I loved this book!! It has second chances, rediscovery of love, banter, a twin brother that meddles and some family mysteries, with a light sprinkle of spice.
One of the main reasons I like this book it's because Sophie is not some 20 something finding herself, but she is in her 40s with life experiences. Experiences that I can relate too, her insecurities, her fears and self doubt.
** Spoiled Alert**
I loved the story of Sophie and Liam. They are Childhood sweethearts that went their separate ways, to go to college and follow their dreams, only now they are both back in Ireland. He is a stablished artist and Sophie is healing after a horrible marriage, that left her doubting herself worth. But with some thought love and nudges by her twin Keefe. Sophie and Liam get to have a HEA with some drama sprinkled around.
I absolutely love this series and the Klutzy series that are in the same world. Jude brings to life some amazing locations, life experiences and great banter in all her books.
4.5/5 Book number six in the O’Brians series does not disappoint! I have a hard time choosing favorites but I think Sophie and Liam are up there for my favorite couple in this series!
There’s great character development for our FMC, Sophie, who goes from distraught, downtrodden, and unsure of herself after a nasty divorce to confident in herself and her desires, namely her childhood BFF and prior love interest, Liam.
Jude continues to weave together the story of the O’Brians clan, throwing in the mystery that seems to circle Cian and his dubious ways, throwing in hints of spice with the romance of the main characters, and she keeps you turning pages until the very end. I love Jude McLean’s spectacular writing and I’m on the edge of my seat for the final installment, Surrender.
This is my favorite O’Brians book so far! It’s written with a lightness of heart, that even though there are struggles I only felt surrounded by hope. It was an easy read that I fell into and enjoyed through the last page. I love the little twists Liam brings to the table that add to the continuing plot of the series, but that it was a solid story for him and Sophie. The pub element was fun, and I enjoyed seeing familiar faces we’ve all come to love. And THANK THE LORD someone put Sondra out of her misery (or should I say everyone else’s!). It was great from start to finish and I truly loved it. Can’t wait for what’s next!
Another terrific O’Brian story. Thoroughly enjoyed Sophie and Liam’s second chance romance. Her sass is infectious, you will laugh out loud. Lot’s of fun family time, a few plot twists and situations that will make you smile and probably need a whiskey. An ending that will make you want more! Quick page turning read. Jude McLean has done it again. I received a complimentary copy of this book, all opinions in this review are my own.
Amazing absolutely amazing. I loved every minute of this book. The characters are so real that I felt I knew them. So real that I felt as though I was there with them, feeling and dealing with everything they faced. Sophie is such a passionate strong character that she walks off the page to be part of your life. An awesome novel. Can’t wait for the next chapter of the O’Brians.
Holy cliff hanger Batman!!! I literally can’t wait for the next book. This was such a sweet story and really ties in the other two couples as well!! I really resonated with Sophie and omg Liam is the book boyfriend of my dreams!!! Jude is a go to author for me and this series has a special place in my heart!!
Spice is extremely light and more of page. No cussing or vulgar language
Loved it!!!..I didn't want to put it down. there were laughter and tears.. you make the people and the places come alive and you can picture it in your mind while reading.. I can't wait for the next book to come out so I can get it...

Kind of sweet romance, but that part keeps you from thinking about the good stuff. Relations you don’t expect and an evil side thats hard to imagine until you meet the character. Wish the evil mother was more developed but decent if you don’t want heavy romance.
