Eidolon Black Ops #4

Liam: An Eidolon Black Ops Novel

Rate this book
Since that fateful day when couldn’t save his best friend, Liam Hayes had coasted through life, going from one deadly mission to another, not caring if he lived or died. His only goal is to protect his team members and those he cares about from getting hurt—even if it costs him his life. Then he is reunited with the one woman he cannot have, who has dogged his dreams, beating back the nightmares, and changing his future.

Princess Taamira of Eyan no longer trusts anyone in her life, apart from the man that saved her when her own family abandoned her. Liam is everything she isn’t—loud, obnoxious, and has little regard for her royal status. Yet, his blue eyes hold her captive and his presence builds a warm cocoon of safety around her heart, breaking down her carefully erected barriers.

Liam is frustrated when he’s given responsibility for the Princess, a woman who is demanding, haughty, and too damn good for the cockney wide boy, but she lights a fire in him he thought was long dead. When the Princess once again becomes a target for those who want her dead, Liam will protect her with this life once more but this time the stakes are higher, the rewards so much sweeter.

Smashing down the walls between them with honesty, they begin to build a future paved with truth, love, and passion. But when you’ve lived in a den of vipers such as Taamira has, it’s only a matter of time before one of them escapes and this time, the bite might be fatal.

Liam is another wonderful romantic suspense by Ms Wade filled with heart, warmth, and intrigue. You're going to love Liam's charm and Taamira's tenacity.

One thing that sets Ms Wade apart is her ability to give us a sense of family and belonging while getting our heart rate up with suspense and danger. I always feel comforted by the obvious affection and camaraderie between the characters and the love between her protagonists.

Liam has been a long time favorite of fans of Ms Wade's writing for a long time so I'm guessing this book is going to be a fast favorite for many. I love Liam's cockney charm, the fact that he's down to earth, cheeky, and irrepressible. That doesn't take away from how deadly he is or how serious he is on a mission. This time the mission is Taamira's safety and the conflict of his fast growing feelings for her. He's well aware of the unevennes of their stations but some feelings cannot be denied. It takes a while for him to overcome his own sense of inadequacy in order to embrace the emotions Taamira stirs in him. I love that once he's decided on a course of action, he's decisive and doesn't back down.

I wasn't sure if I'd like Taamira. I remember how haughty she was she I first met her in Paradise Ties. Then I got to know her and Ms Wade does a fantastic job of balancing the status of her being a princess vs her being a woman with very real needs, feelings, and affections. The woman Taamira is is sweet, caring, and compassionate. She takes the time to get to know those around her and those who matter to her. And deep down, she is carrying a deep hurt from the way she has been treated by her family. She doesn't know real love or care until Liam and via Liam, his friends and teammates.

I am loving these dangerous men from Eidolon as they go on oftentimes life threatening missions, but also find the time to bond with each other as a team and more importantly as a family of their own choosing. I'm rather envious of the women they choose to fall in love with because who doesn't want the love of these strong, daring, and protective men. I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Liam (Eidolon Black Ops ~ Book 4) is the second book in the anthology An Eidolon Box Setthat I borrowed from the Kindle Unlimited Program.

Princess Taamira of Eyan wants the help of the only man, Liam Hayes, that makes her feel safe when she is betrayed by one of security men. They make an unlikely couple but they find a way to respect and meet each others needs as they come to love one another.

The danger is in the form a threats to her life from an unknown force. Notes full of threats, the problems with her family abandoning her when she was kidnaped the first time and then further attacks and Liam being shot keep the excitement high. I loved the dialogue and the patience and respect the two main characters show for one another.

I don't think I'm alone in saying a lot of followers of this series have been waiting for this story, and it was worth it. It is powerful and exciting, I would say it also gives an insight in some ways to the women of countries where there thoughts and wants are not recognised and how, if they try to fight for some independence or equality it is frowned on. Liam has always come across as cheeky but it was great to see the more loving and serious side to him. To get his side of what happened with Ambrose. To find him not hesitate to support a woman despite her standing in her own country and title. He showed what a true hero should be the the woman who loves him. I love all the characters that cross each series, often working cases together and now linking in other ways as well. This has suspense and some action, unknown threats and a lot of love and friendship. A story that held my focus, grabbed my heart and even almost stopped it at one point. Now I have to be patient and wait for the next book because I read it to fast and it ended way to soon, insert a big sigh here!....

