This compilation is a good resource for young secondary teachers. The first part has several articles that deal with classroom management and instructional strategies. The rest of the book is lesson plans in various subject areas. I found 2 lesson plans in my content area that I may adapt and use myself. The lesson plans in other areas are still good models worth reading for ideas about how to organize content, tasks, and the classroom.

Award-winning teachers explain classroom success stories. Different chapters discuss different disciplines, yet I found that many ideas were interdisciplinary. Several mentioned resources I plan to purchase for our school library collection, i.e., Godel, Escher, Bach by Hofstadter.
