Want to feel more powerful in your world? Well, Shelly Davies has a message for you f--king can.
Become powerful. Reclaim your voice. Give fewer f--ks. Have it all.
Scratch that. Have what you want—why waste time trying to be everyone’s cup of tea when you can be your own two shots of vodka?
When Shelly walked away from her family’s conservative religion in her 40s, she embarked on a journey of discovery and growth. There was therapy and boundary-setting. There were tears. Learning vulnerability is stronger than titanium, and faults are actually superpowers, Shelly transformed her life and leaned into her truth. So much so that she etched it into her skin in the form of a traditional Māori chin tattoo.
For almost a decade, Shelly has been teaching people how to break the rules and give themselves the permission to stop just wishing for what they want and actually f--king get it!
A hilarious, irreverent guide to becoming a person who takes no shit and trusts your instincts, Lessons in Badassery will give you the courage to stand in your power.
When I bought the book "Lessons in Badassery", I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. What I got was a kick-ass book with some great life lessons, told with a fantastic casual style that overlays some serious messaging. Whilst I managed to read the whole thing cover to cover in one sitting, I'm keeping it by the bed so that I can dip in and out as and when I feel the need for a boost!
Since it's all in your head, you have complete control.
If you can't master your thinking, you can't master anything.
"Shoulds" are preferences that are given too much weight.
Preferences are malleable.
When are you in your zone? What does your flow state look like?
Just stop right now and acknowledge one thing you know you can do, and next time you feel scared, overwhelmed, out of control, maybe hopeless, ask yourself if that thing that you know how to do can help.