I wasn’t to sure what we were going to get with this next instalment of the Eidolon team but Maddie did not let us down with the great mix of tough but vulnerable Alpha, sassy heroine, good old lov’in, action and a puzzle to solve.
Liam comes across as someone with a chip on the shoulder with his cocky charm but Maddie soon shares with us the depths of where this comes from within the first few pages…I’m no spoiler but get yourself ready for a slam dunk intro 😉
We know a little of our Princes, Taamira, from Paradise Ties (Fortis/Eidolon crossover) but we do not really get to find out about her until now and I like her. She’s been through hell and kept her dignity, except for a soft spot for our Liam, who’s become the safety she’s been looking for.
There’s a few twists and turns, still the overall story of the series doesn’t get lost and there are reminders to what the Team are trying to work on in the background which is hard to do but Maddie weaves well.
As their love grows we see the tender but protective side we come to expect from our Hereford boys and the story flows between the two main characters effortlessly.
Mitch is up next and from the sneaky peak we get I can tell it’s gonna be a corker…..my loyalty to the Fortis boys is starting to wain as I get to know this bunch of trouble 🤫
Thanks for the opportunity to get ahead of the game and read the advance copy.
You won’t be disappointed but I would suggest this is not a read alone book, the series helps with context.

The latest installment of Maddie Wade's Eidolon series is just as expected, Fabulous!

This is Liam and Princess Taamira's roller- coaster ride of suspense filled drama, and it covers every base, tears, joy, fear, action, it's all here, just as you would expect from Maddie.
Liam is a no nonsense cockney bad boy who has been devasted by the death of his best friend, his protection is requested by Princess Taamira, a gorgeous, clever, single minded royal who feels Liam is the only person she can trust. As they spend more time together their relationship dynamics begin to change, and as the threat to the Princess increases so does Liam's protective personality.

Can a common cockney bad ass and a Royal Princess really make a life together? Can Liam continue to keep Taamira safe? Do all Fairytales have happy endings?
Amongst all the banter, thrills, drama and heartbreak we will find out.

Another Maddie Wade book I would highly recommend, as always she has produced a page Turner that you will struggle to put down once you've picked it up.

This was such a good book!! I have liked Liam since he was introduced in the Fortis series and had hoped that he would one day get his own story. This book was everything that I hoped it would be for him. The chemistry and build up between he and the princess was very entertaining. Taamira, the princess first appeared in one of the Fortis wedding novellas. Her past shaped the woman and princess that she became in this book. This was eye opening to the culture that some women are born into, along with the struggles that they face. The cockney and the princess is a wonderful live story with lots of action and suspense thrown in.

Liam’s story is another fantastic instalment to this amazing series. Having to run around after the entitled princess isn’t everyones idea of the perfect job but Liam secretly does for reasons he’d better not show to her. The Eidolon men and women come together again to welcome a new friend into their folds. The Princess has never had friends before or even much of a life and has little experience of it all but is willing to try to be normal and not have to answer to anyone. This is a must read series I’d highly recommend to others. Strong hot men and women that will have you not wanting to put it down.

Liam is the fourth book in the Eidolon Black Ops series by Maddie Wade.

“That was the story he would tell his children as they grew older, how the cockney saved the princess, and the princess saved him right back.”

Liam Hayes was distressed by the death of his best friend, a brother not by blood but by choice, and deeply wounded by the blame casted on him by his widow as well as himself for not being able to save him.
On an impromptu mission that changed his life for the better he rescued a princess that would later on give him back his happiness and for who he would do anything to keep her out of harms way.
Tammira Al-Kamila was a lonely and lovely princess from the Isle of Eyan betrayed by her family and who made it her mission in life to improve the lives of the women of her isle from the discriminatory forces of their law. After the traumatic experience of being kidnapped and the devastating betrayal of her people she reshaped herself and opened her heart to the man who saw and valued her for herself and not her royal title. Together Liam and Tammira overcame their obstacles and found their own happiness.

A Phenomenal Suspense Romance .
I Absolutely loved reading LIAM . This story is book four of EIDOLON Series . It's fantastic . Liam Hayes is an operative for EIDOLON . He's been devastated by the death of his best friend while they were working together then his widow named him and threw him out of her and her son's life . Liam is sent to guard Princess Taamira
Al Kamali due to the fact she fired her security team and requested Liam . Liam has been fighting his attraction to the Princess for some time since his team rescued her from abductors . Liam is the only one Taamira trusts and feels safe with . Liam must keep her safe from the threats and danger she gets from speaking out for women in her country's equal rights . As Liam and Eidolon work to keep her safe and find who is behind everything Taamira and Liam cannot fight their attraction and affection any longer . But danger is closing in and both are in danger . This is such a wonderful action packed and pulse pounding suspense . I didn't put it down till the end . I cannot to read the next in the series . This story will keep you completely captivated . I highly recommend taking the time to read .

