Having a baby after a one night stand was not something that Alyssa Clark had ever planned for but it was something she had grown to accept. Having lost contact with the father Gavin, Alyssa had been raising baby Tommy all by herself. However, Alyssa had no idea that the father was a WereDragon and that meant that Tommy would have inherited his abilities too.
Now with shady men coming after her wanting custody of the baby, Alyssa has no choice but to run, hide and hope her handsome WereDragon lover can come to her rescue....
This is a paranormal romance with excitement and adventure intertwined with sensual and adult scenes. Please only listen if these themes interest you!
Amira Rain is a popular author of a shifter and paranormal romance.
When she is not writing she enjoys dancing and going to the theatre. One of her big passions in life is chocolate and she has an irrational fear of spiders. So much so, that even a photo of a spider will scare her.
A super Dragon Shifter book. This book was extremely addictive and entertaining. Written well, with characters that are believable and likeable. There are two sex scenes, some swearing, drinking and a real good story line.
Overall I really enjoyed the story. I felt that the descriptions were bit lengthy And the author told half of the story instead of showing it. However, the storyline was unique and interesting and I would read future books in this series.
This story of Allyssa,,Tommy & Gavin was really different. The idea of Dragons being created by a germ was unique. Loved the formation of a separate country. Of course the relationship between Gavin as Allyssa was romantic and sweet. Tommy was a star. ...Loved him and would like to see him in another story. Recommended read.
i absolutely love shifter stories, so, so much. this has been the best one so far to date. i mean a two year old who can shift, wow, just wow! ms rain, wow! thank you.
It was ok read.. The begging of the story its dull and drags for a while.. It almost made me give up reading. When they finaly reunite more than 50% of the book passed..it was to slow for my taste. The 'happy days' are very short live and the end was to rush..
This story wasn't bad it was just sweet. Honestly I've raised 5 kids so a book where half the dialogue is from a two year old is not appealing. The story was about as interesting as a straight line, nothing happened. Even when something did happen, nothing happened. So much potential wasted.
Alyssa just wants to go to the fair, but instead she lets herself get roped into a bar trip. Getting cornered by half the pipeline crew working in Sandstone, Alyssa is rescued by Gavin, then gets her wish; a visit to the fair. After they spend the night together, Gavin promises Alyssa that he will come back to her, but he never does; Alyssa feels like she loves and hates him all at the same time. Alyssa is pregnant; after unsuccessfully trying to track Gavin down, she decides she will give her baby a loving home despite the circumstances, and when Tommy is born it is the happiest day of her life. But when Tommy reveals himself as a dragon shifter, Alyssa has no option but to flee, eliciting her brother’s help in her escape to the FDS, a shifter sanctuary. What a surprise when Alyssa confronts the FDS’s new Commander and it is Gavin. After hearing what Gavin has to say, Alyssa decides to give him another chance, but someone is out to ruin their happiness; there is a traitor in the FDS and Alyssa and Tommy are the targets. Tommy’s shifter abilities have been getting stronger and stronger, but he has always been uncomfortable when men are near Alyssa. When the traitors reveal themselves, and begin to threaten Alyssa, Tommy becomes angry and instead of his normal “light show”, he transforms into a dragon. This was an interesting shifter story, and had quite a few facets to make it an interesting and enjoyable read. I received a copy of this book in exchanged for an honest review.
This book had a slow start to it with some back and forth ramblings, but after a quarter through the book the real action and drama started.... which was rather great because I almost lost interest in reading it. I did find it to be a good read after all and I'm glad that I didn't give up on it as it finally became increasingly intriguing and very good at the end. Although near the end there was only a slight mess up with one of the characters names, I did find it to be a wonderful book!
My rating was based upon the authors beginning of the story, rather than the ending.
I would recommend this book to adults only due to the content.
Thank you Amira Rain for the wonderful story that you have created. It's definitely a different type of Dragon paranormal romance novel. I love the new way that everything played out!
What happens when the heroine Alyssa has a passionate night with the hero Gavin who unknown to her is a dragon shifter. When Alyssa finds herself pregnant she knows that she will need to get the baby to safety because shifters are now rounded up by the government for testing. When the babies father finds them will he be able to keep them safe and how does he explain to Alyssa why he left after their one night of passion. I recommend you read this book and fall in love with the littlest Dragon shifter at only 2 years old.
A decidedly new twist on dragon lore. An experiment gone wrong by an emotionally disturbed scientist creates a new evolution. Males turning into dragons. One woman's only one night stand changes her life in more than way. Her beautiful baby's difference becomes apparent and their world changes in one afternoon. Amira Rain writes an intriguing story that I couldn't put down.
I liked this story ok, but it was a little slow. There were a lot of rambling story telling about what had happened in the past for about six chapters and this was after the first chapter which was about the present. I hate to say it, but after about 11 chapters I jumped to the final chapter and it all came together and don't feel like I missed anything by skipping the other chapters. This is just my opinion, but others may like it better than I did
I got this book free on Kindle Unlimited and figured I would read it while waiting for another author to release her latest book. Much to my surprise I really loved it. The characters were well defined and the story, while, a bit different, was great. I hope there are/will be more in the series.
I was bored most of the time and skimmed through the pages. I think it could have been a great story if their wasn't so much unnecessary talk. Also there is no way a woman forgives being abandoned and lied too that easily, I was so angry that she wasn't angry. I would have him groveling at least.
This story was ok but it was very long winded. Way too much description it almost felt like the author was just telling us about everything instead of showing us. The overall storyline was great but I did skim a lot. I have read other books by this author so I was kind of surprised.
I found this book to be a little slow in the beginning then it just took off, the spin at the end was surprising. All in all a good book. Received FREE for an honest review.
This is an incredible love story that spans about 3 years. Alyssa, Gavin and Tommy a lovely triangle that pushes you into adventure with breathtaking scenes.
If you like shifter books this one is good and has a different approach. The characters are strong and interesting. The overall premise is also ... Interesting.
