Sing For Me  Trisha Grace

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre:  Romance,

This is one for readers who want “clean” romance – where the sex isn’t graphic and explicit, but the romance takes more precedence. I like sex in books, but for me the story has to come first so I’m happy to read books like this too. Some readers don’t want sex scenes at all, so its really useful to have this description added for them by authors.
So – the story was good, I really liked both Chloe and Christopher, though the reasons they went from such a short but intense relationship where they planned a future together, to one where they were estranged for so long felt a little unreal. I’d have expected either of them to try to breach the gap but then of course we wouldn’t have the story!! That’s always a balance, getting the characters to where the story needs them to be realistically. When we learned more about the spilt and the reasons Chloe left I understood and could see her hurt. It was one more thing on top of the huge shock she’s just had, but for ages I kept wondering “ what on earth happened?”
Christopher had been a huge success and then fallen into the trap that so many do, and when he and Chloe met again after so many years I was just so anxious for them to talk, to see if they could get past what happened. I didn’t like Chloe’s boyfriend, he wasn’t awful, but I couldn’t feel the connection between them. It seemed one of those relationships that I think of as “drifting “ where each just doesn't really put in much effort but they just go along with the flow. That meant I would be happy to see that end and her reconnect with Christopher – there was a huge amount of barriers and actions before that could happen though.
Overall I really enjoyed this as a one off read, but though there was plenty of drama, lots of action, multiple plots that joined at the end, none of it really felt it had huge depth and the solutions were very quick and convenient. I do need my characters to suffer a bit, to get heartbreak, pain, angst...Hard person aren’t I ? ;-) That’s the reason this is four not five stars, I just felt there could have been more made of some of the plots – i.e. Rebecca....and everything was so neatly happy at the end. I don’t like the “bad” guys to get a good end, even if we do see there are reasons why they acted that way. Hey, its fiction, and I like people who are not nice to get their just desserts, not understanding and forgiveness!
there are some great characters here. a good story with lots of action and sub plots but for me it needed a bit more depth. As ever though not everyone wants that and if you’re looking for a clean romance, great characters that feel real and a story that’s easy to follow and not too intense, this could be perfect for you.

Stars: Four, a good one off read for me.

**** "Sing for Me" by Trisha Grace

What a wonderful novel that is a bit of coming of age, finding lost friendship and love, the journeys we all take individually and with others, family healing and family discord, and the true meaning of love and faith.

While there were a few slow sections, they were minimal, this not affecting the readers engagement in the novel to any major degree.

I loved the characters of Chloe and Christopher and how each has grown up and changed as they faced their own battles and demons over the 8 years they haven't seen one another. They really teach each other things of importance including new perspectives on ways of living, dealing with the press, blind faith, and who and when to trust and when to turn away.

Trisha Grace writes so beautifully and carries several storylines throughout the book without dropping any or lessening any until they have a true ending.

A sweet contemporary romance that many will enjoy. (It is a clean romance novel.)

Pick up a copy today. Definitely worth the read.

"Sing For Me" by Trisha Grace is my first read by this author but will not be my last. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised to find that a love story in today's modern world doesn't have to be tawdry and explicit to be good. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about the romance between Chloe and Christopher. Much more to this story but it deserves to be read.

Great book

Christopher and Chloe were childhood best friends. He becomes a famous singer and she is a song writer. They meet up again when she comes for his brother's birthday 🎂. This is a great story of a love lost and found again!

Good read

This was a good novel. Not much religious application though, but a good read anyways. Still a romance novel without the sex.

Fabulous

I love it when people come out of the worst kind of circumstances to become amazing human beings. Chloe is one of those people. This is a beautiful love story.

I found this to be a very touching and emotional story between two people each with their own "medical" condition. Truly interesting storyline interlaced with sadness, joy, hope, love, and a nice twist.

Will music manage to heal these wounds?

Chloe Brooks has been living in Italy for years. She has everything she wanted: a successful career, the ability to make sure she is as far away from her parents as possible, and an almost equally successful boyfriend. One phone call from a dear friend brings her back to the States, to her old neighborhood where she comes face to face with her childhood crush, Christopher Hunter. And one look into his eyes brings back all the memories and feelings she thought she has long-forgotten. Feelings she shouldn't have. (Amazon blurb)
Chloe has always supported Christopher through thick and thin, especially once he began his dream of becoming a singing sensation, but once she realized she came in second, she left. She disappeared to fulfill her own dream of creating her own music as she sees it, with all its colors and nuances, and eight years later she receives a call from her best friend, Christopher’s brother, asking her to come back home for his birthday. Their reunion is bittersweet and yet, they are unable to deny that the spark still exists, even after all that time. I have heard of special individuals who were able to see words, discussions and music in all sorts of colors and I’ve always been fascinated by them, how it’s impacted their lives and whether or not they’d get rid of it if they had the chance. This is the type of novel where romance, the side where emotions are more important than the physical and the personal link between two people is more important than past indiscretions, is soft and beautiful and music is soothing and healing. Trisha Grace has created a novel where readers from any age group has the opportunity to read a love story to be remembered and one that can last for ages to come.

I enjoyed Chloe and Chris' story. I know it sounds odd, but i am really intrigued by Chloe's ability to see colors with the sounds. Honestly, coolest thing ever, although I can see how it can be debilitating.
Sweet story of childhood friends how suffered a series of events and through no fault of their own were separated. 8 years later, they are reunited. Difficult doesn't begin to describe their relationship. A little work and a lot of communication will help. When outside forces start more problems, will they turn to each other?

Awesome!

I loved this book, I really did. I loved how Chloe's and Christopher's relationship was pure and simple and good. I loved how all the characters had all these different sides to them that made the book what if was. Of coarse it was written beautifully. Is it to much to hope for a sequel? :)