Liam had just lost his best friend and it destroyed him and he had carried guilt for it ,but he now has a job to protect princess Taamira and liam enjoys getting her under her skin and has feelings for her but feels like she's way out of his league, but what he doesn't know is that the princess shares the same feelings, but first he has to find out who is targeting her and why but can he save her in time? This book was absolutely fantastic and omg i had tears streaming down my face a few times. Fate can be fantastic or it can be nasty but with them can it keep them together? This book i took my time reading because I knew Liams story was going to be hard and tear jerker and a emotional roller coaster ride. I absolutely 💯 loved this book.

Another great book in the Eidolon series, well written and enjoyable.
Liam and Taamira are two strong characters from totally different backgrounds, one a cockney Eidolon agent, the other a Princess. They each draw more strength from each other, and become even better people. Their history starts in a previous book, but it’s not necessary to have read it to understand how their love develops as Liam is called in to protect Taamira. This is a fast paced book, with a lot of emotion, thoroughly recommended.

The Princess and the commoner.... but is Liam trying to reach beyond his grasp? Is Taamira just teasing before she looks to a more elevated match? When a dangerous photo leaks, her first thought is to call Eidolon and ask (demand) that Liam come to oversee her security. Does this mean she is looking for more than just a bodyguard? Suspense and mysery lurks around the couple as they try to discover the root of the danger.

This book is amazing! I could not put it down. Maddie Wade has a way of writing a book that grabs me and I know I will enjoy the journey. Liam and Princess Taamina have sniped at each other for over a year while he has provided security for her. Taamira uses her attitude as a shield since she has been hurt by everyone she let get close, including her own family. She only feels safe when Liam is around. He enjoys her attitude and says things he knows will evoke that attitude. Liam has been hurt too. He blames himself for the death of his best friend from childhood and his coworker. Watching these two hurt souls navigate their feelings is fun. When the Princess is slated to give a speech regarding women’s rights in her restrictive country she is again threatened. This book has both the Eidolon, Fortis and Zenobi teammates plus significant others making appearances. This is a great addition to the Eidolon Series.

I will start by saying I received this book as an ARC. That being said it was a very entertaining read. I was hooked from the opening emotional scene, and it only got better from there. Seeing Liam help Princess Taamira to understand that it's okay to be who she is, even if others don't agree, and her helping him to overcome past grief to realize it's ok to keep living and moving forward was very moving. The banter between the characters is very entertaining. The meticulous way the team works together to protect the Princess only intensifies when Liam and Taamira make it official they are together. I It has everything you could want, suspense, mystery, Romance, humor.

I adore the Eidolon series by Maddie Wade. Each book is my new favorite. Liam is filled with sexiness, page-turning suspense, and a terrific love story. I could not put it down, and the wonderful range of emotions had me sniffing and laughing. The storyline with Liam and Princess Taamira has been building for a long time, and the resolution is fabulous! The inclusion of the Fortis characters was a treat. All of the ladies are awesome at kicking butts, but their protective, big hearted, alpha men help keep them safe. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!!

Wow! This book took me through all the emotions, from crying to laughing to everything in between. I loved Liam and Taamira’s story. Both are strong characters that you can’t help but love. They both stand up and fight for what they believe in. Their chemistry is off the charts and they are perfect for each other. A really good read with a good story line. Can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Loved this! Taamira is a strong woman, with a complicated past, and her differing views sometimes mean she is in danger.

Liam is entrusted with protecting Taamira, after someone in her security team betrays her. Liam and Taamira have a bit of a history - one where they irritate each other and drive the other one crazy. Underneath these actions, however, lie feelings of mutual respect and maybe... adoration?

This book was emotional at times, but had suspense, a little action, fun characters and some romance, together making a great read!

The rough around the edges cockney boy and the princess who stole his heart. She sets him on fire while at the same time wanting to strangle her. Princess Taamira is the quindisecila heroine, smart, beautiful, kind and saucy and she has met her match. Another great read from Maddie Wade, you cry and laugh throughout.

