Petrek, their story takes off at a very quick pace! There seriously was so much to love about this book!
I loved how this book was rich in worldbuilding and just how unique the ideas were that the author brought to life. The whole concept of this world pulled me in, along with the very loveable characters. Speaking of, I loved how Maja had such a big heart! Petrek was so tender and careful with her, that it was just heartwarming to witness. I seriously just loved their love story! Even with how thoughtful he was in selecting his gifts to her, I loved that he picked something that really spoke to her heart.❤️
Even though there is a size difference in this book with Petrek being a giant, that still didn't take away from there being some decent spice to this book!🔥 Phew!
Right okay, I swear the size difference started with her coming up to his waist. but then somehow she became the size of his d*ck. That's just too much of a size difference for me. Sorrrryyyyyy
But yeah, the changing height differences was just confusing and I felt like I was dropped into a story midway and had no idea what was going on with the world building.
Alien/Monster romance is truly one of my favorite genres and this book did not disappoint in the slightest!
Myja is our female mc and she has had an extremely rough go of it in life and she comes across an ad for work she desperately needs. I’m comes out make mc Patrek, who is this huge alien man(I mean basically a small giant in comparison to Myja) and has this mission he needs to complete.
This story was so cozy to me! There is size difference, but they make it work which I absolutely loved. They don’t have to change each other. Fated mates which is one of my favorite tropes. I just loved everything about this story!
Highly recommend if you are a fan of alien romance
Definitely a fun and overall lighthearted plot, but the insta-love and frankly absurd way of introducing smut wasn't for me. I also had a hard time connecting with the characters because their unnatural reactions to the craziest situations kept taking me out of the story. I kind of wish it'd been 100-200 pages longer so the author had more room to flesh out the story and build the romantic tension. 1.5 stars.
Maja and Patrek couldn't be more different. She's a tiny poor human, he's a giant Skaar with a rich history. She answers an add for a shady job because she's about to be evicted. On this planet walls and doors save humans from being meals or pets. But the job takes a turn and now they're both in dire straights. Then Patrek does something unexpected, he offers to take her away from the city...with him.
Spoilers ahead. Ok, definitely needs some trigger warnings. Slavery is a thing here. All kinds. Humans offer themselves as food, as playthings, as wombs to hire. Parents sell kids, adults sell themselves, humans wear collars. This is not an all sweet, there's dark that needs to be mentioned in the blurb. Instant star removal for no warning. But outside of those shadows the story is sweet. He instantly recognizes her plight and wants to help her. And when the tables turn she helps him. Then the reverse, again. He offers everything he has, which doesn't seem like much in the way of human luxuries but it's freedom and love, so...it's a complete treasure. I can't say the "scenes" did much for me as the dimensions of them kept changing. If he's literally twice her size, or more, and can hold her on (not in, on) his hand, his pinky would still be far too large for that. So, images of being torn apart during what's supposed to be s*xy times sort of put a damper on things. But skimming past those it goes right back to syrupy sweetness. It's a short novella, and looks to be the start of a series. The next book is based on characters mentioned in the city and it will be interesting to see the POV of the haves as to the have nots in this setting.
Imposible no amar a los gigantes Skarr después de leer este libro!

The Mountains Mate de Sara Ivy Hill serie Salt Planet Giants libro 1
Argumento:
This was a fast, steamy but sweet read. I really enjoyed both characters and the way the story ultimately ended.
The spice scenes weren't personally my thing but I respect their determination and perseverance to make the size difference work. I really appreciated that the author went "you know what? there is such a thing as too big" and went this route!
I would LOVE to learn more about the Skarr culture, see more of the Skarr clan, and get that sense of hope that this isn't the end for them. Would also love to see more of their tender, gentle animal care. I'm definitely going to read book 2 but I'm hoping the series will return to these Skarr in the mountains. I want a HEA for everyone!
This book is absolutely ridiculous, and I love it.
So, the alien is a giant, like, can hold the FMC in his hand giant. I didn't know I needed this until I read it. It's like a guilty pleasure read, but why feel guilty for enjoying giant monster smut? Life is too short not to read a romance novel where the giant's eggplant is as large as the FMC herself (not even exaggerating).
So yeah, not for everyone, but I enjoyed this book and read it in one sitting. And then read the next book in the series.
✨ARC Review! I received an early copy of this book and this is my honest review.✨ … I was sent an ARC of this book and it did not disappoint. I need more of these rocky men… I give this ⛰️⛰️⛰️⛰️⛰️!
Maja is alone in her life, practically an orphan and taking on delivery jobs to get by in the world. She’s desperate for money and takes a high paying job for Patrek, a Skarr alien who is enormous and mountain like.
When the job doesn’t quite pan out, Patrek is forced to flee the city. After a steamy night spent hiding at Maja’s apartment, he doesn’t want to live without her, and asks her to come with him. She’s awakened his mating senses. His species doesn’t have females anymore, so he never thought these emotions would rise in him. She realizes he’d move mountains to provide for her and quickly falls in love with her gentle giant.
Now all that’s left is to flee the city and settle into their new life among his tribe deep in the mountains. Will they accept a human woman as his mate? Will this give his fellow tribesmen hope that they can find love too?
This book was SO GOOD! I loved the world building in it and how humans are just pawns in the world. I feel so bad for Maja… she just wants to survive and find some meaning in life. And Patrek is just the cutest mountain man. I loved their dynamic and how it’s Maja who takes control of their relationship.
THE SPICE! I mean.. this man’s 🍆 is the size of a body pillow. She can spread herself out on his tusks for him to eat her out like a buffet. Obviously with him being so huge there’s no actual penetration, but they improvise. If you love size differences, buckets of 💦, human/alien pairing, scenting, fated mates… then this book is for you!

