What kind of mess must your life be that you're actually relieved when you get kidnapped? I'm not saying the accommodations were stellar, but Stockholm's got me thinking the kidnapper is nice and his twin brother is delicious. Maybe my parents were on to something when they tried to have me exorcized. Especially after I find out what that crazy birthmark on my hip means.
Sick of being dragged around all over, I kidnap my kidnapper's brother in order to get some answers. The answers I get aren't at all what I expect, and because I clearly don't know how to be normal, I'm starting to fall for Ewing, completely unable to let him out of my sight. That's going to make it a little hard to escape, Hill.
Wolfing It Down is book eight in my new MPreg-possible series. It's a spin-off of the Chosen series and involves a whole new generation, but will, of course, have cameos from some of your favorite Chosen characters, as well as some Terra Mortis characters. I consider these books MPreg light, meaning, though pregnancy is possible, that does not mean it will be in every book. Each book contains a new couple with a guaranteed happily ever after, but if you want to know what is going on with the background plot, it is suggested that you listen to them in order!
Another Fantastically Wonderful story in the CREA/Chosen world of J.D. Light. In Wolfing it Down we discover what happened to Ewing, Lorre’s twin. It turns out one of the Chosen they were to rescue is Ewing’s Mate. The big question is how do you introduce a human who knows nothing about the chosen world to a whole new life AND tell him he’s your soulmate all in a few days! That is the task Ewing must undertake when he rescues Hill from the witch. As with all of the authors stories, I am constantly amazed how they work in the romance and affection, hot scenes and still manage to bring up serious topics such as human trafficking all while keeping you smiling throughout their stories. If you have already fallen down the rabbit hole of J.D. Light stories then enjoy the continuing saga. I would not recommend picking this up as a first read as there is so much history of all of the interconnecting series. Go back from the beginning and welcome to a whole new world!
This felt kind of like an epilogue. The witch is dead, now they just have to find Ewing. Why would he just disappear with a chosen? Unless that man is his mate, and of course he is.
The zany humor is typical of JD Light, and I find it delightful. The characters and romance could be more filled out, but then you wouldn't be able to read it during your lunch hour. The ending wouldn't be satisfying if this were a stand-alone, because it would involve a lot of characters you don't know and not so much the main ones, but as the end of the series, it's nice to see characters from previous books.
Jd knows how to import us into her beautiful short stories. Each time, the action delights us and the torment takes us into a creative, friendly world, but still full of intrigue, twist and action.
In this book, we find Hill, the chosen one who was kidnapped and Lorre's brother Ewing.
Enter the story where Ewing must rescue and teach Hill all about the world of shifters and chosens including that they are mates and beat the bad guys, again.
I really do love this series. It’s light and fun while still having an interesting running plot. Ewing was just the sweetest - I cracked up when he was playing along to make Hill feel safe. That’s what’s so great about these books they’re both adorable and hilarious. I’m so glad that Ewing and Lorre found their way to have a family again that included each other and I’m so happy Hill finally found a family that tests like he should be treated. Love this series and love these guys!
I love this series. This book follows Hill as he and another are rescued from the witch who captured Lorre from a previous book and forced him to kidnap for her. Hill is introduced to Ewing, Lorre's long lost brother, and there is an awareness between the two men from the beginning. Running from unforeseen enemies while getting to know each other, this is a sweet read with both characters I love. Another perfect addition to the series!
After being kidnapped and held in a basement I’m sure Hill didn’t expect to fall in love with his kidnapper’s twin brother, Ewing. That’s how things go in J.D. Light’s world, though, and J.D. never disappoints in creating a love at first sight story that doesn’t feel forced or ridiculously cheesy. This book in particular does a good job balancing intrigue and excitement while also keeping the romance and humor J.D. is known for. I can’t wait for more books in this series!
Oh my goodness these two were just so dang precious together! I loved how much Ewing cared about Hill from the get go! I love that Hill was able to forgive Lorre so easily! I wasn’t a fan of the stupid alpha!!!! Ugh the happy ending was great and I can’t wait for more! J.D. is beyond amazing and her books always make me smile!! ❤️❤️😀😀
This story was very intriguing and I enjoyed the mating of Hill and Ewing. I liked the concept of saving a Chosen just to find out that he (Hill) was Ewing's mate. The plot moved along nicely and definitely held my attention. I simply loved the quirky characters (especially Bennett). Great addition to the series.
Ewing and Hill were a treat. I loved Hill's readiness and his go with the flow attitude despite having trust issues. Ewing is perfectly happy giving his mate the space he needs to heal. I love this world and all of its eclectic characters!
I'm so glad that Hill was so open and had a positive outlook on life even though he has had a crappy one so far. Ewing seems like a sweet alpha and I hope this isn't the end of the series.
I'm assuming this is the conclusion of this series and I think everything was wrapped up nicely. I liked Hill and Ewing. I liked that Hill was able to forgive Lorre and also was able to accept Ewing even though Lorre is his twin.
This is book 8 in JD Light's CREA series and it was just as entertaining as everything else that this author has written. Ewing and Hill were adorable and so very easy to love. Their journey was a fun one to take and I couldn't put the book down. I can't wait to see what comes next.
I love this series, totally read them cover to cover in record speed for me. The characters are lovely in the way they interact with each other. The storylines are interesting and blend well from book to book. I can't recommend them enough.
I love Hill’s attitude. He is extremely laidback. Ewing and Hill are a perfect match personality-wise. A shirt but really sweet story! Awesome job on this one!
When is a kidnapper not a kidnapper? When he's your mate!
I am in love with this series! CREA, Chosen, witches, a bad Alpha, a rescue of sorts, hawt sex, and mpreg... who could ask for more! This continues the Chosen saga. Lorre & Knight return. But this is Lorre's twin Ewing's story. Hill is his human, Chosen, mate, who doesn't know shifters exist. Imprisoned first by his family, kidnapped by a witch, rescued by a man who looks just like his kidnapper, Hill has been through a lot. But Ewing calls to his soul, bringing safety and calm. Come. Join them as they learn about who they are to each other. As Hill grows in strength & acceptance, Ewing's love anchors him, claims him. There is HEA, but the story continues. I can't wait for the next book! Ooh, you are just going to love this book! This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
How sweet was that?! This series makes me want to be a part of this crazy world! I only hope that Hill truly is ok and isn't bottling up everything inside. Although it is quite healthy to forgive for your own peace of mind, this action takes back your power over the situation and you become a victor instead of remaining in the role of the victim hoping for an apology from those who harmed you. Very commendable and not always so easy and also doesn't mean forgetting. It takes a strong person to be able to do that! I hope this wasn't the last we heard from this universe because I'm obsessed and think I'll just have to reread all of them again...