Another Excellent book within this series.
I Loved it.
Liam and Taamira are worlds apart she is the princess of Eyan and her world is very oppressive her culture does not hold woman in high regard, they dont matter. So she is fighting for the rights of the woman in her country and trying to make their lives better,so she is seen as a threat.
She finds she can't trust anyone as her privacy keeps being breeched.
The only person she can trust is Liam Hayes and his team.
Liam is a cheeky cockney who is hiding behind the grief of his friend.
He sees Taamira as a diva and someone who uses her status to get what she wants always demanding, for his attention and protection.
They are always sparring and bickering but when she needs him he is always there,so when Alex his boss tells him he has to go to her to find out who breeched her privacy and protect her he does without question.
He secretly has feelings for her and the sexual tension between them is electric,Taamira feels the same about Liam she feels safe with him and is attracted to him.
But she is a princess and he is just a bodyguard it would never be allowed, but the feelings they share for one another can't be contained and even though there is threats at every turn they cling to one another to get them through.
The Narration of this book is Amazing Carl Mason did an excellent job and I enjoyed his voice very much.
He was the perfect Liam.
This is a wonderful and surprisingly emotional book from Maddie wade who has me addicted to this series, full of action, romance, twists and turns,I can't get enough.
I Loved it and I am eager for the next book.

Liam
Eidolon Black Ops 4
By: Maddie Wade
Narrated by: Carl Mason

What would a princess need? A white knight! Liam is the only person Princess Taamira of Eyan feels safe with. Having saved her once, he has been the man of her dreams, but the unpolished, loud and disagreeable. How can she even think about him? Liam has been assigned to watch out for the Taarima. He can't stand her attitude and isn't looking forward to this mission. But there is definite chemistry that cannot be denied. They each bring the best out in each other. Maddie Wade has crafted an amazing romantic suspense around these two. Taamira is a strong woman, but there are people around who cannot be trusted and have put her in danger's way. Liam is a protective man, his love and strength over those he loves comes first. This is a fantastic addition to the series.

Carl Mason is new to me, and I think he is the perfect fit as Liam. He has a slight rasp, and incredible strength to his voice. He then can add a lilt and warmth bringing his love to the forefront. I enjoyed my first performance by him

Though Liam Hayes hated to be pulled away from questioning Gunner, he pretended to resent being called to Princess Taamira of Eyan’a side. Taamira had fired her security team for violating her trust and she was completely unprotected and Liam felt responsible for that because he’d had picked the team!

Since his friend, Ambrose’s death and how vehemently his wife blamed Liam, he hadn’t been the same. But when the guys on the team talked to him about Ambrose’s death, Liam had to eat a large helping of humble pie but it freed him to reach out to Taamira and found his feelings were definitely reciprocated. But as she continued her tour Taamira was constantly under threat, one would be assassin’s answers led the team to er family. They accosted Taamira in a restaurant irking Liam

A Cockney and a Princess would not be what would be called a match made in heaven. Yet, both Liam and Taamira have harbored unspoken feelings for each other ever since Eidolon rescued her from kidnappers. Although they do a good job of acting otherwise by constantly sniping at each other. Once again, raking over as her personal protection, it becomes apparent that could be in danger once again. Liam knows he shouldn't pursue his feelings but Taamira calls to him like a siren. She can no longer deny her feelings or him either. He gives her the confidence to stand up for her beliefs and be strong enough to espouse them to the world. She makes him see that he is worthy of her love and devotion.

When Princess Taamira of Eyan is betrayed by the security team that she thought she could trust she turns to the only guy who has made her feel safe. Liam does not look forward to having to spend so much time with a woman who he can’t have that seems to have awaken something inside of him that he thought was dead. As this story unfolds Liam and Princess Taamira found something that not everyone does a connection that is deepened with honesty. Liam is determined to keep her safe even if that means he has to put his life on the line. This was full of twists and turns. Great look into different cultural views and finding your own way. This is an experienced/inexperienced, forced proximity, suspenseful HEA.

An emotional and engaging romantic suspense read

Taamira, princess of the Isle of Eyan, only feels safe when she is with Liam, grief tortured member of Eilodon Black Ops. As the story progresses the threat hits close to home, her call for help is answered in more ways than one, and just because they jump some hurdles doesn’t mean that they have a clear the path to the future. Maddie Wade’s Liam is an emotional and engaging romantic suspense read. I am looking forward to reading about Mitch and seeing if there is anything in store for the rest of the team and maybe having the single gals from Zenobi get a side story or more.

Taamira doesn't like always being mad but she has been since her father and brother refused to pay her kidnappers for her release then a photo is splashed across all the tabloids of her sweating in her workout clothes in her private gym, so she fires her security team and calls Jack and ask that he send Liam.

I like that there's non-stop action and suspense from start to finish, I would recommend this book and series for mature readers only (sexual content) who enjoy reading stories that are funny, steamy, suspense and romantic, with strong characters both male and female.