⛰️ “I don’t need to sleep at night. Not when every day is the best dream I’ve ever had.” ~~~ Maja’s life hasn’t been easy. And she’s doing her best to survive in a dangerous world. But, despite all the hardships, she’s such a sweet, caring and compassionate woman. Even more, she’s strong, brave and fearless. And I really loved her fierce and defiant spirit. Maja is amazing and I loved her so much!
Patrek is one huge alien with an even bigger heart! He’s so strong, kind, noble and fiercely protective. And I really loved that he doesn’t turn a blind eye to injustice and other’s suffering and is not hesitant to work hard on righting the wrongs. This big Skarr is one spectacular male and I absolutely adored him!
The development of Maja and Patrek’s relationship was amazing! Patrek needs someone small to aid him in a rescue mission and Maja answers his offer. From the moment they met, their chemistry was fantastic and I loved their banters. Even more, despite the huge size difference between the two, Patrek and Maja fit so well together. And the spice… The spice was off-the-charts hot! What can I say - where there's a will, there's a way! And those two were so determined to make it work. I just couldn’t get enough of either of them!
In addition, the worldbuilding was phenomenal! Salaan is a dangerous planet and the humans are not on top of the food chain. And I really loved the Skarr and I loved that we got a glimpse of their world, culture, ways and courting rituals.
Overall, the story is a marvellous start of the series! It’s filled with danger, adventure, suspense, action, humor, scorching hot romance and magnificent characters.
I absolutely loved every page of it and I cannot wait to meet more heroes from this amazing world!
Came back after re-reading this to say: am I the only one who giggled at the SpongeBob show reference? (Patrek Skarr… and the fmc mentioning her being clapped onto him like a hapless starfish… lol)
——-//—-
This was fluffy and sweet, but just shy of overly so. A lot more doing than telling, which helps.
I was impressed with the writing quality. Learned some new words.
The size difference spice scenes… I didn’t totally understand what was going on hence the one star removal. If he was as big as 14 feet, then the size dynamics described didn’t make a lot of sense. Let’s say she’s average height (not specified) of 5’6”. She’d reach a little above his knees. I don’t think his junk would be big enough for her to ride like a pony.
Maybe the size of a common nightstand. Anyways. Where was I? Ah yes. I’ll be reading the other books. lol.
What in the Thumbelina was that?! Lol. I seriously had troubles figuring out what size everyone & everything was, relative to each other 🤣 which made for an interesting relationship, as i'm sure you could guess. Spoiler alert: it's rather unsatisfying. However it was a cute, little quirky palate cleanser. The insta-love was a little "woah" at times & there's maybe a bit too much trying to happen in the plot for such a small book, but I didn't dislike it.
this was sweeter than I was expecting but too insta-lovey for me. I don’t know if perhaps this is a spin-off series, but I was super lost in the world and alien types. the exact size difference seemed to differ slightly each description, so it was hard to get a real idea of the story and characters overall
This was only 4 hours. It was about some dystopian society. Other species were becoming extinct because of the humans. Patrek was working undercover at some rich human's mansion as a security guard. He was working with other giant Skarr to help save a bird that was about to become extinct. He needed to hire a small human to infiltrate the holding pens. When the FMC applied, he told her no, it was too dangerous. She needed the money or she'd be homeless. He hired her and they fell in love. She only comes up to his hip and his junk is as big as her torso. He can't penetrate her, except with his pinky. She full body jacks him off. His penis produces slick oil. All the Skarr females are dead. I don't know how they will reproduce without killing the human women. Also, they have tusks that they use to hold their partners down during sex. Her mom became addicted to the main drug of the planet and sold her little sister to a Night Walker to buy more. They use humans as a blood source. She is determined to find her sister who was sold 20 years ago. The other Skarr are determined to find their own human mates.

Man, where’s that kombucha girl reaction clip when you need it.
This was such a weird mix of things I was surprisingly into and things I was very not and they come at you fast, so you get a sort of horny/cringe whiplash. I was very distracted for most of the story trying to figure out exactly what the size difference was, which I never really felt confident that I had a handle on. It was sweet with a lot of “instinct” based interactions that I didn’t really mind and some possessiveness that managed to stay cute instead of dangerous.
I’m probably going to read the next one because I am curious about some of the world building and damnit if the erotica isn’t intriguing even when it’s a little off-putting at random intervals.
This was a super cute love story of a giant and a human. Trust me they found a creative way to make it spicy often 🌶️ this is just so unique and I loved the novelty of it all and will likely continue with the series.
💜 Cinnamon roll protective giant (Patrek) 💜 Brave animal loving FMC (Maja) 💜 A daring mission An inventive escape. I don’t want to ruin it for you but I cackled like a banshee.
